I have been checking out the suggestions on here and it's comedic how waze keeps commenting that they aren't going to do suggestions people are upvoting as it's not on there 'roadmap'.
Like why even have a suggestions forum if you say no to everything that you wernt already planing.
Most the suggestions getting shut down are more people pointing out floors in your app and your showing no sign to fix the floors.
Im going back to google maps where the basic features preform the way they should.

Please add an option to get out of my car and give me walking directions - would really help traveling in Europe 💥❤️

Please could you add option for walking Navigation/directions

In particular for women, but also for more people, travelling alone can be quite scary or even dangerous. Many navigation apps have options of choosing the fastest or the shortest route. A similar option that would select the safest route would be wonderful. A safe route (for walking/biking) would for instance avoid empty places without buildings such as parks, and would instead lead you through busy streets or housing areas. I think many people would be happy to have such a function, especially at night.

Please incorporate a walking funtion. Sometimes when im on foot trying to find a place, its very hard to use.

I especially appreciate their function of downloading maps for offline navigation which works especially well when The President of the United States of America needs to getaway, if y’all know what I mean. I really would like Waze to update their map to compete with googles map. In the fact that your app is missing, walking, biking, bus-transportation and provide route options for avoiding traffic & providing shortest distances. Also possibly for young or esp female walkers, routes that avoid long roads with no business for threat or dangers of avoiding kidnap or harassment on a desolate back roads.

Have a feature to switch to a walking route after I've parked. Waze still thinks I'm driving and keeps re-routing me to drive to the destination. This is especially confusing in urban locations when Waze keeps trying to take me around the block instead of making use of one-way streets, alleys, or pedestrian-only options now that I'm walking.

Yes I see others on this topic, but I am not asking for complete navigation. I am using Waze while riding my bike (best dark streets are easier to see than with Google or Apple). It died the job I want without more coding. The problem is Waze automatically flags the side streets I have used as having “Slow Traffic” with a nine mph warning.
I assume that will drop off in time, but I feel bad generating erroneous info. To fix my problem, all it needs is a switch saying “I am riding a bike”. What that does behind the scenes is turn off that self generated slow traffic warning. Not so complicated as other suggestions.

I really think that an option should be added that allowed someone that used the gps on foot to select the « most secured road » instead of the fastest : choose the most frequented road, where cars ride by ; avoid the less frequented road, the dangerous roads were agressions are known to happen, … (you could even allow the victims of agression to signals the road they were attacked into to help you out). I think it would help people - and especially women - to feel safer. Maybe it could even save some lives.

I KNOW I used the waze walking icon in Spain 2 years ago. WHERE IS THE ICON NOW? I wanted to use it today when I didn't know how to get to where I needed to be and it no longer appears...I find all kinds of apps to plan a walk/route. I don't want to plan out a walk, I want to be able to put in a destination & get the walking step-by-step (no pun intended) directions just like I get for driving. Any help would be very much appreciated.
