Different profiles / different vehicles
It would be useful to be able to choose between different "profiles" by changing the type of vehicle. I for example move both by motorcycle and car, in motorcycle I can access the ztl - area c of Milan while in car I can't, in car I do the highways in motorcycle I try to avoid them, the type of driving changes depending on the vehicle and having to go each time in settings and change the ZTL permits and preferences (in addition to the roads suggested by Waze) is cumbersome, it would be nice if it was possible to…

Add public transportation in app for users to choose as their vehicle type to match available restriction settings in WME.
In WME we have: Private, Electric, Motorcycle, Public transportation, Taxi.
In the app we have: Private, Taxi, Motorcycle (+ EV in a different menu)Main use case would be for unscheduled buses, such as tour buses, school buses, private hire buses, etc. that are not really “public transport”, but are allowed to use bus-only roads and turns.
Local authorities can define bus+taxi or just bus restrictions for turns and streets. We can map this correctly in WME, but then users don’t have an option that would route them through public transport only areas.5 votes -
Avoid road
While following a itinerary, have a option inside the “report” button called “my road” which bring back the current map but let you “highlight” with your finger a road you want to avoid, is the option just for this trip, for similar trip, or similar time, or always.
When making a new itinerary the system will then ask “this include the road you want to avoid, do you want to include it ?”5 votes -

Straighter/easier routes setting
There should be a way to set a preference for straighter/easier routes. Often, Waze suggests a route with a bunch of turns down small side streets or a really curvy road just to save one minute on a 20-minute drive when there was a more direct route such as a main road or highway. With this preference enabled, Waze would default to a route with a slightly longer duration that is much simpler and requires fewer turns.

Ciclismo

Traffic ahead, would you like to reroute
Currently, when there is an alert given "amount of time in traffic, x minutes." once you're already in the traffic. It would be nice if that alert was given sooner AND provide the opportunity to re-route. For example, "traffic ahead will add x minutes to your trip. Would you like to re-route around the traffic?"

Toll
I wish that there's an onscreen button to turn On/Off "Avoid Tolls" for easy access. So that I'll never need to go to Settings every trip to turn it On/Off. And so that I'll have additional route options.

Waze NEEDS "Bread Crumbs".
One thing waze should have is "Bread Crumbs". I miss this feature on my old Garmin units. It basically leaves a dotted trail behind your path so you can easily find your way back without having to enter a new destination.

show public transportation routes
We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion, where…5 votes -

Make option to avoid international borders
Drove from Boston to Michigan and the app continuously tried rerouting us through Canada to save time! Please add an option to avoid international borders so we don't have to worry about being sent through another country if traffic builds ahead.

Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night
Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night on a two-lane road, 65 mph during the day on a two-lane road, and a maximum of 70 mph for any road. I would like to be able to put this in settings, so that Waze can come up with a better route and ETA for me. I do not like being sent down two-lane roads at night going 55 mph when I could be going down a highway at 67 mph, and could…

Plan a drive
I like the plan a drive option. I wish you could add more locations to a plan a drive. Basically make a full trip from start to finish and add all the location you want to stop at.

Plan your own trip
It would be nice if we were able to plan our own trip, by that I mean, you want to go to A from home but want to go via XYZ and not the routes you give us. Example: Home to Sudbury, Suffolk Via XY and Z ( Bibury )

It would be very helpful if there was an option to show roads that don’t allow pulling trailers
Waze does not give an option to show or redirect when you’re pulling a trailer. Some roads such as the Merritt Parkway don’t allow trailers. Sometimes we trailer motorcycles going south from Ct.

"personal speed limit"
Personaly set speed limit :
Having a "personaly set speed limit" feature that could be set for a given trip planning, independantly from the speed figures of the drives taken in the past (i.e unlike the already existing Personalized ETA feature) would allow to get planning results corresponding to one's own speed limit decisions, whether they be for EV range optimisation, trailer towing, vehicle capabilities, fuel efficiency on combustion engine vehicles, or other reasons... That would actually also allow to see what is the time cost of "taking it easy".4 votes -
Allow the user to keep the route from changing
Tonight I was driving home with family during the season’s biggest rain storm. Initially Waze set a good route across major freeways that are relatively safe in the rain. Then it suggested a re-route across a windy mountain road (Angeles Crest Highway) instead of the major freeway in order to save only about 2 minutes. Of course I hit No. It kept suggesting other re-routes as well, including driving across older freeways through downtown LA that are prone to flooding, and I hit No again. Each time it would barely save any time to do such re-route. But it would…
