Véhicule électrique
Pensez aux propriétaires de véhicule électrique
Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

It is already implemented. You can select electric car in Waze options. And the menu for electric charging point will be visible in search by categories.

Thanks for bringing this amazing app to the market, has been my road companion for 5+ years.
However feels like it is missing out on the electric EV car revolution.
Have recently switched to full EV (full electric) vehicle and find it impossible to plan drives, automatically selecting, calculating recharging stations based on car characteristics.
Also would love to see a switch replacing “gas-stations” being EV-charging stations (including the ability to select charger types, from slow AC to DC- superchargers – expressed in KWH)
Anyway, thanks for the amazing app and love to see EV being adopted soon -

I agree, as Waze is an industry leader up till now, with EVs exploding in use globally you will be displaced unless you wholestically embrace EVs
Currently in a Tesla, the NAV is google based and google owns you, Waze should have EV info in their maps/config as you embrace gas stations
Please do the following: add that we can tell the app and have configured that we are using an EV, hide all gasoline info, stations, Add Tesla, ChargePoint, etc charging along our routes
these would be very basic adds and then to the list that originally opened this post for hills to avoid/maybe, etc to help increase our range
If waze wants to stay relevant, then embrace EVs for they are taking over -

Waarom is er geen keuzemogelijkheid om elektrische auto’s toe te voegen en laadmogelijkheden op te vragen?

I love choosing my own car. I'd love to be able to choose the time machine in the shape of a DeLorean.
It would be great if the animation left sparks and firey tyre tracks as it approached 88kph (88mph wouldn't be safe in most countries). -

Sugiro que coloquem a opção veículo elétrico e adicionar os postos de carregamento caso seja possível

It's now been THREE YEARS whilst you "consider" adding EV charging stations. How much longer do you need?

I’m not sure why the electric vehicle type is not available in Europe (I live in France), but it would sure be nice for trip cost estimates

also, for those EVs with both a main screen and a smaller summary nav screen, like the Skoda Enyaq, it would be great to have Waze work with both screens, which it cannot do today.
Also, Waze lets you enter that you have an electric vehicle, but this seems to have no effect on anything and Electric is not a choice for preferred fuel type.
Although you can search for a charger on the map, they are not listed unless you search for them, there should be an EV map mode so all chargers are displayed that meet your criteria. Also, they do not currently show the charge rate, connectors or anything else useful at this time. -

I see there are a few requests already for EV vehicle types and chargers, I would like to see this improved vastly from where we are today with Waze. It would be amazing to have Waze fully integrated with Zap-Map in the UK and other appropriate sources around the world e.g. ChargeMap in mainland Europe etc...along with routing options (e.g. fastest, charge efficient, short charges, long charges, chargers with cafes, charge rates etc). If fully integrated with either the above mentioned source apps or actually directly with the suppliers then Waze could be truly incredible for EV drivers; including availability and such like to ensure you are not taken to a broken charger. Over the last couple of years, there has been a substantial increase in EVs on the road and chargers so it really is about time Waze got into this game.
The other addition that would be really helpful for EV drivers would be to enable integration with the EV onboard systems so that it can utilise the range of the vehicle to suggest the best charger and allow for pre-planning by adding weight/weather etc to the route planning.
thank you! -
