Changing lanes
As a qualified driving instructor I very much like your app. However, when instructing to change lanes, your instructions often come too late often leaving the pupil straddling lanes or prevented from changing lanes. Advance warning is needed.

Allow swipe to close notifications.
When a notification appears on the Waze client, there's an "X" on the top-right corner to close it. The close button also has an auto-timer, which is fine.
However, while driving it is hard to tap the exact location of the "X" and often i tap on another nearby portion of the screen, which only causes the display to change. And waiting for the timer is not always practical (i only need 3-5 seconds to read a notification, not up to 15 seconds!).
So instead (or additionally)... why not have the notifications close by simply swiping them off the screen?…

Display should change from bright to dark mode while driving through an tunnel
The waze app should change from bright to dark mode while driving through an tunnel.
Waze maps should know if the actual position is in an tunnel (calculated by the route as the is no position in tunnels) and when driving in an tunnel the display should change. After leaving the tunnel the screen should change back to bright mode, if bright miy was active before the tunnel and it bright mode should not be activated at this time (in regards the the configuration to change to dark mode automatically).

Apple CarPlay show upcoming notifications
It would be very helpful if you could see the upcoming notifications on your route in the Apple CarPlay mode (like you can in the app when pressing the bar at the bottom). Now I use the app besides the CarPlay mode where the notifications on the route are shown, but these don’t update while you are driving and thus don’t solve the issue

Update to run on background on Sync 3
The iPhone and Samsung devices recently released will show signs of burns when a picture is on for a long period of time. In this case since the screen has to be on in order for the car to run app its very bad for phone screen and can also make device get really hot and may start fire inside vehicle . I drive for hours at a time and i have noticed the heating problem. Please update app to run in the background with screen off.

Hello, I want to use Waze with Android Auto with all map on screen, there is a way to take out the left window with destination?
I have 8 inch screen but the left half part of this is hidden by destination window. Unnecessry on the driving, already know where I want to go.

Configure highway Navigation way point alerts
Often times when driving in the highway waze does not provide a way point alert until we are very close to the waypoint. On the highway having some more advance notice (.25, .5, or 1m?) on these waypoint alerts would be really helpful in terms if safe driving.

App stays on "searching networks" even after reception resumes
We need a "Refresh connection" button when searching networks is happening.
I was driving on a mountain road where reception was poor so waze would lose connection often, but even after I got to the next town with full bars it would say in red "searching networks" and wouldnt connect. I restart the app to establish connection.

Improove road position
Driving on a parallel road (aprox 15m) to the plan route and Waze doesn't recoginse that i am on another road (no reposotioning) and navigation keeps saying instructions according the original plan and doesn't help in the real posotion.

Bring back events/sweets
I’ve been using waze from the start, creating roads etc but one thing I don’t see anymore since returning to waze is the sweet collection events. Always helped pass the time while driving about all day and getting a boost to your score. I liked unlocking milestones too and they need a refresh. Can this be done?

Please fix it soon as possible this distract me when i drive
Connected to apple carplay ,,,, when i have a massage location in whatsapp open it in waze, is ((stuck)) in search page i can’t do anything unless disconnect my phone from apple CarPlaY ,, i can’t complete the process and show the route unless I disconnect ,, that problem disturb me when i driving

Put in ability for users to opt out of political notifications
Give the ability to opt out of emails and other notifications that are not related to using the waze app for driving. I don't want to receive political types of notifications such as the "celebrate pride with waze" email.

intersection gas prices
gas prices on intersections are usually the same. please give users option to update entire intersection rather than one by one which no one has time for while driving

Don't send nasty letters to users if they drive from CO > FL
Received a nasty letter, one day after I returned home. Driving from Colorado to Florida and back.
WAZE also does not work for more than 1000 miles, I think that should be rectified1 voteThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Variable speed for different vehicle classes
The speed limit for diffent commercial vehicles is different.
Small vans, lorries, trailers etc.My proposal is to be able to choose your vehicle class so the speed limit warning and display is accurate to the vehicle you are driving.

Instead of during phone call mute yes/no, offer more options: no muting, mute notifications, shortened directions, audible signal, mute all
Instead of during phone call mute yes/no, offer more options:
* no muting
* mute notifications (but offer normal driving directions)
* shorten directions (no TTS, no and then...)
* audible signal only (ring light bell when maneuver is upcoming and stronger bell when maneuver must be made)
* mute allThis will allow the driver to choose to get some form of navigation during phone calls, but which is still less intrusive to the phone call than usual.

I want to give waze the routes I want to use for my commute by drawing them on a map & have it show me those route not the ones it selects?
I want to give waze the routes I want to use for my commute by drawing them on a map & have it show me those route not the ones it selects? Either draw it not the route map or enter a list of routes under my commute routes. Learning does not seem to be accurate or quick. I have done my route for 14 years I know the options it would be easy to draw a main route and set option segments. This would make the tool much more appealing quickly and more useful with less interaction while driving.…

When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”
When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”, because many drivers prefer a longer but a more pleasant drive to a shorter but full of stops and traffic jams one. Driving faster is part of the pleasure of driving.
Especially in very busy areas, this option would be more than welcomed.
Driving is a pleasure per se, but not if you just stay in line, stuck in traffic jams.4 votes
