Auto Detect Speed in Traffic
Instead of the user selecting the "level" of traffic, Waze should automatically detect the user's speed for a specified time and/or distance to calculate an accurate delay due to the traffic. Then Waze should continue to monitor new users as they pass through the traffic zone to determine if the event is still occurring or if it needs to be removed and transit times recalculated.

Mutual location
It will be perfect if we could plan a route, connect on the map with the other driver friends on the road.
Example: 2 buddyes, 2 cars, same destination. By being connected to each other on the map, we could see each others location.5 votes -

Enforcement trailer
Germany and parts of Europe experience a whole new kind of speed cameras since a year or so, the so-called "enforcement trailers".
Since two months these are used on the german Autobahn on a regular basis.
The trailers are moved from place to place and stay there for up to two weeks. The places are used recurrent, e.g. there are 40 places in North Rhine Westfalia and 10 trailers, every place get's a trailer once in a while.Marking them as mobile speed camera is useless, since they always disappear because of the low waze usage in germany.

Add friends without facebook
Why am I forced to use facebook in order to add friends to Waze?? I don't use facebook, 75% of the world's population does not use facebook at all (and more with every day). Is keeping fb afloat Waze's most important purpose?
Anyway, I don't want facebook friends on Waze, I want Waze friends on Waze and facebook friends on facebook, don't try to mix a driving app with a social network.2,154 votesThanks for your feedback. WAZE changing my usual route
I just wish WAZE would let me know the reason why it wants to change my usual route to something different. I was working 30 min away from home and one day it routed me in a different direction. Turns out, at the 20min mark was an accident and it had the traffic stopped. Just wish it told me the reason why.

Proposer l'arrivée à proximité et de l'autre côté de la rue
Il semble qu'actuellement Waze nous guide jusqu'à l'adresse indiquée, y compris du bon côté de la rue. (Par exemple il va nous guider jusqu'au 15 de la rue même si on aurait pu aller au 16 qui est en face en parcourant 1 km de moins).
Si on ne peut pas faire demi tour dans cette rue, le parcourt suggéré par Waze est parfois allongé inutilement car il veut absolument nous faire arriver du bon côté de la rue. Il faudrait ajouter une option pour que Waze nous guide 'a proximité', avec une distance règlable (ex : 200m) et Waze…3 votes -
Add places you want or need to visit, when you are near.
I am forgetful. It would be amazing to add places you should visit somtime. Like going to a special store or picking up something you bought. Or even jobs you need to do.
You could set a nearby limit, like when in aprox 3km away you get a popup of this place, do you want to visit this place on your route today?
You should be able to add vital information as phone numbers and links to items or places.

Ask before you grab a persons time.
Before the app goes through all the set-up screens please ask the user if they just need directions right now and set-up later. They might be in a difficult situation and not have time for an app that keeps trying to build their profile. Your product us used in a dangerous environment and insistent / persistent distraction is stressful at the least and at worst potentially life threatening.

Why does it have to say for example us 12 South US 20 South US 45 South exit South seems like a lot of overhead and it gets really annoying
Deuce the redundancy of The Voice it doesn't need to say us 12 South US 20 South US 45 South every time some times 8 times in a row it repeats that

add option for voice navigation
In voice navigation, you can add new option that can integrate with text to speech that instal on android device, like google talkback. If you can integrate with espeak text to speech, voice navigation can read street names and all guides in 79 languages.

Set destination via point on map
Be able to set your destination by selecting point on the map (like in google maps), for places that don't have an exact postcode or you don't know it.

Connect with train position tracking systems
Connect Waze and train position tracking systems like http://provoz.szdc.cz/grappnv/ to warn the driver in advance that he/she is approaching rail crossings and a train is in near vicinity and therefore there is serious danger and he/she should be aware of it. I can help you with implementation in Czech Republic. Thanks.

Things i wish i had on my 2k mile road trip
- allow police moving as an option
- allow tracking of route, speed, location, comments, and pins to be displayed if looking for something. (i hit a deer and the only thing I did was marked it on Waze and I don’t know where i was)
- Beep function not working for me would like to honk at others
- Announce toll booths ahead
- Price corrections on gas when parked at the gas station
- Allow notifications for comments for review later some are hilarious

Magnification option
Frequently I feel like I have to zoom out or in to see what lies ahead of me on the road. It's difficult but more so dangerous to adjust zoom, as it requires a lot of tinkering with fingertips. Not so good with driving.
I suggest the same map layout Waze currently has -- but with two or three small boxes (i.e. interfaces) across the bottom of the screen. By pressing on one of them it zooms automatically to a 4x magnified map display, for example. The other boxes could be an 8x, 16x, or whichever magnification preference the user…
