Animal Crossing Hazard
I tend to be on the road often and absolutely love using Waze whenever I need a GPS. As someone on the road often, I tend to notice there are many times that there are sudden animal crossings or a lost pet on the side of the road. This does tend to be on highways where many people are going very fast and are not as careful with their driving.
I recently thought of the idea- I think Waze should include a button, under the hazard category where we could press some form of “careful animal crossing” button to warn…

Announce destination address and side of road
Rather than just saying, "We're here" say something like, "You've arrived at xxxx street on the right."

Make the electric car pop-up optional
The electric car pop up shows every time I am putting in an address to go to. I don’t have an electric car and many others don’t as well. This pop-up should be removed and put under settings a person with an electric car can turn that feature on.

I find the speed zone is too small, it should be enlarged.

Speed limit indicator
Change the colour of the 'proportion of speed limit' indicator line from grey to green which would make it easier to read at a glance and mean less time looking away from the road - especially useful in built up areas where it's sometimes not clear whether the limit is 20mph or 30mph

Optional persistent reminder while inside an active school zone
Waze already provides an alert when a driver enters an active school zone, which is very helpful. However, once that initial alert has passed, there is no ongoing indication that the driver is still within the active school zone.
In real driving conditions, drivers may stop at traffic lights, turn onto side streets, or continue driving for several minutes within the same school zone. Over time, the initial alert can fade from awareness, even though the zone is still active.

Since Januarry 1st, 2026 the highway system in Italy added a new trafic control system called NAVIGARD.
As affected routes are public, would be super usefull to have it as a new alert type in WAZE.Thank you for considering.

Lack of Context in Rerouting: Security Risks and User Autonomy
The current Waze algorithm often reroutes users on long-distance trips without providing the underlying reason (e.g., specific accidents, road closures, or incremental traffic). While this "silent optimization" might work for short urban commutes, it represents a significant strategic failure for long-haul navigation for the following reasons:
Safety vs. Efficiency: By prioritizing the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) above all else, the app frequently diverts drivers from well-monitored, high-infrastructure highways to poorly maintained or dangerous secondary roads to save a negligible amount of time. Dip Permanent Hazard
It would be great to have a new category of permanent hazards for dips in the roadway. Currently, there is no appropriate category for such. Many municipalities have man-made dips to serve as a traffic calming device. On the other hand, natural dips in the roadway may be encountered by Wazers throughout their travel. Having this permanent hazard can warn Wazers of such occurrences ahead of time in order to slow down and prevent potential damage to vehicles.
Another suggestion (https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/38921404-reporting-uneven-road>) regarding uneven roads might be relevant as part of this new permanent hazard category.

Wrong-Way One-Way Alert
Hello,
Request the implementation of an Alert Feature in the application that provides an immediate audio and visual warning on the map if the system detects the vehicle is traveling the wrong way on a One-Way Street.
This feature would significantly enhance driving safety and help prevent potential accidents.

Speedometer Alarm Customization
Hi, the main reason I found and installed Waze was to help manage my speed on long trips. As others have mentioned in the past, the alarm is somewhat subtle and short, which reduces its effectiveness. I would encourage you to add several styles of alarm for someone to choose from, and/or an option to keep the alarm on or beeping until under the desired speed threshold. I'm envisioning something like a seatbelt alarm, because those are very effective!

HUD Interface
I own LEXUS NX450 F-Sport and use WAZE through Car Play. The problem is that there is no interface between the WAZE and the Head-Up-Display. For example, Apple Maps has such an interface. I think this is a must feature you have to add.

Pothole confirmation
Hello. We have many potholes on roads in Ukraine. They are correctly marked by wazers/users. Why waze asks me every time, each pothole, is it still there? Yes, if it was marked, it will be there for months, or even a year. It will not disappear in 15 minutes! Please fix this issue. It really distracts me. If the pothole was marked by 2 or 3 person, it is permanent. For the next few weeks it will be there for sure! No need to ask each driver, is it still there? dynamic rerouting
Please stop automatic (dynamic) re-routing. Waze no longer is asking for re-routing permission from the user during active navigation. Waze is now dynamically (automatically) re-routes user without askiing nor alerting the user. Please STOP automatic (dynamic) re-routing without asking user's permission.
