Enable the Waze app to turn fully upside-down on the iPhone X. Waze can turn upside-down on all other iPhones except the iPhone X. I think it has something to do with the 'notch' but that should be an easy fix by moving the bottom bar to the side when turned upside-down, or move the bottom bar up a little bit.

On Apple devices the map will flip all the way up side down to allow a charger to be plugged in. I wonder why this is not the case for Android devices??

Samsung note 4 here, I need this feature as well for the exact same reason. Google maps does this perfectly but waze does not. Simple easy fix, please do it soon!

This will not confuse sensors, unless perhaps you have a cheap crap phone but every phone I've used knows exactly which way it's facing and rotates screen accordingly.

That's an Android limitation. Check out XDA forums for solutions.

As an avid Waze user, I just recently found with my new Samsung J7 an issue which I believe a fix is needed. I have the head phone plug at the base alongside the charger input and when using Waze, and trying to place it in my holder or in my cup holder it becomes very difficult with both inputs being utilized. I tried turning my phone upside down, thinking that Waze would self orientate, but it doesn't, it just goes to landscape. My wife's google maps does self orientates if she turns her phone to an upside down position, so I believe this would be a great feature to add.

Many cell phones, e.g. LG, are connected to the car charger on the bottom. If you put in a cup holder while driving, its best with the charger cord on the top. While doing that, the Waze is sideways. Can Waze be programed such that when phone is upside down, the image flips to be easily readable?

Add posibility to rotate screan to reflect normaly in windshield. ( Head-up display functionality)

My phone can flick between Port / Land when driving down a rough road, this is VERY confusing.
Anyone who had used the system will have made this observation surely ???

I'd like to rest my mobile device upside down to avoid stressing the usb connector, but the screen will not rotate. I'd also like at times to see a landscape view.

Any chance to have a toggle button or option in menu for locking (or releasing) screen rotation ?
While riding my bike, Waze has some strange behaviors (random roation, 180°, 90°...) when accelerating or braking !
