Alert sounds
Please can you add the ability to enable Wazers to select alert sounds. The speed limit alert sound is so short and quiet it is almost impossible to hear even at full volume. The ringing bell for roadworks is so loud and clear but doesn’t really need to be! I would love to be able to select the sound for each alert notification. Thanks!

Enable Speech-to-Text for Map Update Requests While Driving (via Android Auto and CarPlay)
I would like to suggest an improvement to Waze that would allow users to fill out map update requests (URs) using speech-to-text while driving, particularly when connected through Android Auto or CarPlay.
Currently, when users select a map update option (such as "Incorrect address," "Missing road," or "Speed limit") while driving, there is no way to add a description of the issue. This limits the ability to provide detailed reports and often results in incomplete information being submitted. With speech-to-text functionality, users could quickly and safely dictate descriptions of the problem without having to stop or manually type anything.

Fixed danger zones are not displayed when navigation is not activated, unlike the Coyote or tomtom application where the zones are signaled until the end. "you enter a danger zone" and this disappears instantly before even passing a fixed radar. Waze must keep the alert throughout the area, even if the route navigation is not activated ( FRANCE )

I was travelling by road in Oman and noticed many of the Speed Bumps & Speed Camera locations are not correct.

Displaying the sections where the speed of travel from point A to point B is recorded by the cameras of the Toll system for vignettes.
Hello Bulgaria, but not only Bulgaria. Since the beginning of September 2025, the toll system that monitors purchased vignettes has started measuring average speed in certain sections of the road network.
Unfortunately, these road sections are not marked on the road itself, and drivers have no way of knowing that they are entering these sections.
The state, represented by the Road Agency and the Toll System, published a list and map on their website showing where these sections are located, and that was the end of the information on this change.

Speed camera notifications AFTER passing it
I think you should get rid of the notification that comes up with the little timer after you've passed a speed camera. It takes so long to go away and it's not convenient to press close so many times. Plus it's not useful what's the point you've passed it now

I think the rules to rise in waze ranks ,should be written to evolve at the levels, and the rise to the warrior level should be facilitated. What are the requirements to level up anyway? It is not written anywhere. Thanks

Hi Ella and colleagues, I have a waze suggestion. Please ask the Waze engineer to please add an option in the Settings of the App for the end-user: please let me explain first. Waze no longer is asking for re-routing permission - Waze now just dynamically (automatically) re-routes now in the middle of navigating. And I understand why, this is because to minimize distraction. Please stop automatic (dynamic) re-routing. Waze no longer is asking for re-routing permission from the user during active navigation. First of all, thank you for an outstanding app that continues to improve travel experiences worldwide. I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly benefit drivers who tow caravans or trailers – or who, for any reason, are legally required to drive at lower speeds than regular traffic.
Currently, Waze assumes standard vehicle behavior and speed limits. However, in many countries (such as across Europe), towing a trailer legally restricts drivers to lower speeds – often 80 km/h on highways, regardless of the posted limit. Allow users to choose to display routes on their Phone instead forcing on the Android Auto
Allow users to choose whether to use their phone as Waze for routes or Android Auto as the main display, instead of forcing it to display on Android Auto. Some people want to stream music using Android Auto and use their phones to see directions, as it doesn't distract them from the road. Some head units in cars are positioned lower from the direction of the road and are more of a hassle to look at while driving.

Adjust the location of alerts
In Android Auto, whenever an alert appears, it hides the search buttons, alternative routes, sound, and especially the button to create an alert. This means you have to close the alert to access the create alert button. This wastes time creating the alert and makes it unsafe, as this additional step distracts the driver.
One suggestion is to have alerts appear below the traffic directions without pushing the interface to the right.

Add support for government emergency alerts (cell broadcast integration) to notify drivers entering affected areas
As a Waze volunteer editor, I’d like to suggest integrating a feature that uses official cell broadcast emergency alerts sent by governments or national agencies (such as AMBER Alerts, severe weather warnings, or public safety alerts).
The idea is simple: when a Waze user drives into an area where a cell broadcast alert was recently sent, the app could display a notification or short message about it — even if that driver didn’t originally receive the alert on their phone because they were outside the area at the time.
