Planned drives not from current location should be easier to ge to

I am used to Google maps and want to try waze, I will send you suggestions when I need a feature waze doesn't have

Today :make plan with starting point from somewhere else .

Now, waze only has itinerary from my actual position to go somewhere else. But can't calculate itinerary from somewhere else back to where I am actually.

ADD AN OPTION TO CHANGE YOUR START POINT

WAZE needs quick update to solve prob. of starting from another location or users will find another help source.

My attempts to set a different “start point” than my present location only works if I enter an address that I haven’t previously used WAZE to navigate to. If I try to use a Favorite, it won’t display the 3 dots that are needed to be able to select that location as a “start point”. This needs to be fixed.

After route is planned, I can search for new location and add it as a stop to current route.
I suggest to add another option "Set starting point", so I can change my route.

Waze does not allow the entry of a different starting point. In order to do that, you must go to Google Maps or another provider.

You need to add a via point and rest stops to your pop up menu on google maps.

Not seeing the 3 dots on my waze screen, so I cannot even begin to set another starting location. I agree with other users, waze is not worth all the extra wasted time.

How about a trip planner - to be able to enter a "from - to" when located at a different place

Since its impossible to set a different starting point, Please suggest a different app, This is absurd, I am a pretty good techie and have fixed thousands of things, but setting a different starting point is impossible, I cant even try to figure out what the route is like from work to home, if i am at home,, So please just recommend a better app when I need a different starting point since its obvious waze doesnt have that as an option

Does anyone know how to do this for iPhone? Posts infuriatingly preference the menu button and there isn't one.

Setting a start point other than current location is unnecessarily difficult. So difficult many people don't realize it is a feature in the app... Make it more available. It's that easy.

Earlier versions of Waze were better at this, as well as every other map service in the game. Please..

I agree! Here's my suggestion before I found this one which is the same.

When moving house or changing companies, I've often wondered how the traffic would affect me from/to the new location and have wanted to take this into consideration. However as far as I know Waze's real-time data is only accessible in terms of current location.

What I'd like to have is a function to, at 8h00 this morning, "simulate" me leaving from the new apartment's address to the new job address, despite being kilometres away from the new apartment's address. That way I'll be able to plug into real-time data for that day and time, and be able to take into account traffic from the new address (especially considering if you move you often don't know the area and its traffic jam pitfalls yet).
