Lane Guidance
While using Waze on highways lately, I have begun to think that having the ability to see what lane becomes the off ramp would be great, especially in complex city interchanges.
Great news! The Lane Guidance feature is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Doesn't "In 1 mile, Exit Right/Exit Left" and driver attentiveness do this already? "The lane you need to be in is on the Right/Left" prompt would seem to be asking for a bunch of 'I am already in the right/left lane, why is Waze telling me to change lanes' URs.
Subs5 may have hit on a issue worth fast-tracking - Essentially, a Waze prompt asking 'Which road are you on'? On 12/30/15, 04:36 Subs5 wrote, in part: ".... There are more than 10 URs a day in DC area ... where the lanes are parallel and close ... Waze technology ... can't even do adjacent road segments." We see this in Texas a lot too.
When there are parallel segments longer than 1000M/.6 miles and less than 30m apart, I'd like to see Waze offer a pop-up box with buttons to allow the driver to select which road they are on - "1604W" or "Frontage Rd" choices, or "495N" or "HOV" choices - could prevent thousands of URs annually in the US alone.

Yes, this would be very useful in congested areas and where there are multiple lanes. It's an area where I do like what other navigation apps have.

This is an area where Waze is definitely behind the other nav apps out there.

Absolutely would like to see this. I routinely see this on other devices and know of older people who appreciate this feature. I also like the way these other devices show an emulation of the green highway sign showing the exit.
Questions arise about how early this popup should be viewable and when driving...

certainly would be useful, but almost would like an ability to do "continue straight" as a part of lane guidance.

I really hope this is approved, there are still important things like speed bumps, will someday

I strongly agree.
A point to maybe a bit further would be as well a visual display of the exit/lane signs as you have in other nav apps. Although I understand that requires as well quite some energy from the community. -

Yes. This is an area Waze is lagging behind the likes of TomTom and Garmin and one of the key features stopping people switching to use Waze.
