google assistant sucks and doesnt work with waze, you push it and it beeps then you say an address and it sits there for a second and reverts back to the map with no results.. going to find an older version of the app apk this version sucks ***

Alternatively, can you voice command the favourites/saved places list and have the list displayed with a number 1-10 next to each item. Then another voice command to select the saved place by saying the number. I've seen this done on another satnav system.

Google Assist is garbage.

OK Waze is great for older people. As much as possible, I like to keep my hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Even a small drift while driving is scary and disconcerting. Imagine driving down the road trying to report an accident and causing an accident.

Bring back talk to waze feature instead of google assistant. Or make possible selection in settings.

I only use Waze in English wherever I am in the world except when I search for addresses in Israel which I do in Hebrew characters to avoid difficulties in transliterating addresses from Hebrew to English.

I feel very strongly that needing to click five steps, Go to reports, Send a report, search for, as an example, Hazard, Shoulder, Vehicle stopped, is a dangerous distraction from giving my full attention to driving. The same goes for other reports, including traffic reports which are the "brain" of Waze in a certain sense. I felt very relaxed when I was able to give notifications by voice using OK Google. It worked very well for me in English until it was discontinued in Israel

Please bring Google Assistant back for those who use English and try and resolve the Hebrew issues as soon as possible!

Most eu countries have a ban in touching the phone while driving
So ok waze feature and full handsfree should be enable. Or put back into the app. Why did you take it out?

It is impossible to search other languages than are available for google assistant which makes voice search unusable. Please re-enable it back :(

To anyone having this problem. I downloaded Waze 4.64.1.0 and disabled auto update. I'm using that version, where the voice recognition still works fine. I will be stuck with that version as long as it works or the new one gets fixed.

Since Google Assistant took over Ask Waze, I had a bad time because it became impossible to search for a place in Portugues.
After several iterations the support finally told me how to get it back, but unfortunately the solution meant to disable Google Assistant at all from my Android... :(

This is a step back, because both were perfectly able to coexist before.

Please revert this odd dependency!

Google Assistant in Waze is a total disaster since it is in English only, and start telling irrelevant stories instead of provide an address when using voice. It is impossible to use the voice search in Germany because you cannot pronounce the street names correctly. It must be in German. Go back to the era before this harmful improvement. I assume that the same problem is in Israel (I am not there) for Hebrew, as well as for many other languages.

Waze Voice recognition worked perfectly in Hungarian for years. Now Google Assistant is forced on us and it is not able to understand a single address. Thus, Waze lost a very good feature and I can't understand why can't I just revert to the original voice recognition I used for years.

i don't like the google assistant for voice commands and I feel so comfortable when I'm driving and using the talk to waze. The talk to waze understanding me better than google assistant. i don't understand why they are remove this feature from waze. If they are will not release it back, then I will remove the waze application from my phone and use another application than waze

Waze voice search worked excellent in Hebrew, and Google assistant that replaced it doesn't work well. Why to degrade the quality of the Waze, the best navigation program I've ever seen?

It was so much easier and less distracting to talk to waze instead of pushing the microphone on a bumpy road

Please add the "OK Waze" voice feature again for hands-free driving options when making a report.

I was wondering what exactly is the reason behind why you guys took out the okay Waze command feature? This app sucks I barely use it anymore because you can't even report anything as easily and I don't want to turn on my Google Assistant
