View map on mobile to select point on map, law enforcement
Similar to Google Maps interface, in which I can pin a point on the mobile app and start navigation on Android Auto. I frequently use Waze to safely navigate to reported accidents, debris and disabled vehicles. Waze reports are significantly more location-accurate than my dispatcher saying "Respond to the area of Exit 45 for a crash." Before the last update, I could force stop Waze on my phone, reopen the app to the map, pin a location next to the incident and start navigation, then reopen the app on Android Auto to navigate. Airport interactive app
Love your map. And Im great at telling other people what to do. Most people panic about how early to get to an airport. What about an interactive app for people to report how busy the airport is. Each terminal, each airline. Lines long or short? Long term parking at x is wide open. Come in from thw east cuz west is backed up. I know you get the idea. Do me a favor and start with Sky Harbor. Lol

Lock the route
Once WAZE sets the initial route, let me press a button to lock the directions so they don't change while I'm en route. Often if I'm driving on a freeway (in LA) I will get random instructions to "make a U-turn (on the 405?)" or to turn on some surface street. I assume its because the app is re-calculating as I go or doesn't recognize that I did take the correct off-ramp, but these unnecessary commands are distracting and its hard to tell which are valid and which are not. Temporary Speed Limits for Road Works
I would like to suggest adding functionality to Waze that supports temporary speed limits on road segments affected by road works. This would work similarly to the current "Closures" feature in the Waze Map Editor (WME).
Reason for Request:
This summer, we have received numerous reports from drivers through the mobile app, indicating incorrect speed limits displayed on roads under construction. Mixed routing strategy (Fastest, shortest, economical,... and others to come)
The "best" route is often a matter of personnal compromise.
It's often a mix of fastest, shortest, and more and more road cost / fuel economy.
I suggest we add a "Mixed" routing strategy, that could follow our preferences.We could think of a system starting with 100 points that the user would share among the different "strategies" of routing.
For instance, one could set :
* Fastest : 50 points
* Shortest : 30 points
* Economy : 20 points.That has the big advantage to allow other routing strategy for future.

[Feature Request] Moving Lane Guidance (See Example)
It would be nice if we could have moving lane guidance to make things a little clearer.
Waze is sometimes too slow or unclear/confusing to give me a direction on the road, causing me to miss a turn.
TomTom Go does this exceptionally well and I would love to see this implemented in Waze.

Like the new look, but: 1. Streets look too wide, they look like they've been skeched with a thick marker by a 5 year old. G-maps has a much cleaner look. 2. The zoom-in distance is too high, street names outside route are not visible, also street names are not very visible even without navigating.3. Change the algorithm from pushing you back to the original route, when deviating from it, to a new, freshly calculated best option.
Example: today, I took a bit of a detour, and followed a different route to work. Waze kept pushing me back to the originally calculated, regardless of the fact that I am already almost at my destination. (Finally it switched to a new, logical route from that point, and travel time shortened to 10 minutes from 40.)
This is not helpful. Currently, if I want to check if there are better options from the one which is being persistently suggested for a long time despite changed circumstances, I am forced to start a close Waze, open, cancel the popped up…1 vote -
Concentrating on driving mode
Hi
I would like you to add an opening window which will ask me if I want to disconnect from texting apps while driving before I start driving with waze.
Lately we are witnessing too many car accdidents that happen because of texting while driving..
I would like to drive only with wasze working and having the opportunity to answer important phone calls with out texting.
I don't want to see the text messages popping in my phone while driving with waze

Instead of "turn left in X feet", how about just saying something more like "take the next left"
Instead of focusing directions on distance when approaching a turn, treat the turns more like your roundabout directions. It's more natural to give directions such as: "take the next right" or "go left at the light" rather than "turn in 500 feet" or go right on Main Street (especially if the street sign isn't easiy to see).

The inability to repeat directions is a major flaw of Waze.
A button for repeating directions is critical. Please revise the software.

Allow two planned trips as segments of a two day drive.
Currently, when I begin and the second planned drive's destination, Waze gets stuck in a loop showing the messages "Route too long. Recalculating with new arrival day." and "Please wait." It never stops nor allows me to set the second planned drive start (to the destination of the first planned drive). Allow setting start location of a (second/subsequent) planned drive.

Share route from car screen
Add a button on the car screen to share route with a pre-selected favorite contact.
I only share route with my wife, but I do this everyday. Currently I must start and share the route on my phone before Android Auto connects to the car wirelessly. A simple button to share to one contact using one app (eg: Whatsapp) would be very useful.

Improvement needed
I was checking out waze and I was really impressed... I felt like the waze experience was incomplete without a proper feedback. Hence I decided to give you guys a few suggestions on it: 1) Pls include downloading of maps of a certain area or preferably offline caching of Entire maps. 2) I noticed that initially the direction of the heading was wrong 4 out of 5 times, thus why not included an optional magnetic correction as it will definitely remove this error.

I have an idea that will revolutionize navigation in cities and significantly benefit Waze users - predictive traffic light data.
By leveraging real-time GPS data from our massive user base, our app can start predicting traffic light patterns at intersections. Using algorithms to analyze when cars stop and start at lights, we can gradually build models mapping out sequences and wait times for traffic signals across entire cities.
This would enable sending users notifications in advance whether they are likely to hit the next green or red light. They can adjust speed accordingly, eliminating unnecessary braking and idling. The benefits…

Vibration-only alerts for passengers
It would be nice to have vibration-only alerts for directions, to be used by a passenger. I am often in the passenger seat and reading out the turns to the driver, but sometimes I get distracted and miss the turn. The sounds are distracting, but it would be helpful if the app would just buzz the phone shortly before the turns.

Wrong indication on navigation screen of my Skoda kodiak
AT each roundabout, a U turn IS shown on the navigation screen of my Skoda kodiak (not the Android multimedia screen) whereas the direction is to go straight forward. This problem doesn't exist with Google maps. I wish I could send photos to illustrate the problem

Add a feature that allows the app to automatically start when driving. A feature similar to spotify that starts music whenever it connects to the Bluetooth in my car.
