Multiple vehicles
A quick way to toggle settings between two or more vehicles. When I drive my truck I use the expressways, I use alerts only, and diesel is preferred. When I ride my motorcycle I don't use expressways, I turn on navigation since my phone stays in my pocket, and premium gas is preferred. A way to save particular settings when toggling between private and motorcycle would be appreciated.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.
Thanks!

plz could you add two “Go now” buttons when a route is set — one with a car icon and one with a motorbike icon?
For users like me who switch vehicles several times a day, this would make it much easier and faster than going into the settings each time.
Thanks a lot!

### Feature request: Quick Vehicle Switch (Car ↔ Motorcycle)
**Problem**
I frequently use Waze both by car and by motorcycle on the same day. Currently, changing the vehicle type requires going deep into the app settings. A typical flow for me:
1. I open Waze.
2. I quickly set a destination and start navigation.
3. Only then I notice. the route preview or ETA looks wrong for my actual vehicle.
4. I realize Waze is still set to “Car” (or “Motorcycle”) from the previous trip.
5. I have to stop, go into **Settings → Vehicle type**, change it, and restart navigation.This has a few negative impacts:
* I often **forget** to change the vehicle type before setting the destination.
* I sometimes get **invalid or sub-optimal routes**, especially for motorcycle use.
* The flow is **slow and distracting**, particularly when I’m in a hurry.**Proposed solution**
Add a **Quick Vehicle Switch** feature, allowing users to change between saved vehicle types (e.g. Car, Motorcycle) directly from the main navigation UI.
#### 1. Quick toggle in the main map / navigation screen
* A small button near the current location icon or speedometer, showing the **current vehicle icon** (car or motorcycle).
* Tapping this button opens a small menu with my saved vehicle types:* 🚗 Car
* 🏍 Motorcycle
* (Optionally) others, if Waze supports them in the future.
* One tap changes the active vehicle and automatically **recalculates the route**.#### 2. “Favorite vehicles” configuration
In Settings → Vehicle type (or a new “Vehicles” section):
* Let users **select which vehicle types** they want to appear in the quick switch.
* Example:* [x] Car
* [x] Motorcycle
* [ ] Taxi
* [ ] Other
* This keeps the quick menu simple and relevant for each user.#### 3. Optional “Ask me if unclear” behavior
To reduce errors, Waze could optionally:
* Show a **small prompt** when I open the app after several hours or at a new time of day:
* “Are you using: 🚗 Car or 🏍 Motorcycle?”
* Or use a **smart suggestion**:* “You usually drive your motorcycle at this time. Switch to Motorcycle?”
* This could be turned on/off in settings so it doesn’t annoy people who don’t switch often.**Benefits**
* **Faster and safer**: No need to dive into settings while on the move.
* **More accurate routes and ETAs**: Fewer mistakes where Waze is using the wrong vehicle profile.
* **Better experience for multi-mode users**: People who frequently switch between car and motorcycle (or other vehicles) feel that Waze fits their real-life usage better.**Nice-to-have extensions**
If Waze wants to go further in the future:
* Allow tying **frequent places** (e.g. Work, Home) to a **default vehicle** suggestion (e.g. “Home → Work usually by motorcycle”).
* Add a **shortcuts tile** (Android) or **widget** (iOS) that starts Waze directly in car or motorcycle mode. -

When I use this app with android auto, there is no option to see the map on the mobile screen (Only navigation text is available on the mobile screen) even if I am using a different map app (Like Google Map) on the car screen.
There should be an option in this app where we can decide that the navigation map should be on the phone screen or Car display. Reason to request this feature is - In some cars the car screen is at very low level near the Gear Box and people who wish to see the navigation map on mobile screen on the phone screen, struggle because of this issue.
When I used Google Map on my phone and set Waze and default Map app on Android Auto, I could see the Google Map navigation on my Phone but when I flip these and tried to use Waze on my mobile phone and Google Map on Car Screen, even then the Waze was only showing the navigation text on mobile screen and not the map view. If needed I can help waze team with a detailed video on this issue to understand this problem. -

I would love a feature that easily allowed me to switch between motorcycle mode and car mode without going into the settings. I would really like this feature for planning out my motorcycle ride while also being able to switch back to my car for easily when I need. I know this kind of already exists however, I want more. Perhaps a different UI for motorcycle mode that prioritizes things riders would rather have. Additionally the ability to save rides in a playlist or share them with communities.

It would be great to be able to create different profiles for my different types of vehicles.
For example I have a car with highway sticker, and so I want the waze to plan routes for me.
But I also have a motorcycle, which doesn't have a sticker, prefers other types of routes, perhaps uses gas and my car uses diesel, etc... So if there was an option to have profiles for different types of vehicles - all with different map settings, navigation, sticker, picture etc... it would mean the world to us, who love the app AND own a car and a bike. Or two cars. Or three... Or two cars and two motorcycles... you get the idea... ;) -

Yes, I would very much like this function.
Waze can see when I'm connected to Android Auto, it would be great of in the settings there's 2 options for vehicle details;
1: Default
2: Android AutoSo i can set my bike to default, and the car to AA.
Then when I put Navigation on it will automatically select the right vehicle based on of im connected or not with a AA unit. -

I think it's a good suggestion that each vehicle has its own navigation settings. I don't know if this is something anyone has requested, but as an example, on a motorcycle, I avoid highways, tolls, etc. And when I use the car, I change the vehicle profile, and it keeps and calculates routes avoiding tolls, highways, etc.

Pls integrate vehicle type switching into interface.
Having to go thru setting is a hassle for people who often switch vehicles between private and motorcycle. -

Exactly same here. I have electric car, gasoline car, gasoline motorcycle. All with different vignettes (different paid highways)

Right now they are more concerned about the price of potatoes rather than making better features. Since Google is behind Waze the incentive to keep improving the app is gone. The shadow competition sucks

Profiles is what most (or every?) satnav is missing! I have been looking for an app offering the possibility to create vehicle / speed profiles. Because we frequently tow a caravan, and therefore cannot make use of the allowable speed, the calculated arrival time is always off. The same is true for trucks and other slower vehicles. Thus, the profile editor should allow for an individual max speed, based on which (where lower than allowable) the time is calculated correctly. Of course it should also be possible to freely name and rename the profiles.

I have a car where I look for the fastest way to arrive and a motorcycle where I want to avoid highways and look for beautiful roads.
Can I have two vehicles in one account to profile my roads!? -
Lóránt Németh commented
While I think this is implicitly covered in the original request, I'd like to make it explicit: for me the most important would be to be quickly be able to switch between profiles, have as many as I want with some distinct icon to know which is active and to be able to have different highway pass settings (available passes, avoid toll roads...) for each profile. Being able to automatically switch based on Bluetooth device presence would be a nice touch (car/helmet headset, Bt beacon...)

It would be useful to be able to choose between different "profiles" by changing the type of vehicle. I for example move both by motorcycle and car, in motorcycle I can access the ztl - area c of Milan while in car I can't, in car I do the highways in motorcycle I try to avoid them, the type of driving changes depending on the vehicle and having to go each time in settings and change the ZTL permits and preferences (in addition to the roads suggested by Waze) is cumbersome, it would be nice if it was possible to select multiple vehicles or rather multiple profiles with different permits and vehicles and when starting the app it would make you choose which profile to use and thus automatically set the route
