Traffic jam Estimated time
"Estimated TIME in Traffic Jam NN-minutes" message should be extended with jam distance, like "Estimated TIME in Traffic Jam 10 minutes in 3 kilometers"

Please have the option to see the date/time on the map of the last time the event was reported, since it does not update.

For alerts such as police, vehicle stopped, etc.. can there be. Timestamp included? I.e police reported ahead, lqst updated 2 mins ago or last reported 2 mins ago. Something along those lines?

My suggestion is, place a time stamp/ or a timer since last update on issue, I just finished driving to Florida and back from Orlando Florida, I tried to clear off as many obsolete notices, but let’s face it no police spotting is going to be valid for more Than 4 hours in one spot. So when you look at the map and see 6 police spottings within 2-3 miles you know it’s prob the same cop but which one is the most recent. Then for vehicle on side of road use time stamp and if not cleared off by a user auto clear it after 3 days because the states are going to tow it away within 3 days, auto clear police sightings if. O updates or user canceled sightings in 24 hours.
In local city areas maybe add the choice for occupied police car or unoccupied (orals do is notorious for parking cars in an area then put lights on a timer to come off) and then move the car like once a week just so it looks like that areas being patrolled. I think that at Disney one Orange County sheriffs car has not moved in years. It’s sits across from contemporary resort.
I just think that the time stamp helps because in some instances you might be in heavy traffic or inclement weather and you can’t post or clear items

Hello!
My name is Mihai Sfetcu and I am from Bucharest, Romania. I am a member of Waze's community for about 10 years and I have a recommendation for you.
Can you display time information for the events reported in the app? (hour + minute of the last report of an event)
I am asking as the events are often expired.
Thank you!
Best wishes! -

I’ve seen other gps apps that let you know how many minutes on average you will sit in traffic when there’s an accident reported. Is this possible with Waze? Thank you

Absolutely. Many times police presence information is stale.

This is exactly the issue I have daily with waze suggesting some obscure route through town and its side alleys. Sure it may be faster, but if it means I’m dodging parked cars on narrow street vs. driving along one of the main artery bulevard 2min slower I’ll take a wide street without obstacles any day.

Hi.
As the title states, I would find it very useful when one approaches an upcoming police or hazard , besides the icon, if your company would consider adding a small note on tje time when said "item" was posted by the waze member... just the time would suffice to me (for now). There has been many times when I approach said icon "warning" & find the said the threat is no longer there.
Having a better understanding of said threat can be of benefit to many of us here at waze
Pls consider this & hope to see it into effect. -

I agree, need a "number of minutes elapsed" indicator on icon (badge) for alerts. Helpful when seeing a "Police" alert to know how fresh it is.

I absolutely love this app. It's one of the most accurate and helpful GPS apps around. I love all the features and abilities of finding alternate routes and its ease of use. My ONLY recommendation to the developers would be to add time stamps to alerts (ex: hazard reported ahead - animals near road @ 9:30am) ...so if you're coming through at 9:45 and you get the alert you can gauge how much caution you need to exercise...

BTW, just noticed that this idea is almost 2 year old. Not sure why it hasn't got much more attention. Sometimes it's hard to tell why there are no reports on the road you're traveling. It could be because there is really nothing to report, or it could be because no Wazer has driven this road for a while and therefore no one had a chance to report anything and you're driving into unknown without realizing that.
It would be nice to have this additional piece of information to be extra careful. -

Absolutely. Like animal on shoulder in 30 min ago does not mean anything vs 2 min ago means huge.

totally agree. a police report from 5 min ago is more of a concern than one of 90 min ago.

This is a MUST!! WHY on this earth is that not happening. It is IMPOSSIBLE to know if it is still there if there never was a time indicated.

Set a maximum amount of travel time that you would want and receive alert when the traffic subsides and the total route time meets your parameters. Would be very helpfull in seasonal destinations... Ie where people are driving to from the beach at similar time

But that is "Around" which does not equal that road. I agree, It would be nice to see how "fresh" the road is.
