Towing mode
Cars towing caravans and trailers are limited to 60mph
A towing mode would adjust the ETA for a max speed of 60.3 votes -
Van/weight limit routes
I have a van that exceeds the weight limit for the Rotherhithe, but there’s no way in which I can stop Waze taking me that route. Could you add a feature so I can select my car type as a van so it won’t send me down these restricted routes and give me a fine.

Set user level using points
I've been an active user on waze for over 10 years reporting items like police cams and intermittent construction. In order to make any edits to the map requires level 3 which currently requires 5000 edits. Add an additional way to achieve higher levels based on user points. For example I have 239,582 points and it doesn't seem they are really useful for anything.

LPG (GLP) stations
I would like to suggest adding LPG (GLP) stations as a specific fuel category in the app. In the Dominican Republic, a large percentage of vehicles run on LPG, and it is currently difficult for users to locate these specific stations quickly. Adding a dedicated filter or icon for LPG would greatly improve the navigation experience for thousands of drivers in the region.

Animal Crossing and Equestrian Road Usage Attributes
Requesting a feature in Waze Map Editor that allows editors to assign permanent animal-related road attributes to road segments.
Many roads are marked with official signs indicating wildlife crossings, or regular use by horse riders. These represent ongoing, predictable conditions rather than temporary hazards, but there is currently no structured way to reflect them in the map.
This feature should allow editors to tag roads with:
Animal crossing (e.g., wildlife such as deer or moose)
Equestrian road usage (roads frequently used by riders)
Making these attributes visible to drivers would improve awareness and safety, especially on rural or mixed-use roads…

The country designation in this location is inaccurate. This area is part of the Republic of Kosova, not Serbia.

Add Keyboard Shortcuts to Google Places / Agregar atajos de teclado a Google Places
I would like to suggest adding keyboard shortcuts to Google Places.
Keyboard shortcuts could help users work more efficiently by reducing the need for repetitive mouse actions, especially when reviewing or editing multiple places. This improvement would save time, improve usability, and make the overall experience faster and more comfortable for advanced users.
Fix "House number already exists" error.
When adding HNs, if a particular number and street name combination exist anywhere else in the state, you get an error message that the HN can't be added because it already exists on the street.' It's not unusual for a street name to be used many times in other cities in the state.
What's even more frustrating is when the HN has been on the street for YEARS but in the wrong position but all you do is try to move it to the correct position and you get the "House number already exists" error.
There are work-arounds to force…

Add “Speed bump” as a map error report option
Add “Speed bump” as a map error report option
It would be useful to allow users to report speed bumps as a map error instead of only as a general hazard.
Currently, speed bumps are often missing or inconsistently mapped, and reporting them through broad categories reduces accuracy and slows down data correction.
Proposed feature:
- Add “Speed bump missing” or “Incorrect speed bump” under Map error reports
- Allow users to pin the exact location on the map
- Optional details (type, size, visibility)
Benefits:
- more precise map data
- faster correction of missing road features
- improved routing accuracy and driver awareness

Alpha Sort Shield picker display order
Need to alpha sort Shield Picker and place all generics (County Road) at the top. This was fixed shortly after the NA MMU in Seattle, but has reverted in subsequent releases.

Object/pothole ahead - option to pick a lane
It would be nice to have an option to report the specific lane/side of the road a pothole, hazardous object, roadkill, etc. is on!

Add an “Aerial Traffic Enforcement / Aerial Patrol” report type.
Currently Waze users often report helicopters monitoring traffic using generic police or hazard reports, which creates inaccurate map data.
A dedicated temporary aerial-surveillance event would improve report quality and traffic awareness, especially on highways where helicopter presence influences driving patterns over large areas.
Suggested characteristics:
temporary event
larger visibility radius than regular police reports
optional direction of travel
low-noise notification style
community confirmation required3 votes -
SAFEST not FASTEST route
This might not be relevant to users in very safe countries, but if you live in or travel to some South American or African countries (or even in some districts of the US), you do not necessarily want to get the fastest route, but the SAFEST one – omitting dangerous areas (like gang zones). As a concrete example, I was driving through Rio de Janeiro and Waze suddenly tried to reroute me through a Favela, because it was supposedly a few minutes "faster" (something, travel guides and the State Department even explicitly warn about). In fact, there were already news…

Schedule speed limit changes
Allow editors to schedule speed limit changes. For example during roadworks there is often a reduced speed limits. It would be useful to be able to set, in the editor, a start and finish date for these reduced speed limits. This would prevent an editor changing the speed limit and forgetting to change it back. This could be tied into tile builds so the edit is made in time for that days tile build.

Add my GPS speed data into "Your Drive" drive sessions
It would be nice to see my speed over the road segments in the saved sessions in "Your Drive" and probably color code the segments where I was too slow or too fast for the speed limit on that segment. I think if I am reviewing my drives and found that there are colored segments, I could probably easily tell that the speed limit on that road has changed and suggest and update to the maps. Or at least have a proof that I was a good boy and didn't speed up.
