"Other side" reporting of police should ONLY be available on divided highways and interstates.
One shouldn't have to look at the screen to see a marked police location but get no audible report/alert. Please alert for both directions.
People in town or rural highways often use "other side" tag but the police are present for BOTH directions because it's not like they can't be watching lanes each way on regular roads.2 votes -
Next Turn Information Location On Android
The next turn information seems to not move depending on where the driver is seated e.g. I'm from the UK so we are right hand drivers, so for me it would make sense to have the next turn information closer to me.
In android Auto settings there is a driver location setting which i thought would correct the problem but sadly that's not the case.

Temporary private roads <-> RTC
Concerning roadworks, city nowadays more and more define areas around the closed roads as temporary private roads to route traffic around the closed areas. Now we have no there solution but to close those roads also, but this results in many URs stating that the roads are not closed for the inhabitants or customers of the businesses located there. Would it be possible to create a sort of RTP (Realtime Private road) like the closures we have now?

Lors de l'entrée dans une zone de contrôle tronçon, Waze signale le début du contrôle, mais il est difficile de savoir ensuite si sa vitesse moyenne reste sous la limite autorisée.
Il serait utile d'afficher, jusqu'à la fin du tronçon, la vitesse moyenne calculée en temps réel, avec un indicateur visuel (vert/orange/rouge) et, en option, une alerte sonore lorsque la vitesse moyenne dépasse la limite.
Cette fonctionnalité aiderait les conducteurs à respecter la limitation de vitesse tout au long du contrôle, en favorisant une conduite plus sereine et plus sûre.

Implement a user-selectable feature to inhibit re-routes that won't save more than nn minutes
Simple. Provide radio buttons for Settings that will allow one to inhibit re-routes unless they will save one a minimum of some number of minutes; e.g., 5-minutes, 10 minutes

Permanent warning of the possibility of animal crossing
Hi, It occurred to me that it would be useful to have a permanent warning (like the Tutor) of the possibility of wild animals (like deer) or domestic animals (like cows) crossing the road.
My suggestion is for the following feature: Added permanent warning “Possible animal crossing”.
My suggestion solves this problem: Know how far and how many kilometers you’ll be at risk of animals crossing the road. Don’t be caught unprepared when dealing with animals.
In more words: The warning would be similar to the average speed control warning. This warning doesn’t replace the animal warning, but it would provide advance warning…

Network issues
When gps or network can't be found because you parked in a car park or garage. Can the app try and find a gps connection or network connection again ever 30 seconds or a minute for when you have reception again so waze can get updates.
When waze suggests directions to a regular destination. Can the box disappear after 30 seconds or a minute. The box stays indefinately at present and it's annoying to click on each time you start the car after stopping cause waze thinks it knows where you want to go.

Allow multiple custom voice recordings per command (randomized playback)
Please allow users to upload or record multiple audio variants for each command, and let Waze randomly choose one during navigation.
This would make custom voices far more natural, fun, and less predictable.
Even a simple “playlist” of recordings per command would greatly improve the feature.Thank you for considering this enhancement.

Group travel
It is possible to create travel groups between people, both with the same destination and the same route. If someone makes a mistake on the way, the route is automatically adjusted for everyone. It should be possible to see where the other people in the group are.

CarPlay UI improvements: Cross-street names on map and proactive visual alternate routes
I would like to propose two purely visual UI improvements for Waze on Apple CarPlay, specifically designed for drivers who prefer on-screen cues over voice alerts:
- Real-time cross-street labels on the map: Please add a feature or setting to display the names of upcoming cross-streets or major intersecting roads directly on the CarPlay map layout, rather than only showing the name of the next turn. This helps drivers maintain spatial awareness and quickly recognize familiar local alternative routes via visual landmarks.

Inaccurate speed limit on Robson Boulevard in Eloy Arizona
On Robson Boulevard in Eloy, Arizona, you show the speed limit is 25 miles an hour but in most parts I grow up in Boulevard it’s actually 35 miles an hour. Can you correct that because it makes it look like I’m speeding when I’m not really speeding because I’m going 35 and a 35 zone and Waze tells me I’m speeding because it thinks the speed limit is 25.

Average-speed zone UI and stationary camera voice alert
In landscape mode the vertical green bar for distance to an average-speed zone disappears. Keep it visible in landscape.
Show time of entry into an average-speed zone and the earliest allowed exit time, so the driver can judge speed to the exit.
Add a short voice alert when approaching a stationary speed camera. There is none today.

CarPlay Hazard Button Highlighted Better (Apple)
In Apple CarPlay scrolling to get on the Hazard Icon at the bottom left it is hard to tell if your on it or not as it gets a small grey ring around it and the yellow colour changes slightly. I’m sure this used to be more noticeable as you have to do it quickly while driving. Consider maybe looking at how it was or change colour more obviously when you are on the hazard button. Could be made more obvious or change to orange or red maybe when your over it and about to click it.

Audible Police Alerts
I would love for WAZE to audibly alert me to a police sighting posted for the opposite direction I am driving. Right now, it only alerts me (audibly) if the police post is on my side of the road. Since I travel on 2-lane roads a lot, it would help if I could be (audibly) alerted to a police post on either side of the road, since most police can easily stop a car going either direction. The audible could say "Police ahead on the left" or "Police ahead on the right."

Ability to report traffic building up due to lowered railroad crossing arms.
Add an option for users to report when railroad crossing arms are down, similar to reporting a crash, hazard, or road closure. This could alert other drivers and help Waze suggest alternate routes before they get stuck waiting for a train. In my town, we only have two routes to get north. The railroad crossing is the fastest, but if the arms are down with a train passing, it can sometimes be 20-45 minutes before going back up.
