Speed limit indicator
Change the colour of the 'proportion of speed limit' indicator line from grey to green which would make it easier to read at a glance and mean less time looking away from the road - especially useful in built up areas where it's sometimes not clear whether the limit is 20mph or 30mph

How Can Waze Improve Safety Alerts for Toyota Rent a Car Users?
Using Waze during Toyota Rent a Car trips is helpful, especially for navigation and traffic updates. However, safety alerts could be more accurate and timely. For example, earlier warnings about accidents, road closures, and sudden traffic slowdowns would help drivers react better. Optional persistent reminder while inside an active school zone
Waze already provides an alert when a driver enters an active school zone, which is very helpful. However, once that initial alert has passed, there is no ongoing indication that the driver is still within the active school zone.
In real driving conditions, drivers may stop at traffic lights, turn onto side streets, or continue driving for several minutes within the same school zone. Over time, the initial alert can fade from awareness, even though the zone is still active.

The current Waze algorithm often reroutes users on long-distance trips without providing the underlying reason (e.g., specific accidents, road closures, or incremental traffic). While this "silent optimization" might work for short urban commutes, it represents a significant strategic failure for long-haul navigation for the following reasons:

Hi, because I focus on the road. I only look at my phone when checking the route as I prefer not to have the Voice.

Improve motorcycle mode and route suggestions
It’s great that Waze has a dedicated motorcycle mode. However it does not feel like a dedicated mode. We get the same road suggestions as with a car. A motorcycle can move fast through smaller roads and not be stuck in traffic. If I choose avoid motorways, I may miss a part that would be better done there. Moreover, proposals and ETA are impacted by lane splitting. But this does not always work or is allowed, so it should not be taken on board. And on the interface side, you still need to push buttons - there is not great…

Button Layout
This isn’t a new feature, but a slight change to an existing feature. When I am driving and I get alerts for a vehicle on the side of the road or police ahead I get two long horizontal buttons to report if it’s still there or not. I believe these buttons would be easier for drivers to touch if they were side-by-side as they would be more square and still utilizing the same screen real estate. Many times, I press the wrong one because the horizontal buttons are too narrow.

Update for Android
I have a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu Premier. My vehicle has a LED cluster that shows native navigation based on SD card. It has an android auto. Is there an update that would let me use Waze to show on my LED cluster for directions?

Depuis quelques temps le bouton pour arrêter la navigation via android auto fonctionne très mal. La réinstallation n'a rien changé ni le vidage des caches. Dommage je pense retourner vers Google Maps pour éviter ce souci récurrent.
