Add Pictures to places from WME
Allow a map editor user (level 4 or higher) to add images to places.

I think the current system is fine. I can drive to a place and then take my phone with me to get a good shot from outside the car once I arrive.
There are so many bad photos that get submitted though.

In WME has some of the worst pictures of places accepted from past editors. Basic picture tools (cropping, bluring, cut and paste, manipulating) could salvage many of the old pictures previous users took and allow new images to be adjusted before accepting if need be to bring to brought to community standards. I cant say I aggree with Lvl 4. Many times I am passing place that could be a good image (No cars or people), but dont have Waze open, then could snap the picture, upload later. For me, I dont want to spend 10-15 minutes on my phone to attempting to get into Waze when I already have someting in motion (ie..with family or work).

I wiould say lvl 4 is not needed, but anyone that falls under a trusted user. Like I am a lvl 2 editor but if I submit a picture from my phone, it just goes right through, no need to be approved. I should be able to do the same from my computer.

Good idea!
We hope that the feature will be available soon.
Having it only from level 4 or higher seems to me a bit exaggerated.
The function could be active starting from level 3 -

Is it too much to ask for some basic editing tools (actually just cropping), so that we can crop out some identifiable features of individuals. Some photos are actually perfect, but just at the edge of the frame, a registration plate or a face is present. Always a waste to reject such photos :(

The impact is to adjust some places with fotos that are provided by other means, for example the owner of the place has done a professional photoshoot of that place, this way we can upload this images as the place photo.

As for impact, one thing I would definitely use it for is when merging duplicate places, to get photos from one place record onto the one that will be preserved. Right now we can delete photos from places in WME, but not anything else like adding or reordering them. It would enable editors to ensure higher quality photos as well. For example, we could use this to crop photos better, or redact/blur sensitive information from an otherwise suitable photo.

Sería muy útil

I disagree, regardless of level of the editor, the purpose of images is for users who are keenly going to these places adding a picture that is current and dated for that trip, not to copy and paste from google a picture from whenever. If Waze wanted that then 90% of business could just have pictures imported from the streetview functionality by mapping street to location marker with user input to correct the erroneous areas or non viewable areas via the app.

R4 seems high to me - It shouldn't be that hard to remind R3's of the guidelines. In any case, whether submitted by a user or by an editor, it's still user submitted content, which generally in USA and probably other countries, means the user is responsible for it rather than the site, if it were found to be infringing.

This is somewhat tricky... On the other hand there can be possible copyright problems but on the other hand this would be needed.
Then again, I don't take pictures when driving since holding electronic devices during it is forbidden by law in my country. That would often be the only way to take a good picture of the place before arriving to it because then you're often too close.
But I have a dashboard cam which records and I could take still shots from it's videos via PC if those were possible to add via WME.
Anyway, could we at least get some editing possibilities when accepting the photos people submit? Very, very often we have to reject those because images contain something that we cannot allow and simple blurring tool would be enough to make those perfectly alright. I actually made a suggestion "Ability to edit PUR photos to blur items" of it.

Me parece una gran propuesta, aunque yo la ampliaría a los editores de nivel 3, que ya tienen suficiente experiencia para utilizar la herramienta adecuadamente

I'd propose that the user level be country-configurable. It probably makes sense to not allow everyone the functionality, but there are plenty of R3 users who would be great at this.

Copyright infringement is just as easy from the camera -- can be taken of another screen.
Since Google and Yelp both allow uploading of place photos from the computer, it's a poor excuse.

Veo con mucha aceptación la propuesta. Y mas si se inicia probando con editores igual o superior a 4. Así no quedaría abierta para todo tipo de usuario.
