Slow down & move over warning for Emergeny Responders
Warn motorists of Emergency Responders (police cars, tow trucks, ambulances) with a Slow Down Move Over warning. Lives are being lost at alarming rates and any support of the move over laws are greatly appreciated.

The emergency button should include medical emergency so that other wazers (who are qualified medical practioners/ qualified first aiders) can stop and assist.
With the emergency button, users can either choose waiting for medical help, or driving to hospital.
If they chose driving to hospital, they will be suggested nearby hospitals. they can also activate emergency mode and other wazers nearby will be notified (emergency vehicle incoming, pls give way) that he is incoming and give way. This can be useful to those in need of medical attention and ambulances/fire trucks
Of course, there should be guidelines implemented on using this feature so that users don't exploit it. For example, while using this feature, the wazer have to turn on emergency signals and stick to the emergency lane/first lane unless it is ambulance/fire engine
If wazer is caught to have been violating guideline, via reports from multiple wazers, their account will be terminated and legal actions may be taken (according to country)

Already implemented for report crash or police. Maybe emergency services could be added.
1) emergency vehicles are fitted with LOUD sirens if you ear them you should be moving over
2) at any point on a map emergency vehicles will be present for 5min or less by the time the report is made would have passed
3)cannot predict reliably know the route of emergency vehicles.Suggested approach:
1) Get agreement from emergency services to publish their route on waze and alert users based on route.
2)Add emergency vehicle flag to the police flag.Agree a better solution is needed. But i don't think Waze can fix the issue.

Cut it out with the dang ads. I'll be finagling my map *while driving* because there's an ad for McDonald's 16 miles away. The app tells us specifically "NOT" to Waze and drive. I am trying not to, truly.
"You can always pay for the premium ad free ap!" Ya well, I could always switch back to Google maps too.

This should be an audible and visual warning to Move over and slow down for emergency responders! HAAS Alerts do not do that

Slow down move over alerts directly from Waze rather than purchasing a 3rd party device. Permit emergency vehicle icons for fire, ems, tow etc that can be active at all times

Slow Down and Move Over Alerts have been around since 2015.
They are available to all Towing/Roadside Assist/Mobile Mechanic organizations, Fire Departments, Police Departments, EMS departments, State DOTs, Construction, Workzone, Utility companies, and more.
The alerts are sent out on Waze on people's phones, as well as through their cars using Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Ford Sync 3. Additionally, drivers can automatically receive these alerts in 2018 and newer models of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles (as native as a seatbelt alert). The alerts also show up on many of the 511 services that State agencies subscribe to (as Waze powers all of that and Waze is owned by Google).
YOU have had the ability to alert drivers with Slow Down Move Over alerts for nearly 7 years. Over 1 BILLION driver alerts have processed, and 10s of millions more are processed every month.
To learn how you can keep yourselves safer, and reduce the risk of collision or struck-by by up to 90%.. you need to reach out to HAAS Alert. www.haasalert.com

This is already being done and has been done since 2015, by the leader in Slow Down and Move Alerts for Towing and Roadside companies- HAAS Alert
Towers and Roadside companies can easily have this ability- just reach out to HAAS Alert.

I always wondered why radar detectors didn't have some system with ambulance, police and fire vehicles broadcasting some special radar signal that would alert motorist ahead of them when they had their lights and/or sirens engaged. Could help warn people to move over and look out for emergency vehicles.

Add an emergency vehicle icon , Such as the Hazard, Police, Crash Icons. Have the voice tell people to evacuate the lane and to slow down. Allow Emergency Responders and also Tow Trucks the ability to add to it map quickly. Help us get home safely, one step at a time. Could be your family we are assisting. I'll be glad to have you ride along if you need some reference materials!

How about alerting Wazers when an emergency response vehicle is driving down the road behind them? This would alert drivers to pull over to the side of the road and make way for the emergency vehicles. You could just enable official emergency responders to enter their destination into waze and then when they get within a short distance behind wazers, have it alert the wazers to pull over and maybe reroute drivers away from the emergency response location?
