Lane Guidance
While using Waze on highways lately, I have begun to think that having the ability to see what lane becomes the off ramp would be great, especially in complex city interchanges.

Great news! The Lane Guidance feature is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

I agree this would help with not getting UR's on this issue. I have missed my exit in Miami because it was hard to tell what exit to get off on b/c the app was zoomed out.

I don't know about your countries but the high level editors in my country did a great job on the few highways we have and waze tells you exactly what to do: "keep left" "exit right"... sorry for the expression but: It's stupid proof :D

To us Latvian is not very complicated intersections, but in any case we a long time ago in ramps use pointers to where it leads. In client all very beautiful works.

People don't even listen to the directions to get into turn lane. Add this to having to add speed limits to all roads. Lane guidance can help in some instances like when leaving toll plaza and need to be left or right but will mean many roads have to be redone.
For the commenter that says he handles 10 URs about this hah. There are more than 10 URs a day in DC area about the Express Lanes (HOT- high occupancy toll) and where the lanes are parallel and close it does not differentiate between the two. So you get the exit was on wrong side. So how will the Waze technology differentiate between lanes when it can't event do adjacent road segments. -

I have an exemple in France too and I had to make something really dirty to make this "work"

I can show examples here in NY all over the place..... I handle at least 10urs a month.... This would help.....

due to inaccurate GPS i believe a verbal guidance like "exit left" or "exit right" might be the preffered solution. Although this problem doesnt exist in all countries. In the netherlands 99% of all highway exits are on the right and the road signs indicate how many lanes are exiting. i believe waze should help the user find its way, not take over to a point where drivers blindly follow the instructions.

There is a problem: civilian GPS is deliberately limited in accuracy. As it is, Waze must guess which of several parallel roads you might be on, based on the directions it has given you.
It assumes you followed the given directions. If you didn't, it doesn't know until you get about half a block away from the given route or turn in a direction that would be impossible if you were 'on course'.
Yes, it would be nice if each lane was mapped and Waze directed you accordingly, however it is not currently possible because of the limitations designed into civilian GPS. -

It will be very useful in my country too. we have a lot of complex interchanges here.

This would be great! A "Merge Left" and "Merge Right" might also help to prompt you into the correct turning lane. I have an old Sony GPS unit that had this verbal "merge" commands and miss them...

Google (your parent company) has this is Google Maps. Why not Waze?

Lane suggestions and a animation suggesting, which lanes are moving fast, will make a difference.

Yes !
Talk about keep left and keep right...
Need to consider the RAMP as same highway and show/talk the correct instructions !!! -

This is a great feature to have and arguably the single most important enhancement Waze should work on!

I would like to see Waze add the feature to alert you as to which lane to be in as yo approach turns. Has this ever been discussed?
