Animals no longer in hazard option
The recent update took animals out of hazard options when using Android connected to car. I saw it in the app when I disconnect from car but it doesn't show up on my car screen when connected anymore.
Also, like MANY others say PLEASE add an option to put animals ON ROAD.
On another note, much needed add stop to route!

Voice audio sample
When selecting a new voice it would be very convenient to have an audio sample play so we don't need to start a trip to hear what it sounds like.
32 votesWe plan to work on adding an option to hear Voice samples when choosing in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

Reporting closures from further away
Closures can currently only be reported if you're right next to the road. I can't always report it because I'm on a roundabout or having to redirect quickly so as not to cause traffic. However, I can pull over a road or two away to report it but the app doesn't allow this since I can only report it if I'm on or next to the closed road.
I think this is an essential feature that needs to be added because sometimes there aren't diversion signs and I have to find my own way around it without waze because it'll tell me I can go down the closed road when I can't.Closures can currently only be reported if you're right next to the road. Stop automatically rerouting to Waze's preferred route
Your selected route should be "sticky" or require permission to change.
Waze is great, we all know that. But there is one issue that is almost service-breaking. When I select an alternate route, as opposed to waze's preferred route, if I make one minor change (such as backing out to the left when Waze expected me to go right), Waze will put me back on its preferred route.
This happens every time. More than once Waze has rerouted me onto the Interstate in rush hour even though I had explicitly chose a different route 10 seconds earlier. There is no voice prompt or notification that this happens, you only notice when you realize you're on a different path.

max parking height
At work we can choose between a VW Caddy (height 1,89m) and a BMW 316 (lower :P ).
Today only the BMW was available, so we took that one.
At Brussels I drove into a parking, close to our destination thanks to waze.
The parking is very low, the max. height is 1,75m. Luckily we were there with the bmw and not the Caddy.
It would be a nice feature if the max. height would be announced of parking space.32 votes -
We need Waze to be able to take us back the same road for a return trip."breadcrumb trail"
I find it necessary to return from a destination sometimes the same way I went. I want to find something I saw on my trip. having a breadcrumb trail would be great.

Comments on PURs
It would be nice to have a comment section on a PUR, especially for pictures. It would allow the editors to give a reason why the picture or update is being rejected. So maybe the next time they would try to take a better picture that did not include, faces, license plates, etc. I think this would help the community be more aware of what we as editors can accept. I think being able to tell them the reasons instead of just rejecting it would help more, due to the fact users my be confused or upset that their pictures or updates never get published.

Is there a way to avoid Parkways? A lot of times we can't take them if we have a trailer.

Road hazard on median
Add a "median side of road" in addition to the existent "middle of road" and "side of road" options for hazards.
32 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Allow people to upload their own Waze profile picture (like their car) to get easily identified while driving...
Hi people. Please forgive me for my average English, I'm a French Waze user...
At the moment, the only way to display a picture when clicking on a Wazer is to link your Facebook account with your Waze client.
I guess that a lot of people (like me) don't want to link their Facebook profile with the Waze client or they don't own one.
My idea => Create a function on the Waze client to allow people to upload their own pictures.
The goal => When a Wazer is in the vicinity of your location, you can click on it and also see if his / her car has already passed you...
Funny and interesting function, isn't it?!
I hope you'll like this suggestion / enhancement and vote for it!

Add the possiblility to use a bluetooth handsfree device
In most of cars there is a telephone hands-free Bluetooth system integrated with the car audio system; it would be great to have the voice message from waze client to go to the Audio system via Bluetooth connection.

Ad a ”hide me at this address" function
Suggestion: Make an option to hide me from view to all other wazers within a radius of ?200? meters from a selected address
Why: For example, At home I want to follow my wife/husband coming from work, and I turn waze on, now everyone can see where I (my nickname) live. From there it is easy to track me when I am home or out at it becomes easy to track my routines.
In the long run it would be nice if accepted friends could se you at home, and that you could choose our own radius.32 votes -
Color/Icon for landmarks
It would be great to make different colors for different classes of landmark. Or to use scale-independent icons for (for example) gas stations.
I cannot visually separate the supermarket and it's parking.

Show Roadshields without voice output
It would be great to show Roadshields on the smartphone client without voice output.
At the moment we can show "straight ahead" without voice instruction with the lane assistant tool on WME. This function shows the detail "continue straight" only (without voice output).
It would be great to setup Roadshields and give them a flag "show only, without voice output". Roadshields are a powerful tool and can help to find the right direction. But a voice output isn't necessary always.31 votes -
