Fade music on alerts/notifications/Turn-by-Turn
It would be really nice if Waze faded music during audio events (not pause.. pause is a little bit jerky and makes you lose the music beat)
I use my phone (Android) as a Media Center on my car, it controls the audio and video on it. I play music using it (outstanding equalizer settings and audio effects), and the fade function is really necessary so I don't keep distracting looking for corners on GPS.
Also, on my own opinion, fading looks real classy and professional.Original Google Maps' software does that fading, but I don't want to go back using it. Waze is amazing!

How about annoucing police or traffic jams by voice instead of pop ups.
Announcing in the voice warning police in area or traffic ahead in x miles.

Use a system similar to Evernote to access Calendar information. If Location exists and it is shown in the Address Book, ask to nav there.
Use the calendar to chose next location to navigate to semi automatically.

Allow more granular control over notifications
I'd love to be able to adjust my notifications a bit more specifically than I can currently. For example, I want to turn off chit-chat notifications, and I'd love to have both an audio and visual notification for red light/speeding cameras, police, and severe traffic.

User selected audio announcements
It'd be nice to be able to select what audio announcements are made. For example, not getting "candy" audio announcements, or http://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-client-how-can-we-improve-waze-on-your-phone-/suggestions/2359957-privacy-zone-stop-reporting-near-home-work-?ref=title

Add north south west east direction when reporting from iPhone
Add preset when reporting anything to waze via iPhone to show which direction drivers will see the report. Accident. Police etc. This also should show in the text description of the report. Same lane or other can help and this may show on the map. But it's hard to tell exactly what lane it's in. Ie, car stopped on shoulder may look on map like it's northbound lane when it's really south. Add direction of travel preset similar to same lane button.

Better iPad interface.
The iPad interface is a bit cumbersome to use while driving. I find many of the buttons are too small. I have my iPad docked in a RAM mount next to the stick shift, so its right next to my shift hand.
Different screens appear in different sizes (like the event selection screen is cut in half when reporting a hazard or similar).
Also, display of speed and similar information in the lower right should be larger, much like the turn-by-turn directions in the lower left.
I would also appreciate any prompt buttons to be larger. If the buttons could be twice the size, that would be great. I find the road/shoulder/weather buttons are the perfect size to tap with one hand while driving, and keeping your eyes on the road. The iPad interface is a bit cumbersome to use while driving. Require e-mail address or include username for Help & Feedback submitted reports
When someone submits a report via Help & Feedback, it should be required for the user to have a registered e-mail address. If an e-mail address is not registered, they should be required to agree to the disclaimer to display their username.

Outlines for “area” place types (App/Livemap)
Currently, polygons representing “area” place types in the app and in Livemap are rendered in an overly simplified way, using a uniform fill with no visible outlines. This design choice reduces visual clarity when distinguishing between adjacent areas. In cases where one area is located inside another, the label of the inner area appears to “float” over the outer one, with no clear indication of its limits.
However, there are legitimate scenarios in which representing buildings or facilities as areas within a larger, usually enclosed area is both correct and necessary — especially in complex urban environments such as universities, airports, administrative centers, and similar locations.
It is also worth noting that this limitation does not apply to green areas (nor to police areas, which are rendered in red on Livemap), which can coexist within regular areas without causing the same visual conflicts.
Given this, I propose that Waze restore the display of subtle visual outlines for “area” place types. This simple change would improve map readability and better align the use of area places with real-world mapping needs.

Add more stops would be nice
There is no option to add multiple stops, it would be really nice to have this feature on my navigation. In this way, I won't need to switch to other maps app

change speed bump to traffic calming device
There are many different devices used to slow vehicles other than speed bumps. Other examples include chicanes, roundabouts, splitter islands, entrance treatment, speed pillows, speed humps and intersection humps. I'm sure there are others too.
The speed bump permanent hazard would fit all of these other types of methods used to slow vehicles down but if we add a speed bump where there technically isn't a speed bump we confuse the wazer and likely will generate unnecessary URs.
If we changed the name from speed bump to 'traffic calming device' (my suggestion), we easily fit all these slow-down methods and alert with a simple and clear message to the wazer that speed control measures are in effect ahead.
Instead of creating a unique permanent hazard for each of these devices, I instead suggest we broaden the definition the one we already have and change it's name accordingly.
I'm currently working with the city of Sandy Springs, Ga and they employ all of the devices I've mentioned here but I am hesitant to add "speed bump" PH to their chicanes and other devices which are specifically not speed bumps.

Add vehicle’s height
Hi
I think that adding a feature to your waze account where you can choose your car height would help you by driving in adjusted roads and driving eventually in a more accurated path10 votes -
Delete the Stop point and continue navigating to final destination
Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove the intermediate point on the route after adding it.
This feature is very much needed.

Add support for Eircodes (Ireland's Postal Code system)
Irish Eircode support is required in Waze. Unlilke a lot of postcode systems, Irish Eircodes are unique codes that match to an exact building/address. https://www.eircode.ie/benefits/overview
I am constantly getting issues reported by users of the below:
Search for an address by its house number, you get correctly routed to the correct road as we have added house numbers.
Search for the eircode, Waze pulls the coordinates from Google and routes to the nearest segment, so many times, this is the incorrect road, a lot of the time it routes users to roads behind the address beause I assume it's technically closer to the coordinates Google provided for the eircode.
We need someway, as editors, to be able to link eircodes to segments, similar to house numbers so that Waze can know to route to the same segment the house number is linked to.
For further clarification, there seems to be confusion around Irish Eircodes. Let me lay out how important they are. If I need to give someone my address, I give them my Eircode, not my address. The Eircode will bring them right to my address. So when people are using Eircodes and they are routing to incorrect roads, and different roads to the address, it's a major issue for the reliability of Waze. How can you trust Waze to bring you to the correct location if it depends on knowing that Eircodes could bring you to the wrong place.
