  3. Feux tricolores / Trafic lights

De nombreux Wazers, comme moi, utilisent les feux tricolores en panne, pour signaler des feux de travaux.
Many Wazers, like me, use broken traffic lights to signal construction traffic lights.

  4. Move Over or Slow Down

Instead of saying "Look out, vehicle on shoulder ahead," can the alert instead say 'Move over or slow down, vehicle on shoulder ahead.' Most states have move over laws and we want drivers moving over or slowing down for roadside vehicle situations. 'Look out' is not only jarring and uninformative, it lacks guidance and direction on what action drivers should take.

  5. Trust based system for report longevity

    Hi Waze Team,

I’d like to suggest adding a trust-based system to improve the accuracy of reports. The idea is that users who consistently receive upvotes on their reports could have their future reports trusted for a longer duration by default. This would reward reliable contributors while reducing the impact of inaccurate or spam reports.

For example, if a user frequently provides reports that receive positive feedback, their new reports could remain visible longer before requiring additional confirmations. Conversely, reports from users with a lower trust score could require more confirmations sooner.

I believe this could enhance the reliability of…

  6. Longer lasting in lower population

Potholes, hazards, construction and other things similar to this should remain on the map longer in lower populated areas as there are less people to upvote these. People shouldn't have to report the same pothole several times a day, these need to have a higher default lasting time and take into consideration the Waze user density in that area.

Remek, hogy a térkép megjelenik a BMW műszerfal kijelzőn, de hasznos volna a navigációs utasítások és jelentések megjelenítése rajta.

  9. Add a HOT/HOV lane on-screen toggle

Please add an on-screen toggle when the HOT/HOV lane is coming up. Many people have different times they use the lanes. For instance, I always use the HOV lane when I have another passenger, but obviously never use it when I am alone. For the HOT lane, I only use it if the cost is under a couple dollars. I've seen it go up in the teens, and that is way too much. I only make these decisions while already driving because I'm not thinking about them at the start of the trip in the suburbs. If I'm driving alone,…

  11. Police Speed Check instead of Police

80% of my “Police” alerts that pop up are for people that have been pulled over, which is technically “Vehicle on Shoulder”. I end up reporting “not there” and then change it to Vehicle on Shoulder. I suggest changing Police and Police (Hidden) to Police Speed Check. This will eliminate the confusion of a speed check vs a car on the shoulder.

  13. Enhance Waze on CarPlay’s Instrument Display

Thank you for adding Waze to the instrument cluster on CarPlay - it’s a huge improvement! However, the current implementation could be refined for better usability.
    • The resolution is too low, making the map appear overly zoomed in with limited visibility of the road ahead.
    • Key details, such as potholes and hazards, are missing.
    • A higher-resolution option with a more zoomed-out view would greatly improve navigation.
    • Adding a 3D perspective or allowing users to customise the zoom level would make it even more useful.

Having Waze on the cluster display is fantastic for quick glances, but…

  15. Screensaver

In Ontario/Canada as per Highway & Traffic Act, it is illegal to use smartphone/device without hands free operation, and police have stated that submitting status info on apps such as Waze is illegal as per Act and grounds for ticket for not driving “hands free”. Fine for doing so (and using Waze) and distracted driving is currently over $600-800 and 3’demerit points.

Of course I observe police cruisers driving with hands on computer console violating traffic act.

It would be great to have a screensaver (blank screen or other) that could be quickly toggled on Waze display (phone and/or CarPlay)…

  16. Add skip next turn

You know when you are about to turn and there are two exits close to each other in a distance of 100m? When Waze says to turn right, you understand you turn right in the next exit, but sometimes you have to skip an exit and take the next, which are very close to each other and makes confusion. My idea is to add a sign under the turning symbol (in-app). When you are 300m away from the exit and there are two posible exits, it shows a turning symbol crossed (indicating you don't take that exit) and above it…

  17. Temporary Traffic Lights with 2Way,3Way & 4-Way sub categories

Add a category of “Temporary Traffic Lights” with sub categories of 2-Way, 3-Way and 4-way.
It would be hugely helpful to know, especially 4Way as I would go to great lengths to avoid those!

  18. Pick up on construction re-routes.

I just used Waze via Android Auto to take me home. The route it picked had an entry way ramp that was closed. There was road re-route markers BUT Waze first wanted me to turn around and go back to the ramp THAT WAS CLOSED! While following the road markers for the re-route Waze never did pick up on that until the very end of the re-route. Jeez, pay attention to road construction conditions. I guess you get what you pay for, aye?

  19. Customise routes according to specific vehicles

Vehicles such as the Citroën Ami, Fiat Topolino or Opel Rocks cannot drive on all city roads because of their low power and the speed limits imposed (45 km/h).
In Rome, for example, you can't drive on a very important road called the 'Tangenziale', or the motorway. This means that using Waze is not an option, as it often sends you to these roads, which are off-limits to small cars.
It would be better if these small vehicles could have other routes so they don't risk getting fined or worse.
