fewer touches to get navigation started
it seems to take a lot of clicks (er, touches) to get navigation started.
1) Enter (or speak) address
2) Choose from list of addresses (even if there's only one address)
3) Touch GO
4) Touch GO (again, can be skipped)tough to do if the car is already in motion. Or so I hear. I would never be mucking with my phone or tablet while in motion.

Enhance the "Prevent Auto-Lock" setting
Enhance the "Prevent Auto-Lock" setting, so that you can have one setting for when it is plugged in and charging and another setting when not charging.
This will allow for the option to let the phone to go into standby, if the phone is left on after turning the car off.

Semaphore optimization of speed, driving time and fuel economy.
To drive faster and keep fuel try to know the semaphore timing.
In this case can advise drive slower or faster (if possible) to drive non-stop in the semaphore green corridor, when possible.8 votes -
Avoid stop signs! Sometimes is faster the paraller road, because it has a few stops signs!!
I know that waze finds the fastest route, but sometime that street has a lot of Stop signs, and the parallel street doesnt have any, so is faster!! Maybe for a future you could add the stop signs to the maps!! For you to take note: In Costa Rica there isn't 4 stop ways or 3 stop way, in an intersection, here there is always a road who has the way, and the other has the stop sign. Srry for my english, isnt my native language!!

user provided layout themes
There are various requests for features of what Waze should/should not display on screen. It would be great if users could instead of just choosing a style, actually choose a (or create) a layout that another user has selected.
Best option would be to provide the ablity to give shapes, and areas that can contain text. Eg.
- Current speed (can then increase/decrease the speed display)
- Average wazer speed on the current segment (so the potential speed limits could be shown)
- Current road name
- Text/images for popups
- Destination ETA
- Destination time
- Destination name
- Destination distance
The more that is available, the more people can add there own display requests in.No need for a GUI, XML or some form of coding would be suitable.

Ask user on which street he is if GPS accuracy insufficient to determinate it automatically
Sometimes in the beginning of driving or if you driving differently from Wase suggestion Waze can lock on wrong street, if it is two close streets inside GPS accuracy region. I think it will be good if Wase will ask on which street you are exactly if it detects that GPS accuracy is insufficient to determinate it automatically.

mapless mode
how about a screen that just displays the speed and any nearby alerts (range user selectable) for when we're just driving and don't need the GPS? This could cut down on data (and battery) usage by not fetching maps, but still let us provide data back to the system.

Hide notification bar in Android
Hiding the Notification bar would give a little more screen real estate, but the big deal here is that newer phones have AMOLED screens which can suffer from burn-in, and the notification bar in Android with the screen turned way up while navigating for hours is surely going to cause this. Can we PLEASE hide the notification bar so it doesn't damage our screens? Nexus One, Desire, Incredible, likely others will all be possibly impacted by this.
8 votesthis will not solve the issue with these screens, as waze has its own bar (right below the notifications bar) which will not be removed. So we need to think of a better solution that will prevent the burn-in, but hiding the notifications bar will not help.

Flock camera NOT police
Please stop treating Flock Safety license-plate reader cameras like police/enforcement cameras.
Flock cameras are automated license-plate readers, not police officers running radar and not necessarily speed or red-light enforcement cameras. When Waze alerts drivers to every Flock camera as though it is an enforcement/police camera, the warnings become excessive and make the useful alerts less meaningful.
Please either remove Flock/ALPR cameras from enforcement alerts or create a separate ALPR category that users can turn off independently.
And YES — give me police ahead. Give me speed trap. Give me red-light camera. I do not need Waze yelling at me every ¼ mile because Georgia bought another Flock camera. 😂

Confirm arrival
Confirm arrival before ending navigation
I would like Waze to confirm whether the driver has actually arrived before automatically ending navigation when they pass the destination.
Sometimes you may drive past the address because you are still looking for a place to stop, park, or simply locate the exact entrance. In these situations, Waze may consider you arrived even though you are still trying to reach the destination.
A simple prompt such as “Have you arrived, or are you still looking for your destination?” could allow the driver to keep navigation active if needed.
This would also improve safety, since the driver would not need to interact with their phone and enter the destination again while driving. The goal is not to provide a parking-finder feature, but to make sure navigation does not end before the driver has actually reached their destination.Confirm arrival before ending navigation

Flock opt out of hearing about them.
If you have a Flock icon then Please! Have an opt out button so I don't have to to constantly hear about the cameras. They are everywhere!

Average Speed Check
Subject / Title:
Clearer visual indicator for Average Speed Check zones (progress bar & average speed)
Description:
Hi Waze Team,
I would like to suggest a UX/UI improvement regarding the Average Speed Check zones (Average Speed Cameras).
Currently, Waze mostly relies on audio alerts for these zones, which can be easily missed. It would be extremely helpful to have a clear, prominent visual element on the screen so that a driver can tell at a glance (in a fraction of a second) that they are currently inside a speed check zone.
I propose adding a dedicated visual widget or bar that includes:
A progress slider/bar: A visual timeline showing our exact position within the zone and how much distance is left until the exit camera.
Current average speed: A dynamic display of the vehicle's average speed since entering the zone, helping the driver stay compliant with the limit.
A distinct, easily scannable graphical element (e.g., a colored bar or card) would significantly improve driving comfort and safety.
Thank you for your continuous work on improving Waze!

Wizualny suwak/pasek postępu (ile drogi do końca nam pozostało).
Średnią prędkość z odcinka (dynamicznie wyliczaną, aby kierowca wiedział, czy jedzie przepisowo).Subject / Title:

Convoy
Convoy Feature
A set of features to allow a group of travellers to monitor/follow each other via the Waze App. Many holiday makers, but also clubs & professional organisations often need to travel together, and need to be able to track & monitor that the "convoy" members remain together, and is up to date on the latest location, destination, as & when things may change or issues may arise.
Up to 6 Wazers can enable "participation" (location sharing) with a "Leader" that would invite them to join a "convoy".
Each Wazer can then see/monitor the other vehicles & leader, and be sure to follow the same path/direction as the leader.
Within the MAP View the 5 other Wazers would be visible as small icons on the map( depending on zoom)
Each wazer would see the path/route to the "Leader" as default (top of the list), but could select any member of the "convoy" if needed (perhaps they are lost or have an issue) which would then display a path/route to that wazer.I could see this being used by casual users, clubs & prefessional organisations.
Cheers.Convoy Feature

Shadow the Hedgehog
I see you recently introduced Sonic as a Navigator and he's already super fun and gives me the happiest time while driving. I was wondering in the spirit of rivals, could we get a shadow version too to go along with it. Keanu Reeves, David Humphrey, Jason Griffith, or Kirk Thorton!

auto reroute
Hi Ella and colleagues, I have a waze suggestion. Please ask the Waze engineer to please add an option in the Settings of the App for the end-user: please let me explain first. Waze no longer is asking for re-routing permission - Waze now just dynamically (automatically) re-routes now in the middle of navigating. And I understand why, this is because to minimize distraction. Please ask the Waze developer-engineer to please add an option inside the SETTINGS of the APP to allow the end-user to either: ALLOW automatic (dynamic) re-routing or ALERT user prior to dynamic (automatic) re-routing or to NEVER re-route the end-user during active nav. Many end-users feel they do not want to be auto-rerouted, and on the other hand many end-users do want to be dynamically (auto) rerouted during active nav, and some other end-users want to be ASKED (or alerted first)when a better route is found BEFORE dynamically being re-routed. PLEASE, forward this message to the waze engineer to add a SETTING for this in the SETTINGS of the APP and you will make all 3 types of end-users HAPPY just with this SETTING for RE-ROUTING: ALLOW AUTO REROUTE, ALERT FIRST, or NONE.Please forward this message to the engineer to add this SETTING in the Settings of the App. I am VERY grateful to you, Roman.
