"Both lanes" reporting option
Add a "both lanes" option when reporting traffic jams, hazards, and accidents affecting both directions of travel at the same time.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Something I've thought about, especially while I've been stopped by a train, is how any report I can currently make will only affect my direction of travel. It's not useful for people coming the opposite direction.
I'm not sure how to exactly implement it, but it would obviously only be at railroad intersections. When the train is reported, it creates a standstill report for both directions of travel. This would go away after a certain period of time, or when normal travel is detected to be resumed.

That’s a really smart suggestion — having a “both lanes reporting option” in Waze would make traffic updates far more accurate, especially in areas where congestion affects both sides of the road. It could help drivers plan alternate routes faster and reduce confusion when multiple users report similar issues. It’s surprising this feature hasn’t been added yet, considering how detailed Waze has become with hazards and closures. I was reading about San Diego Limo Service https://www.limoserviceinsandiego.com/san-diego-ca/ recently, and it reminded me how accurate navigation and route data can completely change the driving experience. Do you think Waze should also allow users to tag which specific lanes are affected, like left-turn or right-exit lanes, for even more precision?

Great suggestion! A 'both lanes' option would make reporting more efficient. While waiting for traffic updates, why not check out https://gatesofolympusslot.cc/ for an exciting gaming experience? It’s a great way to unwind during traffic!

This seems like such an obvious addition, why is it not planned??
With the ability to already report “other lane”, why not have the ability to report a cop in the center median that is affecting both lanes of traffic!
The way it works now, when a cop is in the median monitoring both sides of the freeway, only the side of traffic where the report was made gets the warning. This makes no sense in this scenario. On the freeway (which is where most people use Waze the most) this feature seems obvious and is desperately needed.

You can report police on the other lane, but not anything else, I always found that odd.

Possibility to report that my vehicle is actually in the opposite lane. Many times, at the beginning of the navigation, the vehicle is identified as standing in the opposite lane, rather than in the correct lane. Only later, after a short drive, is the navigation updated. Quite annoying that it is impossible to update even before driving, that I am actually in the opposite lane. If there was such a possibility, there was no need to wait later, after the start of the trip, and while slowing down the traffic around me, until the correct route was updated

I believe you should be able to report police as monitoring both directions of traffic instead of having to make two reports one for your side and one for the other direction. It takes a couple of seconds to make the police report, and the time required to make two reports often leaves you down the road away from the location. Not to mention the fact that that requires more time touching your phone which distracts from your driving.

We do not need anymore options. Simplify the ones that already exists. It takes too long and it is a danger to other drivers to be fiddling with you phone trying to send a report.

When notifying of a cop or vehicle on side of road say which side and same for objects on road say which lane to know exactly where.

It would be useful to be able to report something happening in the opposite way of mine while driving, directly from the car display like it can be done from the smartphone app.
In fact, currently only what happens in one's direction of travel can be reported by CarPlay or Android Auto -

When posting a hazardous vehicle on shoulder, can we put which shoulder (left or right) the vehicle is on. Bc some accidents or vehicles are stopped on left side in small medians near a curve and it would be great and preventative to know which side of the shoulder the car or accidents are on so we can be prepared or able to safely merge lanes if possible.
