Time zone adjustment
Waze should adjust ETA to the local time when destination is a different time zone. When you leave Phoenix for southwest CO, for example, the ETA should be in mountain time, not AZ time. Currently, the ETA only adjusts when your phone automatically adjusts as you cross the time zone. It would be nice to know drive time is 6 hours, but ETA is 7 hours due to time change.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.
Thanks!

This is fundamental. Who ever thought putting it in the wrong time at destination was the default way to go?!?! Make it configurable.

Admin - your response is 18 months old. Has there been any movement on this?

How about adding this to 2024?

Decided in February that this couldn’t fit into “plans” for 2023? This isn’t a 10+ month project, you could roll this out in the next update in 2 weeks. Your developers are capable. Spend less time turning cars into Fraggles & more time making sure that the ETAs you provide for cross-time zone trips are accurate. This isn’t a sparkly new feature we’re asking for, it’s a bug that needs to be fixed yesterday.

For me, the ability to see my eta in local time is very important. Otherwise, the app is fantastic.

At least add a line that says arrival time at destination is +\- hours.

Really surprised this is something that has not been implemented. Seems to be an easy fix to something that a lot of users are requesting
It would definitely resolve a lot of confusion when traveling between multiple time zones. -

It should be similar to airplane flights where the time destination is always shown in the time zone that you’re arriving at.
Perfect! It should be like this! It's confusing and not accurate to have it like it is now.
Please change because you arrive at a different hour if you change the time zone. Thank you!! -

😭😭😭 Don’t be late (thinks I’m showing up half hour early) - half hour late. Fml.

This is a critical improvement. I am amazed that it has not been addressed to date.

Amazed that this is still an outstanding issue - seems so basic and I concur with just about every other comment I've read here. Since 1883 North American railroads got together and were able to provide accurate arrival at destination times in their timetables. 140 years later and we're still waiting for Waze to be able to offer drivers this basic functionality.

We travel a lot across time zones and it would be a great boon to have this. I love Waze but we've learned that it's just not worth it to use when we are planning a trip cross different time zones. :(

This has always been a thorn in my side. I agree 100% that the arrival time should be the time at your arrival location! Not the time zone you are currently in. Let me see... Waze says I'll be there at 1pm but, I'm actually crossing 2 time zones so in reality, I'll be there at 11am. Waze should do the math!

It is confusing and very difficult when going over time zones to know if the arrival time is in the current time zone. Waze could solve this by showing the starting time zone, and the time zone of the destination you’re arriving at. It should be similar to airplane flights where the time destination is always shown in the time zone that you’re arriving at.

You should show the destination time in the destination time zone. We will have to switch to Apple Maps since this has happened to us before. I am not sure if Google is not allowing Waze to update, but it is ridiculous you cannot change this for 2023!

Please consider adding. I just realized the time change wasn't considered. Almost drove to a funeral arriving 2 hours early unintentionally. This would increase clarity and confidence in arrive time. 🙏🏾

Updating the ETA would be much appreciated!! I’d rather use Waze other than Apple Maps. Apple does update the ETS

You mean you are working on adding 4 lines of code???

This is the only reason I can't use Waze

Just happened to me. While driving from CST to EDT we wondered if the arrival time took this into account. Another passenger opened Google maps and put in the same destination and IT DID add the hour. So going forward I will be using Google maps when driving across time zones.
