1. Please fix bug and improve the App.

   Dear Sirs,
   I am a user of "Waze" application more than 2 years ago and very satisfied of it.. and that's why I wrote a 5 star feedback to "Google Play"..
   Also I'm ranked in 29th position of my Country (Greece) with name "AnastasiosII"..
   Last 2 weeks the Application appears a bug and can't connect to device's GPS (!!).. so it uses network's approximately position..
   If you're wondering if my phone's GPS works properly the answer is YES and it's tested on "Google Navigator".. and "Sygic" normally..
   Appreciating all your great work I would like make you some suggestions that I think it will improve further the "Waze"..
   1. There's no option to correct or to remove a wrong notification.. Sometimes a situation on the road can change instantly.. so a notification on map can be wrong or useless..
   So I think it should be very effective for the users can edit at anytime (probably after 2 different edits or from high ranked users)..
   2. When you Pave a new road or path.. it's nessesary to be online in network otherwise it doesn't work.. but in sometimes it's impossible.. Mobile Networks are not stabile and they have not coverage everywhere..
   I think any correction can be stored mainly on the phone and then it can uploaded when network it's available..
   and
   3. In older versions the "Traffic notification" (and others) had an option for the otherside of the road the problem was.. but in last versions you have removed.. so now we can't warn the other side users..
   I wish my notifications will help you improve your products and all the Community..

2. Add an Undo / Revert Button to "View History"

   Sometimes edits are made not following the guidelines or not reflecting the actual road conditions (the editor thinks what is seen in the satellite imagery / Street View is current).

   Since the history of the objects is already tracked, a revert button should be simple enough to implement and can save valuable edit time.

5. Add "avoid side streets" option

   In certain neighborhoods, side street routes are unsafe and not necessarily faster than sticking with the main drag: nothing like having to wait with 3 of my fellow Wazers while an onstreet drug deal concludes in front of us (side street alternative route directed by Waze in NE DC). Or maybe just add "Drug deal in progress" to the notifications?

6. Split the long road into segments

   There is only one option so far to see if there is a jam. The whole segment of the road between the junctions is marked as one piece.

   It is probably fine with very short roads and many junctions, but when the road is long and there is only a relatively small problem - Waze is misleading.

   Besides if I see the last metres before the junction to be red, I understand that there is a traffic light. When the whole street is red - there is a jam.

   There are too many long roads which have a problem in the middle (say, a roadwork) causing local problems. There is no need to pain the whole segment red.

8. Faster nightmode detection

   I have an Android car stereo with Waze.
   When I turn on ignition, Android boots up and Waze starts.

   It seems that Waze needs GPS as well as network access to detect night mode. As after bootup, GPS and network needs a while (1 or 2 minutes), Waze starts in day mode even in the night.

   Please, do not addict night mode detection to GPS and network, and look at the local clock. Possibly use last known position and the current time.

   With Waze's full brightness of day mode it dazzles - driving so is really dangerous.

12. Improve navigation at private installations

    Please modify the app's map to display gate icons representing gates that were previously created in the editor. Each icon will be invisibly linked to a nearby private road segment. When the gate is closed, the normal penalty for a private road will be applied to the route should this wazer's route include the segment. If the gate is open, there will be no penalty when this wazer's route traverses the segment.

    An example of how this works would be a gated neighborhood with a main entrance where all visitors must enter and a private entrance that may be used by any resident. For the sake of argument, let's assume that this is a larger community so the two entrances connect to completely different collector roads. As a result, there is a significant navigation advantage to letting waze choose the best entrance for an resident while a visitor, taken to the private entrance, would have a hard time finding the main entrance. Currently, we can optimize the map to residents, or visitors, but not both. With this new feature an editor would use a street at the main entrance and a PR, with linked gate, at the private entrance. Initially every wazer would be navigated to a residence in this community through the main entrance. However, wazers who know how to use the private entrance may search the app's map to locate that entrance then zoom in to see the gate which they would finally select to open. For those individuals waze would then treat both the main, and private, entrances as streets thereby navigating through the entrance that offers the best route to their destination.

    To prevent abuse of this feature the following guidelines might be implemented:
    1) Never display a gate when navigating.
    They're simply too much of a distraction as changing one while navigating would require a recalculation.
    2) Only display gates at maximum zoom.
    A wazer should be searching for an entrance, or intersection, that may have a gate rather than just looking for gates randomly.
    3) Limit the number of gates that a wazer may simultaneously open to a small number.
    I'm just guessing but 8, or 16, seem like a generous limit.

14. Garder Waze au premier plan IOS

    Bonjour, Il serait vraiment urgent de remettre l'option "garder waze au premier plan" lors d'un appel sur Iphone. En effet, cette option est disponible sur Android mais pas sur IOS. Les commerciaux passent de nombreux appels pendant les trajets, cela m'a déjà couter plusieurs points, car je n'avais plus accès à l'appli pendant l'appel.
    Un fidèle utilisateur (140000 Km avec Waze).

15. Simplifier les signalements

    Bonjour, je pense qu'il serait beaucoup moins dangereux pour le conducteur de pouvoir faire des signalements par UNE SEULE action sans avoir à préciser les accidents et les dangers. Par exemple si accident léger ou grave, plusieurs manipulations à faire dans un contexte dangereux lors d'un accident de circulation ou véhicule en panne au milieu de la chaussée.
    Retour d'expérience où j'ai abandonner le signalement au risque d'un sur-accident.

16. BT buttons for reporting

    Waze could really use some BT (or NFC) connected buttons which one could paste on the steering wheel for reporting. One should be able to predefine common reports (police here, accident here, etc) and thus be able to report with a single button press.

19. Opposing carriageway incident

    Used to be able to report incident on he opposing carriageway. This feature was lost on an update some time ago but should be introduced, it would update the traffic info database & assist those travelling on that route by giving early notice & possible diversions.

    (I tried sending the screenshot mentioned in my comments below to support@waze.com at 4:57pmEST 24Mar2017 but got an autoreply that that email box isn't monitored frequently, so if you want the screenshot check there.). Heads up on this:

    I put in the destination address into my iPad Calendar app but Waze imported it as incorrectly as I've shown with a dual-app-view screenshot and as follows:
    
    1. Utilizes the wrong house # and
    2. drops the Unit #

    See mid screen I put in "4 Forest St, Unit 2, Cambridge, Ma" to my calendar but Waze imports as "2 Forest St, Cambridge, Ma" instead as show on the right side of my screenshot.

    Thought you would want to know so you can have it handle Unit # and possibly Apt, Suite or whatever other delimiting & defining words a user might intuitively put into their calendar.
