Since bilingual support is a bigger issue affecting not just the WME, this is a company-wide decision that we will bring to the relevant teams.

We plan to work on showing the average speed during average speed check zones in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

An error occurred while saving the comment Glodenox (Global Champ) commented@TheMet4lGod: it's not that difficult, actually. The idea is to have the closure active the very moment the tile build has taken place. There are situations where you want a new segment to have a closure active right from the start and there's no technical reason why this wouldn't be possible. As a matter of fact: this can already be done right now, but the end time of the closure may not be more than 48 hours in the future. This suggestion would mostly just get rid of that limitation, but that would probably require some sort of "orphaned closures removal" task to run periodically in the back-end.

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Hey jangliss,
Thank you very much for this detailed suggestion.
Currently there is a lot of work around communication between the WME and the client (the app), to find how best should be handled. We will do our best to share some more details about it in the near future.
At this point this is currently not planned, and therefore won’t move to our back log.
If any thing in this direction will be changed, we will update accordingly.
Best,
HeziGlodenox (Global Champ) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Glodenox (Global Champ) commentedI'm a big fan of this solution. There are some challenges to the practical execution of this, but I don't see anything insurmountable. It's a shame this is currently not planned, but hopefully the communication rework will help things out.
But before doing all that, I think it would be best to _at the very least_ set up an auto-reply for no-reply@waze.com (I know, ironic) saying that the mail could not be delivered and that the instructions in the original mail should be followed. Many mail clients will just show "Waze Map Editor" instead of the no-reply address. This is something that can be done in a matter of minutes. I'll create a separate suggestion for this to make sure this doesn't get hidden.

An error occurred while saving the comment Glodenox (Global Champ) commented4 separate people seem to have thought of this and took the time to suggest it. This would really fill a need that many editors have + it would make the app even more social. Though of course, safety standards should be held high if this gets implemented. It can't be too distracting.

Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

I'm certain Waze is quite aware of the need for this feature. They experience this themselves as well on a daily basis. I just think you're underestimating how big the impact of this change actually is within Waze. It's not just as simple as adding a property somewhere, but it requires making changes in basically all map-related functions of Waze. Especially adjusting the map tiles is a major undertaking and would require all clients to be able to handle (or at least ignore) this new data.
That said, I do fully agree that this is an important feature for many countries and it should be given a proper priority instead of being considered too big a risk to add.
