  1. Routing server timeouts - retry in the background

    Sometimes everyone of us experiences routing server timeouts with an Oops/OK prompt. Then one needs to reclick the destination while driving, which is disturbing. Perhaps the client could have an option to retry a couple of times in the background, and then notify if all retries failed?

  2. Evacuation zones

    I know these currently exist via Champs/Coordinators, this is a suggestion on how these work.

    We in NC have had a big issue with DOT not knowing every closed road and considered almost half the state as closed. NC leadership worked with champs and coordinators to get an evacuation zone set up. However, we noticed that routing through this zone was still enabled. Based on this here is 2 suggestions we came up with.

  3. Stop navigation once you're "close enough" to the destination

    Waze should have an option where it stops trying to re-route once you're close to the destination, especially when it is not possible to actually drive to the exact entry point for whatever reason.

    Context:

    I've got someone who has brought up routing issues to their destination a few times, and at least two or three local editors have made various changes. They now again have been saying that once they arrive, Waze wants them to exit the parking lot again, and make a huge detour just to return again to where they are already located.

  4. Alert sounds

    Please can you add the ability to enable Wazers to select alert sounds. The speed limit alert sound is so short and quiet it is almost impossible to hear even at full volume. The ringing bell for roadworks is so loud and clear but doesn’t really need to be! I would love to be able to select the sound for each alert notification. Thanks!

  5. CarPlay Instrument Cluster Support

    Apple CarPlay has started to support instrument clusters (Display behind the steering wheel), however so far it only supports Apple Maps. Developers have said this is available for apps like Waze to utilize, but you guys would have to update it to support that. I was hoping you guys could push this update as it would be very convenient and helpful. Currently using CarPlay on a Land Rover with the latest Pivi system. Thank you!

  6. Please allow vehicle selection for large vehicles

    Please allow configuration of routes that are suitable for large vehicles and campers. We have a toy hauler that is 40ft long so with our dually and trailer we’re over 50ft long and very tall like at least 12ft tall. We use Waze for all our navigation. For our recent trip Waze has taken us in very tight spots such as low lines and very narrow roads. It’s been awful for our vacation trip. Please fix

  8. Import Plugshare / Openchargemap database for EV charging stations?

    Can Waze import Plugshare / Openchargemap database for EV charging stations?
    It should be more efficient to import it, than build/manage it from scratch.

  9. Floating map like google maps

    It would be so much easier for work. I am currently working as a driver. Waze has way better routes than Google maps but the downside is that I have to close the navigation if I want to check my work app. Unfortunately because of this inconvenience I'm forced to use Google maps.

  11. Add hazard warning: Poor visibility due to wildfire smoke.

    Add hazard warning: Poor visibility Smoke.

    Had two incidents in the past week where there was poor visibility die to smoke. One led to a multi vehicle accident. The other was on a winding mountain pass.

  12. Possible crash detect, crash guardian and SOS button

    IT'S possible detect a crash using sensors of telefone and open a big menu (1. False Alarm Thanks; 2. Yes, but all ok no action needed; 3. Yes, I need support imediately, coubt down 60s for send alert and location for numbers and wazers nearbay...) send repot for pre informed numbers and data like velocity and direction.
    I think this could save lives.

    I have no connections with this company but a partnership or integration with the people that created the app IEXIT would be a nice plus. IEXIT shows all the rest stop and the stores available on interstate highways

  16. Toll Roads - Certain Toll Roads

    Hi

    It would be great if we could select certain toll roads that we do and don't want to travel on. In Sydney Australia we have many different toll roads, some offer cash back and most don't, some are distance based toll road and some are fixed price regardless of the length of the road. With the distance based toll roads an entry point a few hundred metres apart can cost you a couple of dollars every trip, multiple that a few trips every day then every week it will quickly add up!!

  17. UR - add screenshot option

    On a daily basis, users report some map issues (lacking precision) that we could not verify just by the UpdateRequest data in WME, or they just do not remember/know the names of the streets/landmarks to help us find and solve the issue. Most of the times, we, the editors, need to search a lot for things that could be indicated inside of Waze, without using third parties for posting photos and screenshots like imgur.com, Facebook, or our personal contact pages/phone numbers/emails.

    A button for adding a screenshot could be useful somewhere in the message notification screen.

  19. integrate with Beeline Moto

    there is a great, simple, navigation device for motorbikes called Beeline Moto - https://beeline.co/pages/beeline-moto - it would be awesome if the Waze team would work with them to make Waze the default map/navigation solution for their client, and incorporate a simple way to use the buttons/screen on the device to send reports back while riding (wearing gloves I can't tap the phone screen to report something, but tapping a button on the Beeline Device could step through a reporting wizard quickly and easily)...

  20. Add H2 Hydrogen as Fuel Type

    In Europe and California to name a few there is already a network of automotive Hydrogen filling stations available, and expanding. Sometimes these are stand-alone stations, sometimes in a combination with other fuel types. The Waze community should be able to add automotive Hydrogen filling stations on the map, both as a new location or at an existing gas station. The wazer should be able to provide price information on Hydrogen. Moreover the Wazer should be able to search for Hydrogen filling stations as he would search for a traditional gas station, including options along the planned route including price…
