I was following a fellow Waze user. Neither of us knew the address but he knew the destination by habit. I had to ride his rear. I thought we could use an option to link and follow another user. I could follow behind a mile and still make all the right turns via my Waze and his.

I belong to a car club for Honda S2000 we like to drive our cars and will plan a monthly drives. Waze could be modified to allow tracking of a route by the route organizer during the planning of the route. He should be able to modify the route during the planning. the route should be able to be saved and shared with other Waze users in the group. This type of App modification would allow the driver to pay attention to the road and not have to deal with written instructions to stay on route. This would also be a way to get more Waze users and I would think an upgrade I would be willing to pay for.I also think there are a lot of car and motorcycle clubs that would love a feature like this to keep their driving groups together.

I'm a member of a Search and Rescue team. Currently members have Garmin, Tom-Tom's and other GPS' to assemble at predetermined rally points. As one of the communications officers I'd like to set a private group with all our rally points per-entered and recommend members with smart phones use Waze, this will be easier to maintain general group related rally points, and save our member money and time having to enter them on multiple vehicle GPS devices.

Even better, use facebook / google+ for this where I can select with which facebook group or google+ circle to share.

Often travel in convoy going to the butt and Ben with family.... Would be useful knowing seeing each of there locations on screen - without using Facebook

Please add feature to display your location on the map to as close to real time as possible for situations like driving with friends. It could be limited to only increasing the update frequency to people you are friends with on waze to save resources. You could also prompt to turn it on when navigating to the same place as friends and prompt to turn off again when reaching destination. This feature would integrate really well. Would make following and leading people a much more enjoyable experience.

Have the possiblility to follow a friend using waze and sharing the road with me (helpfull when you tavel with several cars to the same location)
Having the possibility to send pre-define basic massage. (Need gaz, Need a pause,...)

A group of friends are heading on a trip. We'll be visiting multiple locations during the trip. It would be great if everybody had all of the addresses already in their phone and could just select them when they were heading to the next location. (If everybody has the app, we can also see where they are!)

The Facebook button is now missing when I share my drive.

Wanted to propose the same feature. It maybe highly useful for helping someone to arrive to certain location by phone while tracking his location on the live map on waze web size.

Any way you can program the messages in my groups so that I can have a link?

There should be a toggle button to activate follow my drive. In other words, you shouldn't have to send your URL via text message or whatever in order to activate drive sharing. Yes, it's logical: there's no point in sharing a drive if you don't tell someone about it. But then again, there's a lot of times when something's gone screwy on my phone, while I'm sending someone the URL, and waze simply shuts off broadcasting. So the other person clicks the URL, and gets a "request cancelled" message. I should simply check a box or something, and have waze start sharing, and then be able to tell someone about it. But waze should not wait for me to complete a message send in order to start and keep sharing, hence, the toggle button or checkbox. And when I shut down waze, it should uncheck the box so I don't accidentally start sharing my drive to Motel 6 next time I start the app :)

Any combination of the back button should not shut off drive sharing. I've accidentally hit back on my phone at times while in the share drive menu, and it cancels my drive sharing... after I've sent everyone the URL. And you have to start the sharing process all over again. This is where a "start sharing my drive" checkbox would be nice. I simply check it, and waze shares regardless of what I do or don't do.

Yes! If the location data is already public, why isn't it possible to search for (and/or track) a Wazer if you know their waze username - no need to reveal any personal data, the waze userid is independent.

Allow for a group to share their realtime locations with the entire group and a give them a single drive share link for others to follow. We are looking for something that will allow us to locate and send people to where they are needed, in real time.

Create a "Follow Me" feature that sets your location as the destination for another waze user. If you want a fellow waze user to follow you, send them a "Follow Me" request. If they accept, their destination is set as your location and their route updates dynamically as your location changes. Way cool! - AP

I have friends with non waze or other gps application. They can easily share any specific location by email or sms. Google maps can pick up the reading easily too. I wish the same for waze that can send sms to non waze user and pick up location that sent by non waze by referring to lat and log coodination 

This is available in Waze version 3 as share my drive. Unfortunately this version is not expected for all clients so I would like to propose to allow it initiated via the web.

Can you create an URL where I can login to waze, type an e-mail address where to send the URL the other party can follow?
