School buses & GPS
School buses have GPS now. It would be nice if the app would show active school buses in the area so we can avoid frequent and delaying stops along their route.

Button for quick change type of route
Could you add the button for fast choice between fastest/shortest/optimal way, pelase? There is to much clicks trough menu-options-navigation. Sometimes there is no enough time, because the customer is going late a he is pretty nervous. Thanks you, Taxi driver from Prague

reopen waze automatically after x seconds when switched to other apps during driving
The idea is to have the system recognize that the user is driving and waze is on but not displayed. It will automatically return to waze after x seconds. The timing will be configured by the user. Thanks Aner

Make "on my route" the default tab for reports
It seems that people would be more interested in reports that are on their route instead of around me. You can save us all a click by making on my route the default tab.

Daily Weekday Morning Traffic Report
I would like to receive a morning traffic report every weekday when I wake up to know of any hazards or traffic delays and the fastest / recommended route prior to departing to work (same destination every morning). Ideally, this would be pushed to the notification center and have the ability to be spoken (briefly stating that your preferred route is slower than usual or a wreck at a location and to use HWY 80 instead, etc.).

Crashing issues on Android
I think waze is great, unfortunately it doesn't work on my new Samsung Galaxy Y Pro B5510. Every time I try to enter a destination or touch just about anything on the screen it crashes.

Track my car's vitals; build database for community benefits
This is a big idea, no small undertaking I know. I'd like to combine my GPS app with the functionality of an app like Gas Cubby, which tracks my MPG at every fill-up and alerts me when my car is due for maintenance.
Here's how I envision it:
-I tell Waze what car I drive: ex: 2003 Saturn Vue, 6 cyl, automatic

Roles for Wazers
Suggestion: I'd like to see users be able to select 'roles' so some users can be 'law enforcement' and others can be Dept of Transportation and such. This would require some type of 'vetting' by either using an official email or by requiring users to receive a minimum # of matching alerts (police roadside) at the same location as a wazer who has selected 'law enforcement). I have a number of cop friends who would love to be able to use waze while on duty and the public know where they are. I suspect this would also give other government…

Fix vocal guidance on Nexus 4 running Android 4.3
It's been MONTHS since the vocal guidance doesn't work any more on many if not all Nexus 4 devices.running Android 4.3 ! Many forum threads talk about it, but there is yet no fix!
I'm French, but the issue also occurs in english : "in 200 meters, take left on Churchill Avenue" becomes "meters........... on"

INCREASE size of the Exit number while driving on highways, etc.
on the screen the size of font of EXIT is way too small.
I want to show you a better design to be able to see the exit number on highways in one quick look, it too hard to read like it is now. how can I send you a jpg image about it? thank you.31 votes -
Change the way Waze avoids tolls
Waze does not work well to route to locations that require a toll if you have the avoid tolls setting on.
My current understanding is that waze chooses the route with the fewest segments marked as toll segments. Instead it should count a continuous segment without exits or intersections as one toll and choose the fastest route.

Make "Police reported ahead" prompts work in background
On my Samsung Galaxy S3 the "police reported ahead" prompts dont work when the app is running in background, however, the "vehicle stopped on shoulder" prompts work just fine. I would like the opposite. Thanks,

Sort searches by smallest deviation from the route
When I create a route and then try to search a place (within the categories), the list shows the closest places, but it doesn't mean the smallest deviation from the original route. The results should be sorted by smallest deviation or by smallest increase on ETA.

Waze is reminds of the most common hazards
Hi everyone! I would like to Waze the most used reports remains "top" for example, I use a lot "car stopped on the low side," although it will Waze detects and leaves in the foreground, to avoid have too many unnecessary to manipulation. (Sorry it's a google traduction, I'm french)

Schedule a trip
I believe that a good function to Waze is allow schedule a trip. I think it can work like this:
- The user put de adress and the time he need to get there.
- Waze calculate the trip and repeat it in a determinated interval.
- When the user have to left, Waze send push notifications, for exemple "Left in 30 minutes", "Left in 15 minutes", "Left in 10 minutes", "Left in 5 minutes"8 votes
