Set-up - changing country
Not an idea as much as a question. How I change the country if I picked the wrong one in the beginning? This app is useless with current setting and I can't seem to change it.

Need way to edit one lane bridge, due to long term construction, causes two way traffic to wait, traffic lights on ramps and road
Need way to edit/show one lane bridge, especially due to long term construction. Current situation causes two way traffic to wait while traffic lights on ramps and road cycle to allow only one ramp or roadway lane to proceed at a time from any direction.
No existing Waze edit function to mark local bridge that is under repairs and causing traffic delays. How can we show detour? All traffic is now funneled through one lane on bridge one traffic direction/lane at a time. No edit function to indicate this to warn drivers to avoid bridge, at least not for level…

Allow showing route without starting voice navigation directions
Their time to when you want to see the route and know how long it's going to take without actually starting voice command navigation. I would suggest adding another button in the route dialog box next to the go button or the routes button that just says "Route Only", or have a checkbox there that turns off voice navigation (so when you tap Go it just shows the route and time to destination).

A more credible alert...
The following factors would give a "certainty" rating to each report:
* Number of wazers ahead of me (within .5-2 miles)
* Number of minutes since the alert was posted
* Number of "thanks" attached to report
* Whatever logic Waze uses to determine more credible users...15 votes -
Identify passing official passing lanes on two way roads
Knowing when the next good passing opportunity is would help reduce driver frustration (maybe). Official passing lanes only though - not areas where anyone thinks you can pass.

Optional "no map" (trip computer) view when route is known
8 out of 10 times I use Waze driving to and from work, a route I know very well so I don't need Waze to show me my position on the map.
What I instead would like is a "trip computer" kind of interface, showing me things like my current speed, current speed limit (if known), maybe a color code for traffic ahead on route (green, yellow, red), ETA, current road name (nice to have, not need to have - I know where I am), live updates of incidents (needs to update themselves automatically), textual navigation instructions like "turn right…15 votes -
Send a text message when delayed and/or shortly before arriving
Waze can send twitter-messages, but with the new APIs in iOS4 it could send textmessages (SMS) as well. When entering a destination for routing, one could also select a mobile phonenumber (of the person we are driving to) so that significant delays are reported automatically to this person. Also, waze could send a SMS some minutes before arriving at the destination. This comes really handy when you want to pick someone up!
When I say "automatically" - I mean that Waze pops up a dialog that you only have to confirm.

Disable/option iPhone touch-rotating map
When navigating with my iPhone I usually want to zoom in and out using the pinch movement as most apps use, but half the time trigger the touch to rotate map feature, which I never really need to use.
My suggestion: Disable this (the map will still rotate when you are heading in a certain direction, which is all anyone should need it to do) or at least have an option to turn it off.

Speed limit icon too small
I absolutely love this app—it's my go-to navigation tool, and I wouldn't be taking the time to give this feedback if I didn’t value it so much.
During my first big ride out last weekend, I noticed one significant issue: the speed limit icon(the red circle) is simply too small. I find myself having to shift my focus and move my eyes about six inches from the screen just to read it.
While I understand I shouldn’t rely solely on the app for speed limit confirmation, it’s incredibly useful in a pinch. Ideally, the icon should be about the size…

Add stops
Before, it was possible to add multiple stops on Waze, and this is important for me since I work with deliveries. However, after the latest updates, it's only possible to add a single stop. On top of that, instructions like "turn right," "turn left," and "roundabout" are no longer being spoken, which makes using Waze impractical and forces me to rely on Google Maps. Please bring back the feature to add multiple stops because, even on the slowest day, I have seven consecutive deliveries to complete. I live in Brazil, where security is terrible if not nonexistent and having to…

Electric Vehicle Notification
How do I turn off or remove the “drive an electric vehicle?” Start up notification. This does not apply to me and is annoying. Thank you

Transferring routes from Google Maps to Waze
Hi,
Since Waze is now linked to Google Maps, it would be great if I could transfer a planned route from Google Maps with multiple stops to my Waze app.14 votes -
Extreme Temperature Crisis Response
Waze should add Extreme Temperature events to the Crisis Response process. As extreme heat events and extreme cold events become more and more frequent, citizens are going to increasingly need to find and navigate to Cooling Centers and Warming Centers that local governments and emergency planners open when the weather gets too hot or too cold. These types of extreme temperature events often put a big strain on power grids, and when temperatures reach dangerous levels, they need to quickly find shelter from the extreme temperatures. Many people have reliable heating and cooling at home, but unless they have backup…

Battery Saver always on
Option to have battery saver always-on by default. It's a poor user experience to have to set this manually for EVERY journey for those that want to have the battery as high as practitable before exiting the car and/or save their OLED screens from burning. Not everyone uses a charger in the car. And most phones use OLED screens.
'Automatically turn on' is there as an option, but it waits for battery to become low before kicking in, which rather defeats the object of saving battery (it's too late if it's already become low!) and meanwile you risk burning the…

Trucker Version
Develop a trucker setting, or perhaps an entirely separate 'Trucker Waze' app for those of us running larger vehicles. We need to know about low clearance overpasses/bridges, narrow lanes and one lane bridges, weight restrictions, etc. For example, I pull oversized trailers up and down the East Coast (USA). I am 14'6" high, and 10'6" wide. You could even buy Trucker Path and add all the Waze functionality...
