I agree with everybody else! Particularly when you're driving and realise the voice you chose sounds unpleasant to you you can't go through all the options!
I would like to choose the voice before I leave and be comfortable with it!
That can't be a big thing to add as a feature?

Please add a voice preview with a sample for the different choices withoit having to drive first. That is a simple addition to an App and better for the environment.

Was trying to pick and choose what voice I wanted to use for my navigation, was very disappointed to discover you do not support that option by which I mean when I select a voice I'm picking it blindly y'all offer no sample of the audio I would like the feature to when I choose a voice to hear a clip of that voice

It's ridiculous that i have you be driving to test out a voice. From so many to choose from... when it should have a sample button.

Wow, even after another 3 years, its stil not something you want to do. How hard can this simple user interface improvement be? How bad is it at this company that you can't even do this? Your product is around 15 years old and you never managed to do this simple thing. Truly absolutely pathetic. What do you even do all day?

Mike Minotti, Dan Rykert, Jeff Gerstmann, Jan Ochoa (Giantbomb podcast annd the Jeff Gerstmann show) and anyone from the cast of the Besties should be a voice in Waze.

You need to play a sample of the voice when selected.

What food does it do to have all these voices if you cannot preview them?

In December 2022 you said this would happen in the near future. It’s late September 2025, and you’ve done NOTHING. This is ridiculous.

Come on, Waze! This should be a given! I want to hear the voice options without starting a route. This has been a major complaint for YEARS!

In the "Voice and Sound" settings section, alongside the volume level sliders, add a button "Play test sound".
WHEN THE USER pushes that button, an audio message should be played, in the 100%-exact conditions (selected voice, adjusted volume, selected speaker) in which driving directions/warning would be played.
This way the user would know EXACTLY how Waze would sound (selected voice, adjusted volume, selected speaker) during driving, but can safely do this while NOT actually driving.
(This function already exists in google maps.)

guys, you can't drop 200 english voices and tell - no preview, start navigation for each one to hear it. This is not serious answer 3 years after the request!

For lack of budget or lack of resources?

Please make it so you can preview the voices before committing to it. Something as simple as you clicking a play button next to the voice and it says a few phrases like turn left, turn right, heavy traffic ahead. There are so many voices and it’s impossible to test them all.

As has been posted before - all other navigation apps have this feature, including specific navigation devices, so how hard can this be to implement.

I have been using waze with Natalie's voice pack for more than 10 years already, but her voice pack does not contain this voice ->"make a U turn", can waze add this voice
command to natalie's voice pack?
