  1. Marking roads as non-allowed transit routes

    In Sweden quite a few roads are prohibited from use when it comes to transit routes, usually because they run through densely populated areas and school zones. Using these prohibited routes will get you a fine if caught.

  2. Need way to edit one lane bridge, due to long term construction, causes two way traffic to wait, traffic lights on ramps and road

    Need way to edit/show one lane bridge, especially due to long term construction. Current situation causes two way traffic to wait while traffic lights on ramps and road cycle to allow only one ramp or roadway lane to proceed at a time from any direction.

    No existing Waze edit function to mark local bridge that is under repairs and causing traffic delays. How can we show detour? All traffic is now funneled through one lane on bridge one traffic direction/lane at a time. No edit function to indicate this to warn drivers to avoid bridge, at least not for level…

    I would like to suggest introducing “Aquaplaning risk” as a climate alert. It should be useful during raining days to another driving wazers.

  4. Restrict areas

    I think so interesting a button for activate a ways out of restrict areas. In some capital here in Brazil we have a restrict days and hours to move inside the city(in Portuguese language is called Dia de Rodizio). This feature could help us to create alternative for dont enter inside this areas. Do you know what I you mean?
    This feature will be transform waze for the best app in Brazil.

  5. Add option to select car pool when navigating

    Lets popup "carpool?" button after choosing destination in carpool times. This will help to get corresponding exits and more precise calculations. Sometimes traffic stopped while carpool is open and I dont want to get average estimation and alternative route. Thanks!

  6. Select duration when reporting

    When we report something (like in danger category) we should be able to specify the duration. Example, I have reported construction on the road and 1 hour later, it was not there anymore. This site will be in construction for the next month, I would I could set it to show for a while!!!

  7. BUG: User disappear depending on zoom level.

    When you zoom in and zoom out, or move the map, the users on the map will randomly appear / disappear. We should be able to see all users on the shown map at all time, regardless of the zoom level.

  8. Remove animation

    Remove the direction animation on the iphone and leave only the arrow to show the direction of the traffic. Sometimes depending on the zoom level, the arrow is pointing one direction but the animation "rolls" to the opposite direction .

  13. Take advantage of AMOLED screens

    AMOLED screens have the capability to reduce battery life when used correctly.
    When a user either selects Night Mode or Waze automatically selects Night Mode, please change the background to solid black instead of dark blue. This will greatly reduce the amount of LEDs being used by the screen, thus saving battery life.
    Or if a users wish to keep the dark blue background, have an option to select "Dark Night" mode.

  15. Reports button location

    Currently in the portrait view, the Reports button is in the lower left corner, which requires user to scroll down to click it. I think this button should be moved so it's visible and clickable from the main popup screen (without having to scroll down).

    Create your own waze character I think in keeping the same "waze" concept just more variety, so if it were rush hour with Hazards everywhere I could actually find my spouse in the traffic jam by a little something different

  19. Add option to enable and disable Waze based on Bluetooth and charging status

    Add the ability to enable or disable Waze based on various factors, such as bluetooth being enabled, name of paired device currently connected, or if the phone is currently connected to a power source. I love the app but I often forget to turn it off or on. As a result, I either burn battery by gps staying on if I forget to turn it Waze off, or I don't contribute to the community if I forget to turn Waze on. This could also be accomplished externally through integration with Tasker, as suggested by these ideas :

  20. Video out

    Most car audio systems have a video-capable screen. Waze could implement a video out feature using the same video-out mecanism used on apps like youtube or similar.

    That could be useful for via video out or data cable (like video app on iphone)
