Alert for BMW drivers
Dear Waze Development Team,
I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to propose a feature enhancement that could potentially improve the user experience and safety measures within your esteemed navigation application.
As an avid user of Waze, I have noticed an opportunity for a unique feature that could contribute to the overall safety and awareness of all drivers on the road. I am suggesting the addition of a feature that provides alerts to users when they are approaching or are in close proximity to a BMW vehicle.
The motivation behind this…

Feature Improvement
I have used the Share Drive feature on Waze multiple times. It is a good feature. In my opinion the feature would be improved if it maintained a trip for at least 30 minutes after the traveler stopped. I believe that Waze currently drops the trip after the traveler stops their vehicle. The user has to reset the feature when they resume their trip.

Report markers should be marked when the user presses the report button, not the send button.
Whenever I drive on windy freeways, or freeways with frequent blind spots, I don't see reportable items (police, vehicles on shoulder, etc) until the moment I pass them. Given the typical delay of entering the data into Waze, the markers end up being 500 to 1000 plus feet away from the actual item being reported.

change speed bump to traffic calming device
There are many different devices used to slow vehicles other than speed bumps. Other examples include chicanes, roundabouts, splitter islands, entrance treatment, speed pillows, speed humps and intersection humps. I'm sure there are others too.
The speed bump permanent hazard would fit all of these other types of methods used to slow vehicles down but if we add a speed bump where there technically isn't a speed bump we confuse the wazer and likely will generate unnecessary URs.
If we changed the name from speed bump to 'traffic calming device' (my suggestion), we easily fit all these slow-down…

Suggestion for Integrating Radar Helicopter Information into Waze
Hi,
I would like to suggest a new feature for the Waze app, considering a recent legislative change in Romania. According to the new law, vehicle speed can now be measured from helicopters, and drivers can receive fines or have their licenses suspended as a result.
It would be extremely useful if Waze could integrate information about radar helicopters into the app, using the API from Flightradar24. This way, drivers could be notified in real-time about the presence of radar helicopters, enhancing road safety and helping to avoid unexpected fines.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!

Lowering the font on the interstate highway markers
The font on the highway markers are a bit large and I would like to see them lowered a bit. They are a bit too much and such.

Use my device's GPS accuracy to determine route stickyness
I often find myself "stuck" to parallel roads because Waze routed me that way and I "must" be following the route--even though my GPS places me over 20m (65ft) away!
When I go to Taco Bell on my way to work, it's so I can go through the drive thru, NOT so I can roll past the front door as Waze would have me do. But the 15m (50ft) out of the parking lot is "close enough" to assume that I'm following the route.
This also happens when I'm trying to train Waze to take a longer route out of…1 vote -

Live Web Feed Of Incidents For Selected Areas
Working with the Florida Highway Patrol, our Computer Aided Dispatch program feeds all traffic incidents, road blockage, etc to our website for public view. I'm sure other agencies have features like this as well. I think being able to take this data and feed it into Waze would make a huge difference. Who monitors a website while on a road trip?
I also think having a way for staff in a Traffic Management Center or Emergency Communication Center to be able to monitor a feed of incidents in their specific area could be an extremely valuable tool in helping to…

Adding Social Distancing reminder notification
During this pandemic, I think it would be a really good move for Waze to add some sort of notification reminding users of the social distance recommendations such as wearing a mask, standing 6ft apart, and washing hands. I imagine this would look similar to the notification that pops up when the app is being used while the vehicle is in motion, reminding the driver about safe driving, except this notification should pop up right after the driver presses go. As Waze is used by many, I think this is a great way to take action and do your part…

I have both waze and google maps on my iPhone
I prefer waze as it is gets 99.9% if addresses perfect, and it’s just the best app ,
Google maps works on my large screen aftermarket car audio system via a connection cord to my iPhone , but waze doesn’t work can you make it so that it works !!! That would make your app wicked...2 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Security camera voice alert irrespective of type of camera ahead
The app should notify irrespective of being within the limit because the speed reflecting on the app is 3km lesser than the real at all the given times.
Also, the app doesn't even make a distinctive alert sound when there's a camera ahead.I request you to please integrate the verbal notification for a security camera irrespective of the type of camera installed and irrespective of whether the vehicle is under the speed limit coz at a lot of times due to many reasons like conversing while driving, thinking, managing kids etc. and it skips out of the mind.

A category for a smaller road, that cars can't through in. Indonesia has a lot bikes here LOL
I hope you guys can add a new category for a smaller road that only can suit by bike. Here in Indonesia there are lots roads that only can through by bike. Several times i must take another road, because i ride a car rite. And it would be great before take a navigation, user must entry what kind of vehicle that they use,so that waze can suggest road that suit for their vehicles.
Thank you for your attention guys, i love this app!1 voteThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Capitalize on the Great American solar eclipse 2024
I'm not sure if you all are already thinking about this, but I think it would be really smart to capitalize on the upcoming Great American solar eclipse on April 8th. I've noticed that Waze is good about navigating large crowds of vehicles through the available road systems when a lot of people are running the app, so I think it would be great to market and advertise to folks that they should be using the app in order to alleviate the traffic and smooth everything out. I know I will be running the app, especially on my way…

Aviation theme
An aviation theme would be awesome! Having the ability to set your vehicle to different aircraft like general aviation, a private jet, commercial jet, or even a fighter jet!
Voice lines could be similar to air traffic control conversations. Being a normal mode of transportation, there are TONS of references available for voice, like arrival, departure, parking, fuel, etc. Crashes on route could be "delayed flights" :) 🛫

API for GPS tracking systems to push to your app that a road work vehicle, ambulance , text Car etc is on the road and cause a safety issue.
With our company www.fleets-online.com we supply Road contractors with our Infra GPS solutions and when they work on the public road an alert can be send with our platform to your platform to inform the users on the road for the safety risk on the road ahead.

Near Vicinity Target Versus Specific Address
I don't want to assume, but I have to believe machine learning at Waze is either a thing now or will be soon. To that end a feature I've been imagining for some time might be more easily achieved in the current technological state.
Idea: Since we typically do not drive our vehicles right into the mailbox of a given destination and knowing that, other than homes or small shops, a large percentage, perhaps a vast majority of destinations are large properties with big parking lots. If there was an "I'm here" or "I've Arrived" button, that GPS info…

Improve the way that traffic reporting works in cities
Avid Urban waze users like myself often find that our traffic reports will only cover a tiny segment of road, often only 100 or 200 ft. It seems this behavior has something to do with the way that the roads are segmented. There have been many times that I will be in traffic on an urban road in Chicago, report the traffic to help the community, and see that my report barely extends in front of and behind the icon of my vehicle. I'll either spam traffic reports every couple hundred feet while I'm in traffic to cover more…

Display unique symbols for hazards reported on the road
At the moment, you have to click on the Hazard symbol to actually know what the hazard is. And as people alway report vehicles stopped on the hard shoulder as being a hazard, its hard to know what action to take when driving unless you know what the hazard ahead is. It is also dangerous to have to click on the small hazard symbol whilst driving. So why not have different symbols for different hazards? These symbols would be displayed on the map, preventing the need to have to click on the hazard symbol in order to know what…
