  1. Would be handy to add hazards and notes on an area you've seen that day not current location

For instance driving from A47 to Brundall in Norfolk, along Postwick Lane there is a tree 1ft into the road. I knocked my wingmirror off there and so have others as people have passed oncoming vehicles. I saw many glass wingmirrors.

I've accidentally put this onto Theobald road Norwich.. could this be moved please to opposite Brundall Marina. I'd like to be able to warn others of this without having to be sat there in my car. Can you add hazards to alternative locations please that would be useful.

  2. Need to distinguish between HOV and Express/HOT/Toll lanes

Maybe this is California specific, but we have both HOV lanes, which require 2+ passengers but have no toll required, and then we have Express Lanes, which are toll lanes that you can drive in regardless of number of passengers, but do require a toll (paid for via a transponder - Fastrak in CA).

I drive by myself so I cannot use the HOV lanes, but I do have a Fastrak transponder so I can use the Express lanes. But if I tell Waze that I have Fastrak, it automatically also routes me on the…

  3. PLEASE add ability to mark lanes!

Please add ability to mark which lanes are affected by reports especially crashes, stopped vehicles, debris/hazards and closures! Being able to quickly and easily navigate away from a problem would be a HUGE benefit over all other navigation apps!😊

  4. Incomplete heads up display info On Lincoln Nautilus 2024

Thanks for the new update 5.4 which allows Waze to be displayed on the built in heads up /instrument cluster.
However the direction box in the top right corner only gives the distance and not the street names or correct lane for the next turning. Because of this will need to look at the main infotainment thus rendering the heads up/ built in display information incomplete and confusing. Please add the complete information on the heads up display so that it is usable.

  5. Ensure that re-routing doesn't add time to trip

I have had multiple times where I have chosen to take an alternate, parallel road rather than the one Waze wants me to go (such as I-295 in NJ versus NJ Turnpike, or I-95 Express Lane vs. I-95 in Maryland). In these instances, rather than direct me to the next interchange to continue on the planned route from an upcoming access point, it wanted me to double back and reverse course to the original access point, which would've added 20 minutes to my trip, when just continuing on the alternate route would have only changed ETA by 0-1 minute.

  6. make alerts omnidirectional

Alert users to incidents on both sides of the road when there is no divider on the road. On two lane highways voice alerts for police and accidents are directional. Meaning it only alerts you to reports that were made in the direction you are traveling. It should alert you to all reports on the road regardless of which direction you’re heading. Helpful for police and accidents when they could affect both lanes.

  7. Replace pop ups with static pane

The pop-up banners showing the next turn make it almost impossible to use any other CarPlay controls such as Music etc. as the Waze banners take the focus. This means that I am unable to change my music while stopped at lights. Popups should still be used for alerts or high-priority info but next turn / lane info should be on a static pane.

  8. Separate lanes in the middle

You should separate the road lanes in the middle to be easy for the users to see which side of the road has traffic

  9. Conditional use of toll roads if saves more than set percentage of time

I live in Northern Virginia (US) where we have a growing network of high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes paralleling existing roads. These come up as separate roads in Waze as they have their own on ramps and off ramps. Just to make them more fun, they have variable tolling so when traffic is more congested on the "free" lanes the toll lanes cost goes higher. The speed limit is also higher on the toll lanes so they always come out as preferred over the regular lanes for navigation.

The current Waze app allows selection to…

  10. multiple ideas

    • when navigating, esp. for Uber, Waze takes me to alleys for the destination address, not to the actual street
    • why doesn't Waze show one way street direction with arrows on map?
    • is there a way to stop directing me to turn left onto/cross a busy street with no stop signs or lights?
    • can the step by step directions show the destination address as well as the checkered flag?
    • show ahead of time which lane to be in for all off-ramps on highways

  11. iPhone Vs Android. Detailed Directions on iPhone, missing on Andoid.

When plugged in via USB an iPhone shows the map on car display and detailed instructions on the iPhone display. Android phone shows map on car display but a blue screen on the phone display, why? Show directions on Android instead of a stupid blue screen! This app is superior on iPhone for that reason. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Blows my mind this feature is not in Android. I want to know 4-5 streets in advanced where I'm going and the turns I need to make so I can get into the proper lane ahead of time.

  12. A way for Waze to distinguish between travel in express lanes or regular lanes on I-90 (Kennedy Expressway) and similar Chicago area roads.

I would like to see a way for Waze to distinguish between travel in express lanes or regular lanes on I-90 (Kennedy Expressway) and similar Chicago area roads. These are not HOV or toll lanes. Waze will often route me to the express lanes, but the line to enter the lanes negates any benefit, so I bypass and take the regular lanes. Waze, however, thinks I'm in the express lanes, causing navigation errors and headaches. Otherwise, I'm very happy with Waze. Thanks.

  13. Add a wireless OBD2 sensor for additional vehicle safety information

Suggest adding a wireless Bluetooth OBD2 device (BlueDriver or OBDLink MX+) so Waze can access safety features from your vehicle such as:
    1. Blind spot warning
    2. Accidental lane departure
    3. Show when turn signals are on - for those that forget - optional beep after 5 seconds and before my wife says “YOUR BLINKERS ON!!!”
    4. Etc.

Option - For lane departure and blind spot warning above - when the two are triggered the Waze display or the hud display below could kick in the appropriate mirror camera video (if the vehicle has mirror cameras) so you see the…

  15. How do I stop Waze from suggesting a route everyday that I Do Not want to take.

Waze tells me to take this back road everyone I leave my house and I want it to stop!
    How can I change this?
It may be 'techinically' the fastest route, but what it doesn't know is that it is a very scary, windy, hilly, one lane back road that people barrel down and I don't ever want to take it.
I thought Waze was smart and would recognize my 'usual' routes, but it has not figured out that I don't like this road.
    Ever.
    Any suggestions?

  16. Remote control

As Spotify giving you the option to play a song on a phone from a different phone I want Waze to do that as well.
Example: I have an iPhone 8 sitting in my armrest on the snap-in and connected to carplay. On a second iPhone I am connected with the same account and I want to write the address on my second phone to not get the iphone out of the snap-in and so on. Don’t have a touchscreen headunit.
Also, when will Waze gives you the lane assist in BMW cluster while connected to carplay?

  17. 200 meter alert

Waze is great, but the turn announcements aren't as good as my 2006 Garmin Nuvi. They tend to be at 5 minutes, 1 mile, and right now! Several times, I have let my guard down and been in the wrong lane and unable to turn at the "turn right" cue immediately before an exit. A time/speed/distance based "turn coming" reminder at about 200 meters would be very helpful.

  18. he Washington State Department of Transportation now provides real-time toll rates for the I-405 express toll lanes as a publicly available

The Washington State Department of Transportation now provides real-time toll rates for the I-405 express toll lanes as a publicly available live data stream for software developers. The API is publicly available here: http://wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/api/ , along with several other live data streams including traffic flow, travel times, and highway cameras.

We would love to see this data integrated into the Waze app to help drivers make more informed choices about their route options.

The I-405 express toll lanes let drivers choose a more reliable trip by paying a toll on weekdays from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Toll…

Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze calculates and displays toll prices in many parts of the world. To know when this becomes available in your country, stay tuned on Waze’s social pages on Facebook and Instagram

  19. Option to avoid country lanes in UK.

They are annoying to me and rarely Eta gets amended when I avoid them.

An option to avoid them would make me actually use Waze again.

  20. Adapting waze to silent mode (features needed)

I prefer to use waze in silent mode,
but what is missing in that state is the warning on time.

    1. i need that when i give a snap look at the app it will tell me that the turn is close.
currently i cant understand in a snap look at the app what the scale of the lane. am i few km away from a turn or just 800 meters.
you can achieve that by changing the blue line lane when you get closer to the junction. maybe add on it small lines that marks the turn. change its…
