Set a reminder according to your ETA.
For example, if you know you have to meet someone and you want to alert her in advance that you are about to arrive. Alternatively, when you about to come home from a long winter drive and you want your mother to heat the water so you could have a hot shower as you get home, etc.3 votes -
zusing Waze with Uber & Indriver
Iam a member in the boggest Uber & Didi & Indriver facebook page in Egypt and Saudi arabia. If I make a youtube video about how Waze app is more useful and easy to use than any other navigation app Iam sure that all the facrbook page user's will download Waze and use it during using Uber and any other look aike application.

personalised commentary whilst driving.
Point out interesting landmarks/ sites whilst on a trip, with commentary personalised to one's interests.

Have a daily notification showing traffic on route traveled in advance of departure
Daily notification at a set time that informs you about traffic on selected routes. i.e. at 5 pm a notification alerts you to traffic on the M11.
I don't use Waze for my commute each day as I know the way, accordingly i often forget to check the traffic and get caught. A daily notification at the same time would stop this, it could also provide an alternate route.

Run in background until navigation is completed
The app is always closing when it is in the background or my phone screen is off. Android.
When I'm on my motorcycle my phone is in my pocket. Or when I need to stop and open up some other apps and do something the Waze process will kill.
Battery optimization for this app is turned off.
Many other apps work perfectly fine in the background, stop blaming Android.
I've read that ways says that this is intended behavior, add a switch please because the "intended behavior" is stupid. This auto closing behavior makes this app pretty useless because I…1 vote -

Close Archive suggestions that have been implemented
Mark a suggestion as already implemented or not a suggestion.
Lots of suggestions are made not realising the feature already exists.
Provide a way to mark the suggestion as Solved / Implemented. The suggestion is then moved to Category "Solved".
Benefit:
Community reviewers and commenters don't spent time contributing to suggestions already have a solution / solved.1 vote -

Allow the poster of a forum topic to mark the topic as closed and solved. As a new forum user its frustrating to start work on a topic only to discover the map has already been fixed

It would be great if I,for example, made a Dr appt for a month from now and could enter it and forget it. As far as I can tell, you are of.
If I make an appointment 5 weeks from now, I’d like to add it to my waze and forget it. If I’m not mistaken, you only have 6 days? Maybe I’m doing it incorrectly

Cooperative integration with other data providers
Work together with similar applications that use their own databases but on a nationally limited level. For example Blitzer de in Germany, Flitsmeister in the Netherlands etc. That would mean an advantage in regards of database size for both parties involved.
Make a cooperative server where Waze and other services upload data. Prevent doubled data by checking if the same kind of report already exists in a radius.
Maybe make an agreement that every service charges their users a specified amount of money for using that shared database to cover the costs of development and servers and to financially compensate…

Stop playing an audio tone when we click on "still there" even with sound on.
With sound on, if you click "still there" for road hazards, you now play a tone. This tone interrupts the playback of bluetooth audio in the car and is very annoying. We WANT other sounds to play, so turning to "alerts only" or "sound off" is not a solution. We just want that little feedback sound gone.

Hello Waze team, I am writing this email with a suggestion that will improve the life and positively the well being of every single user un Mexico.
As you might know, Mexico has a lot of cities, (a.k.a Colonias) spreaded out throughout the country. However, a lot of those cities are of a very low reputation where crime is really high and anybody could easily get assaulted and likely murdered just by driving there.
My suggestion is a simple one, yet life saving to everyone using the amazing Waze application.
We need a way to report how violent a city…

I can't get Waze on Suzuki myspin. It is supposed to be open source and should be usable. Does anyone know how to use it or here's a challenge for programmers :)2 votes -
finding parking
Waze should have a parking spot finder option in hotspot areas. For example: NYC. Users with the app already have GPS enabled, a feature can be added to anonymously show when a car moved out of a spot or spots that have been selected as available to make parking easier in populated areas.
