"Both lanes" reporting option
Add a "both lanes" option when reporting traffic jams, hazards, and accidents affecting both directions of travel at the same time.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

I’m constantly see that drivers, so do I, add comment to car accident, they point which lanes are busy by cars.
Maybe you can add the native way to point in which lane accident?
It will be much easier to point in this case. -

This is a great idea - Especially on single carriage way roads where something on one side (roadworks for example) will affect both carriageways and directions of travel. Less so on dual carriageways etc but for town roads and single carriageways this is a great idea.

Hi. Do you guys take suggestions? How about more useful alerts...example...instead of ‘watch out, car on shoulder’, it would be much more useful to hear ‘car on left (or right) shoulder ahead’. We will assume the ‘watch out’ part. We need to know which side, especially with the ‘move over’ law in Florida!
Thank you! -

Agreed or where the car is stopped. Options needed: Left shoulder, right shoulder, left lane, middle lane, right lane.

Hi, just wanted o suggest if you could add where who reports an accident on the road, could also say if it's in the left, center or right lane, so we could start moving to the lanes that are moving faster.
Also once a police was in that location, is there any way we could report that is no longer there? Same for a car on the side of the road?
Thank you for your consideration. Regards,Victor J Alvarado

I think there really needs to be some more specific lane data, at least about hazards and accidents. I have passed a whole large and thick tire in the middle of the road, which was hidden because of other cars ahead. If I hadn't pulled on the adjacent lane just a few seconds earlier by chance, I would have gotten come very serious damage to the underside of my car. Several times, gigantic potholes have almost ripped my tire off.
Lane specificity is a must to prevent incidents like this.
Also, flood gauge or depth reports would help, by lane if possible. 1 inch of flooding is nothing and could provide a safe route to escape an even more devastated area, although a large visible timestamp is essential too for this because conditions change rapidly during a flood. Reporting 5 feet of flooding that looks like less could save many lives. Hurricane Harvey and flooding earlier in Houston made that very clear.

Yes, wouldn't it be easy to make it "vehicle stopped on left shoulder ahead" or "vehicle stopped on right shoulder ahead"? Likewise if there is an accident, where on the road is it? At least on American freeways, there are shoulders on both sides of the road. Similarly, if a lane is blocked, which lane?

can you add a function for when there is a crash you can say which lane, cause that would be the bees knees

I like this feature, but what makes it better is to include left or right, give the option to advise whether it’s left or right shoulder with the vehicle stopped. Thx!

@Anonymous - Not at all surprising since Waze is owned by Google, and they're notorious for ignoring big issues for years. When they bought Waze, I knew it was going to go downhill, and so far, it seems I was right.

I would like to be able to change lanes ahead of time when a car is on the side of the road, but that is impossible because you do not know which side the car is on.

The "object on road" has helped me steer clear of a large metal shelf, a massive tire, and a bouncing metal camp chair all in the middle of high volume interstate areas. However, when the notification comes on you do not know what lane to get in to avoid the problem. I would like an enhanced alert.

Option to report all speedcams for bioth directions ... Today I passed a static but movable speedcam (new type in Belgium, checks both directions). IN one direction I got warning from Waze, other direction NOT !!!! I would like a n option "notice speedcams and police control allways in BOTH directions. Better to have a warning to much than having a speed ticket"

Need a way to let users know what Lane an accident is in. Currently as I approach an accident you see all the traffic slow down but you don't know which lane to avoid. It would be nice to know if you should work your way to the left to the right excetera

Add a location (such as lane # or some other identifier) to road hazards. On a multi-lane highway "object on the road ahead" does not offer specific enough information to avoid the hazard.

Greetings! My idea would be to create a way to report down limbs, wires, or other road hazards that are caused through accidents, natural disasters or tractor treads. Additionally, if it were possible to select what lane it is in or selection of lanes, it might help wazers to more easily avoid such hazards and plan their route more in advance. Hope you like it :D

I'm sorry please forgive me I have just realized that I am new to this and this is already been posted as an idea so let it be posted again LOL sorry about that folks

I figured that it would be a good idea when it shows that there is traffic due to an accident ahead if it could show which lane the accident

I agree but would like waze to include reporting of this. I would like to see ability to report merging to help traffic behind the merge point move more steadily.
