Thank you so much for all of your input on how to navigate from a different start point. It really helped me. I almost wanted to stop using the app. Thanks again but Waze really needs to fix this and make it easier. PRONTO!

To make my own starting point in the map or to add adrress from the place that I would like to start and to check the time for my final destination.

I found a fairly easy way to do it:
1) Select your destination.
2) Tap the "Later" button instead of the "GO" button. After all, since you're not at your starting point now, it will necessarily be later that you start from there.
3) At the top of the "Drive later" screen, you can select your choice for "From" as the starting point.

1/ From list of Favourites, first slide the one you want to the right
2/ Gives 2 additional options, either 'delete' or 'info'
3/ Tap the 'info' icon, which will bring up more details on the favourite location
4/ Click the three dots that now show at the top of the description on the right (just below the map portion)
5/ One of the options that then shows is to 'Set as start point'!

I agree that difficult to use alternate starting point than current location. I have no idea why they made it harder on the new version. This is so critical to me that I may not be able to use waze anymore.

When I want to check directions and how long it will take me to get somewhere, I want to be able to do that from anywhere. So for example I have a dinner to go to at night and I'm sitting at work, I want to be able to check directions from my home to the dinner venue. I'm not able to do that because waze only allows you to check directions etc from your current location.

this is so basic. it is possible, but very difficult to do. i have not found a way to do it with favorites. only if you search an address and then click the three dots from the search results and say "set as starting point." then you can search the final destination.

So if I wanted to know the directions between 2 different locations when entering my destination. So it should give me the option to Either get directions from my location or a completely different location.

Users should have the option to enter a specific starting address or location rather than only being able to start from a current location. Would like to enter both To and From locations.

Some times I need to know how many time can take drive from point A to point B, but i'm in another site.

This suggestion is for a general waze client improvement. Google map allows you to enter a starting location (not necessarily where you are currently at) and your destination location. Currently wazw app ALWAYS uses your current location and asks for your intended destination. To make the waze client app more competitive with Google Map, this change should be made for the next release of waze app update to allow the user to choose their starting location; not to ALWAYS use your current location as the starting location.
