  2. waze for bike trails using Columbus, Ohio as a testing ground.

    Bike trails serve as transportation networks, not just recreational routes. Therefore, it's important to communicate to riders about trail hazards that might effect their commute time such as high water on the trail causing need for reroute, areas where sight lines are restricted due to over growth of vegetation, fallen trees across the trail, security concerns, potholes and more. We'd love to test such a feature in Columbus, Ohio!

  5. map correction for Northridge Ave, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109

    Please contact me at 505 331 3882 to discuss how to fix this map error.
    The correct map is now at least 50 years old. Please have a map editor call me so we can get it fixed. I could e-mail a correct map if that would help. But mainly, please respond to this request!!!!

  6. Improve!!

    The app was amazing for the time 4 years ago... Stop taking all the data and using it for gmaps and not reciprocating by putting some money into map control and manipulation. The finger pinch zoom is horibble to put it lightly! It seems from a user's point of view that the relationship between Google and Waze is like a child who eats all of the frosting off a cupcake and leaves the rest for his dad to eat. Ya it will fill him up but looks like shit and doesn't taste as good as it could!

  8. 'Lets get started'

    I usually activate Waze while I'm still at bedroom (morning) or in the office (at EOD) so I can use the WIFI and review the route before getting in the car.
    In both cases, I don't want to wake up my souse and kids in the morning nor notify the whole office that I'm leaving soon, but the starting navigation notice sound "Route is ready, let's get started" does just that !!
    There's really no need for that so it should be totally removed or at least allow the user to disable it permanently, without the need to silence the…

  10. A second nickname for use while driving dangerous mountain passes.

    All WAZE apps would have an optional second nickname that is the same for all WAZE users. (ex. "SafetyTrakr") When selected this nickname would be visible to local incident response agencies so they could track your path as you travel through dangerous areas such as mountain paths during severe weather. If your icon stops or disappears, that would be cause for concern by the emergency response agency. For those with privacy concerns, it could be turned on only if you get stranded in one of these monitored areas. Your icon would then show up as being a stopped vehicle.

    כאשר מחפשים כתובת שכבר חיפשנו בעבר, היא מופיעה למטה תוך כדי הקלדה. אם בוחרים בה היא לא נשארת. הייתה אמורה להיות בראש הרשימה. היא לא שם. חייב ללחוץ על חיפוש, להמתין, למצוא אותה ברשת מחדש ורק אז לבחור בה.

  12. Dommage que l'on ne puisse pas suivre un ETA depuis la carte sur le Web !

    Lors que l'on va sur le carte (sur le site Web), il n'est pas possible de suivre un Wazer avec son ETA, même en étant connecté. C'est dommage.

  15. Gas stations

    The gas price section is a nice idea, but when I tried to enter prices from a location, I was not interested in choosing a favorite brand (I dislike all oil companies in general). More appropriate would be the fuel type: unleaded regular, diesel, non-oxigenated, whatever (my favorite). Maybe partnering with Gas Buddy would be a good idea.

  16. As Guide of Rome I would love to have a Waze to alarm defense vs. terror!

    Nobody knows a City like mine better than local guides. We note every tiny change and danger, if any around: sending an icon of danger or asking for help from a specific location, warning video cameras could be rapidly directed towards the event spot, alarming defense, allowing to call who sent an icon, for more information, if necessary. Perfect and low cost, since system already exists, needing just a few more icons! Ciao, Ned Fassio

    Change the DEFAULT 'avoid toll roads' setting to yes, requiring the driver explicitly know about the potential for being charged, especially now that many tolls are invoiced electronically based on plate number.

    בעיר סאו פאולו ואני מאמין שגם בערים אחרות בעולם ישנה בעיה של ריבוי נתיבים, לכן המון פעמים אנחנו טועים בדרך בגלל שטות קטנה לפי דעתי שינוי הצבע יפתור את הבעייה באופן כמעט מוחלט.
