unsafe streets
It would be very helpful to know if you are entering to a dangerous area meaning like a ghetto or some place where is dangerous to be driving at certain time or know that you can get assaulted by knowing this you can change route to a safer one.
Sometimes you get into streets that are very dangerous for saving some minutes on your route.
Being able to report dangerous areas would be great and safer for driving.
I know a lot of people talking about this on the city as an issue of waze.

Add resturants to maps... Just like you have gas locations now
It would be great to see resturants along the route.

Alert while not in navigation
It would be great that Waze can alert you even if you are not enter the route so if you just launch the app and start driving.
You won’t enter destination and selecting route if you’re driving to work every day but you still can get the ticket for speeding..3 votes -

When I have put in places I like to go to like Starbucks I would like to see the Starbucks that are close by on my route as I drive.

Removing a road from the route
When you put in a destination, Waze only shows three options. Pick one and then you can see the details on the navigation list. There are times that you simply don’t want to get on a specific road for whatever reason, so it would be great to be able to swipe and delete a particular road in the list, and have Waze redirect accordingly. Another app I use has this feature and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used it. Would be nice to have Waze do the same.

Add a more customizable feature for creating personal routes
Personally, there are a few places on my commute to work that I would like to avoid, however, a singular stop is not enough to have a complete route.
Therefore, I want to request that Waze adds either the ability to draw a custom route, by connecting pinpoints, or allow for more “stop” features, as well as a save to custom route feature so that you do not have to do it every time.

Sugiro uma melhoria ao aplicativo: poderia ser possível visualizar o tempo das últimas viagens (histórico) em relação ao estimado pelo aplicativo (origem, destino, percurso utilizado, tempo gasto, tempo previsto) para que o usuário possa avaliar o seu tempo real de percurso

I suggest an improvement for the app: it would be possible to check the real time of the routes done compared to the estimated time from the app (origin, target, route used, time done, time predicted) for the user evaluate the real time of the route.

Make Bluetooth connection the same as a Google Maps (not a phone call) and no ads covering of the route in progress

It’s just hard To use Waze when (ads) they cover the route it makes it difficult to visually see.
And then the way Waze’s Bluetooth connection works Diles my phone number instead of just connecting to the car itself.
I understand you’re a separate thing than Google maps but being google product I thought maybe you would share that technology.

Close the Segment user is currently on
In Rural areas the users may encounter a situation where the road may be closed due to a problem like a downed tree or other issues. In order for Waze to re-route it needs to know that the road is closed and there is no way to report a closure of the current segment that they are on. App only allows reporting of the closure from the nearest intersection in the direction of travel, which will fail to re-route.

Turn on the lights alert.
In Brazil, even during the day it's mandatory to turn on the car lights when we drive in a route (highway).
It would be very helpful there was an alert reminding us to do it each time we start driving on a highway.

Most of us know anywhere from 10-90% of our route. It would be nice to be able to have a "start from this area" option.

Improved Automatic Re-Routing for Traffic Congestion in Waze
We would like to propose an enhancement to Waze's automatic re-routing feature to provide users with greater control and flexibility when navigating around traffic congestion.
Currently, Waze offers basic re-routing, but it lacks the ability to:
Prioritize surface streets or alternate highways/freeways: This would be particularly valuable for users who prefer avoiding congested highways altogether, even if it means a slightly longer route.
Define granular re-routing preferences: A binary on/off toggle is limiting. We propose options similar to existing route preferences (fastest/shortest) that allow users to:

Show route turns on landscape and portrait mode
The upcoming turn-by-turn directions would populate in landscape mode not too long ago. Now, it only shows a zoomed out version of the map. Why would anyone not want directions like they do in portrait mode? This was an awful update which caused me to nearly have three accidents in my vehicle without CarPlay. I have had to resort to Apple Maps and google maps because Waze appears to care more about voices and cool features instead of functionality!

Apple CarPlay show upcoming notifications
It would be very helpful if you could see the upcoming notifications on your route in the Apple CarPlay mode (like you can in the app when pressing the bar at the bottom). Now I use the app besides the CarPlay mode where the notifications on the route are shown, but these don’t update while you are driving and thus don’t solve the issue

Route icon moved from the top to the right in Apple CarPlay. Please move back icon back to the top to reduce driving focus.
Waze app was recently updated in July 2023 (~ver 4.96.1) and Route icon moved from the top to the right in Apple CarPlay. Please move back icon back to the top. My Acura uses a round dial to navigate Apple CarPlay and is not a touch screen. Previously it was a simple rotate to the right while drive to find alternate driving routes, but now it takes several clicks causing a major distraction to driving focus.

Change "Avoid Highways" to "Avoid Freeways"
The current "Avoid Highways" preference in the client is essentially useless because it includes even "Minor Highways" which is poorly defined. The category includes even very small country roads that happen to be designated State highways - hardly in the same category as freeways and therefore not useful as a routing distinction.
On the other hand, "Avoid Highways" is a very useful option for users who would like to use the Waze route optimization features, but without the stress and other factors that come with Freeway driving.

Why not have feedback link in app.
1stWhy not have feedback link on app. If present make easier to find. Had to google
2nd selected fastest route on first trip Romania to Bulgaria and the suggested route has a ferry. The ferry may travel as little as twice a day we found out on way. This is hopeless need bold alert on any such requirement cost us three hrs backtracking3 votes
