  2. Voice Search shouldn't require so many taps to work.

    The best driving apps are ones that you don't have to touch very often since that takes concentration away from the road. Waze lets you search via tapping the Microphone button but then still requires multiple taps to complete the request.

    Current steps:
    1) TAP magnifying glass
    2) TAP microphone
    3) Say name of place to go
    4) Look at the screen to see the list of possible suggestions
    5a) TAP the location you want if shown, or
    5b) TAP the Search button for more results and then TAP the location you want
    6) TAP the Go button
    7) TAP…

  3. Gas station PUR

    I see many PUR about gas station prices being wrong, and the only option we have is to hit "ignore" since we can't contact the reporter and we can't change prices in the editor. I'd like to have the app automatically pop up a box showing the user how to change gas prices if they report a problem and the place type is a gas station. Obviously many users don't know how or know that they can change gas prices themselves.

  4. Tweeks on your max speed alerts

    Two comments on your speed limit alert. 1st, the sound alert is barely audible and not continous while still speeding. 2nd, when I slowed down after exeeding the speed limit, then I speed up again, I get no audio alert that I exeeded the speed limit again. 3rd, maybe you can add an option as to when I will get notified of speeding. Like maybe before I reach a percentage of the max speed I can get notified already. Thanks and more power to you guys.

  6. Set voice command language equal to Waze interface language

    Currently, Waze expects voice commands in the language of the country that I am in. It disregards that the phone language. (English in my case, therefore, waze interface is also in English). I am, however, in Portugal. Therefore Waze voice commands are expected in Portuguese.

    Consider the new implementation on no roaming fees in Europe. When I drive to Spain, I am expected to speak Spanish. When I go to Croatia, I am expected to speak Croatian.

    Solve this by setting the voice language to the language of the phone (or waze). Otherwise Waze voice commands are useless.

  7. Popup for Ads while Navigating

    Great work! I am really digging the revamped UI. I like this app because it actually makes my commutes fun. Waze has access to very rich data, which gives me complete context-awareness.

    One thing that I would like to point out is the way in which ads have been implemented. It greys out my entire navigation screen with the top half portion being taken up by the ad itself.   9. police reports

    Hi, I would like to make a suggestion for us waizers that will be very helpful. Perhaps you can add a choice to click on police report that is in the screen so that we just press on it instead of going to Reports then choosing police and then sending it. Please take in consideration that we are driving and most Likely can't stop and enter report and that by the time we enter the report we are ways further from the area we saw the police.   10. Recover connection after loss of signal

    When I'm on the road and the cellphone loses signal, Waze goes off line and tries to reconnect. But when my cellphone gets signal again, Waze doesn't reconnect unless I close it and restart it or sometimes I even have to restart the phone! Then it gets network connection again, but I lose all the way I have traveled.
    There should be an update that fixes this issue. Thank you!

    Is there a Family Locator function? Like if your family member is a waze user, and for privacy they'll let your phone see their location, and you can be guided to their location by the gps?

  16. Adjust optimization for navigation by setting threshold for saving time

    Currently, we can choose the navigation type of "Fastest". In my experience, this means that Waze sometimes sends you on an alternate route for a very small time savings.

    I'd like to be able to set a threshold for deviating from a route. For instance, each additional 1000 feet of travel must save 2 or more minutes. Or using a smaller street must gain at least 5 minutes.

    This could be presented to the user as a slider between fastest and shortest, or an advanced mode that allows one to tweak each parameter.

    Firefox OS (formerly boot-to-Gecko) is a soon-to-be-released platform for low-end smartphones for emerging markets. It combines a stripped-down Android base (called Gonk) with Gecko (the Firefox render engine) and Gaia, a client layer written entirely in HTML5. The Mozilla Foundation is making some apps available for the commercial release, including HERE Maps, created by Nokia, but HERE is not a very good mapping solution, it lacks turn-by-turn navigation and the interface is overall a mess.   19. Allow showing route without starting voice navigation directions

    Their time to when you want to see the route and know how long it's going to take without actually starting voice command navigation. I would suggest adding another button in the route dialog box next to the go button or the routes button that just says "Route Only", or have a checkbox there that turns off voice navigation (so when you tap Go it just shows the route and time to destination).

  20. A more credible alert...

    The following factors would give a "certainty" rating to each report:
    * Number of wazers ahead of me (within .5-2 miles)
    * Number of minutes since the alert was posted
    * Number of "thanks" attached to report
    * Whatever logic Waze uses to determine more credible users...
