"choke buster" mode aka (lambs to the slaughter) (also "no right on red" avoidance)
Problem: I see a lot of wazers all jump off the freeway or arterial route only to get stuck on the same surface streets.
I see this happen:
The scenario is heavy traffic on a major thoroughfare.
Several cars all take the same obscure turn off the main road (Geary) onto the tricky alternate route (eg. Steiner) only to end up fourth or tenth at a four way stop, effectively defeating the "short cut" and suddenly ETA upticks minute by minute. Aargh! : )So. I'd suggest Waze should monitor in real time as the "pulse" of traffic either flows…

Replace pop ups with static pane
The pop-up banners showing the next turn make it almost impossible to use any other CarPlay controls such as Music etc. as the Waze banners take the focus. This means that I am unable to change my music while stopped at lights. Popups should still be used for alerts or high-priority info but next turn / lane info should be on a static pane.

Way to speak closures in using the microphone
Maybe in order to stop users from having to accurately enter in closures, for some people maybe having the option to say cue words such as "road ahead" or "next right turn" or "turn on Main St" as a way to close roads, might get rid of the need to accurately put in a turn using the touch screen for some users. The option to enter closures by finger can still be an option too.

Prolonged route
Sometimes kids fall asleep in the car and parents would prefer prolonging the drive for some extra zzz's
It would be a cool to have a feature so waze adds some extra miles to your trip - maybe even taking into consideration roads with fewer stop signs and red lights.Thanks,

Expand "arrival boundaries"
If you're at or within 100 feet/30 meters of a destination, consider navigation complete and stop routing. Many times Waze will remain active, showing I am 100 feet or less from a destination, and will frantically re-route (or at least attempt to). In my experience from Waze, this is most common in shopping centers or business campuses/parks, though it happens sometimes at single building destinations, such as a standalone restaurant or even at my home. Waze shouldn't feel a need to provide door-to-door directions.

Keep Navigation Active After Arrival
I would like to suggest a feature that allows users to keep navigation active even after reaching the destination. In many situations, especially when it is difficult to find parking, drivers need to circle the surrounding area. When Waze automatically ends navigation upon arrival, it becomes harder to maintain orientation and understand nearby traffic conditions. Allowing navigation to remain active until the user chooses to stop it would provide better spatial awareness, improve safety, and offer a more flexible experience in real-world scenarios.

Navigation option
Suggest adding an option to navigation setting that would prefer taking longer distances to avoid stop and go traffic patches on route. As an example, I commute daily from Deira - Dubai to Ajman. At 5PM, waze often suggests a route with a shorter distance but ends up taking longer to reach the destination. I ignore and chose a different route and end up reaching sooner albeit having travelled an extra 20KM. Highway cruising has less stress on the driver and the vehicle

Search for a gas station or other POI in the given area, ideally while already driving and having active navigation
When you drive to a distant location I can't find an easy option to look for a gas station in the specific area. It shows gas stations only on the main road, frequently I need to look for gas stations which are outside of the main highway but in close vicinity.
Currently I'm stopping in the middle of the road, canceling navigation and then looking for gas stations nearby. I'm looking for a feature which would allow to plan this while on the move.1 vote -

Improved Time to Leave Notifications
Time to Leave Notifications should consider where you would be at the time of leaving, if there is another place on the calendar before. Countless times, I am driving to my location, and while I am still driving I get the notification that I need x amount of time to get to my location. When I stop driving, I won't get the notification based on where I actually am, since it already gave me the erroneous notification when I was driving. I think this should be a specific option added to the settings menu for navigation.

HOV lanes: Specifically on Long Island Expressway.
This is about the HOV lane on the Long Island Expressway in NY.
During off peak hours, Waze ALWAYS directs you into the HOV lane.
1) The HOV is one lane as opposed to 3 or 4 lanes on the main road. During off peak it's not usually faster.
2)The main problem with this, is when Waze "thinks" you're in the HOV, all notifications for Police, emergency vehicles, etc. stop unless someone in the HOV lane makes the report.That even goes for when the Police are hiding on the left shoulder on the left of the HOV.

Waze isn’t the same
Ever since like last year Waze was always amazing but recently after the last few updates the navigation has turned out to be as bad as Google Maps! Takes me down unnecessary roads, slow to tell me the next direction, takes longer to recalculate, has trouble finding my destination before I start driving...it’s just a mess. If Waze didn’t have all the alert features, I’d stop using the app 🙄 I really hope they fix all the issues. I love Waze but these issues are causing stress and wasted gas and time

Update sharing feature
The sharing option does not work for friends using the links. It always comes up with "Something went wrong" if they try and use it.
When trying to add a stop, the circle just keep spinning, even when switching Data to use from another SIM, it would still not work
Setting your home address is not easy, in fact, to try and change it is impossible currently or not easy to change/edit
Pressing the Gas station button just works in circles. Suggesting a list is pre-prepared on the route taken in case of connection loss.

Your algorithm that reports duplicate reports is wrong. It assumes that the LAST located report is the real thing and prior nearby reports are duplicates. This is incorrect. You should assume that reports are NOT duplicates at all. Let me give an exact case. On the highway n12/n3 intersection on the corner of woodmead (suburb) in Johannesburg RSA, starting at -26.047675193550557, 28.093193441959258 and ending at -26.03960699164605, 28.067755371505946, on the date 31 Nov 2021 at around 4pm, there were THREE stopped vehicles at the roadside. Your system recorded them as THREE REPORTS at the LAST location, rather than three separate reports.…

Speed up Waze start or restart
I'm an Uber driver and use Waze all the time, however there are these confirmation screens (1) at a new route start that should be optional but are not. There is no point in showing the complete route everytime I start a new ride. It is enough having the button to show the whole map whenever I need to check the route. Also, whenever I restart Waze (2) he asks me if I want to
'continue' the previous route. Why asking this? Just resume the route and if I don't want it to resume I use the existing STOP button…1 vote -
Highway exits details
On my current MB the navi is showing list of next 3 exits on the highway with all the most needed details, for example next exit is 3 km away and its exit to city/another road, another exit is 8 km away , which is a petrol station with restaurant , 3rd exit is 19 km away and it’s just a parking with toilet. … in case I am low on fuel or somebody from crew need urgent *** rest , really easy to find out where to stop , once the closest exit is passed, it loads another one…

How To Improve Feedback From Users
Everytime I give feedback I give what I think they need to know (based on previous feedback), but not a single time has the person working the issue not asked a question back (most of the questions I have already answered, so they are using a cut and paste). This has stopped me from doing any route or map feedback except in the most extreme circumstances. If you made a form to fill out rather than just a text box, it would help both the poster and the volunteers working these issues.
