Vibration-only alerts for passengers
It would be nice to have vibration-only alerts for directions, to be used by a passenger. I am often in the passenger seat and reading out the turns to the driver, but sometimes I get distracted and miss the turn. The sounds are distracting, but it would be helpful if the app would just buzz the phone shortly before the turns.

Report dangerous traffic light / intersection
You used to have the option to report a missing traffic sign or a dangerous traffic light or intersection. Anyway this option has gone missing from the hazard report.
Please bring it back! There are lots of roads (especially in Israel) where the traffic light is almost unnoticeable and it it super dangerous!!!
I had an accident today because of that :(
If the waze voice warns before entering a known dangerous intersection then automatically the driver is more couscous and alert and less speedy.
Please add an option to report it.

show nearest petrol station prices as alerts
The way that you alert could be used to provide proximity alerts that show the nearest fuel/petrol station and the prices. This could be an option that is configured for those that want the alert (on) and those that do not want it shown (off).
A much easier way to update the price would be welcome e.g. use the front facing camera to recognize the prices and translate to an auto update would be cool.1 voteThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

One Lane Bridge Alerts
It would be great to have a warning when approaching a one lane bridge, given that it's an important time to slow down and be prepared to stop. By one lane bridge, I mean a bridge with one lane that is shared be the traffic going in either direction (https://www.nzta.govt.nz/roadcode/general-road-code/road-code/about-driving/giving-way/giving-way-on-one-lane-bridges/).
Generally one direction gets the right of way, so it would also be handy to have that included in the warning.

Stop navigation once you're "close enough" to the destination
Waze should have an option where it stops trying to re-route once you're close to the destination, especially when it is not possible to actually drive to the exact entry point for whatever reason.
Context:
I've got someone who has brought up routing issues to their destination a few times, and at least two or three local editors have made various changes. They now again have been saying that once they arrive, Waze wants them to exit the parking lot again, and make a huge detour just to return again to where they are already located.

Route by average speed
Sometimes the app suggests a route with a shorter total time, but with a much greater distance than the other options. For example: 5 minutes less with 10km more. Therefore, I suggest showing the average speed (Distance/Time) of each option.

Automaticly generated "Many accidents happened here" icon
Saving the "Acceident alert" history can be used to generate "This crossing had many acceidents - be carefull" icon. It can be just a "yellow/orange/red/purple" dot or /!\ sign on the map near the road.
I recomand that no more then 10 such icons will be shown on the map at the same time, and only along the path used.It is based on existing data, and no editing is needed.

Event alerts-"On Route" as a default
I am tired of seeing like 22 event alerts (cops, traffic, etc.) while driving my inputed route. when I hit the red exclamation mark it takes me to them and then I can select "On Route" to find out which one's only apply to the way I'm going...why not make the "On Route" button the default instead of "Around Me"???

user provided layout themes
There are various requests for features of what Waze should/should not display on screen. It would be great if users could instead of just choosing a style, actually choose a (or create) a layout that another user has selected.
Best option would be to provide the ablity to give shapes, and areas that can contain text. Eg.
- Current speed (can then increase/decrease the speed display)
- Average wazer speed on the current segment (so the potential speed limits could be shown)
- Current road name
- Text/images for popups
- Destination ETA
- Destination time
- Destination name

WAZE as my vehicle advisor
I would like a feature to upload my car (type, make, year, model, etc.) and so could collect my daily mileage. Then WAZE (after xx miles) could alert me about changing my brakes, renew tires, oil, etc. as well presenting me promotions from near/path services that we all forget at the right time.
As well recommending new cars offers (same or alternative make) or insurances, accesories, detailing, etc.
A whole automotive world is there, and WAZE can be the best interface to interact with it.

improve Speeding Alerts
Could the speed indicator be improved in this way: Right now, the speeding icon stays white up to the speed limit, then as soon as 1 mph over, it goes red. I have my alert threshold set to 10% over the speed limit. I would prefer if the speeding icon does not go red until that 10% overage is exceeded. Otherwise the icon would be red most of the time, as most people drive a few mph over the speed limit. And having it red most of the time defeats the warning. It only needs to go red when speeding…

Weather for Jeeps and Convertibles
I'd like to be able to set preferences for what weather I'd like the top down on my jeep for. If my entire route will experience that weather, with little or no chance for rain, Waze should send an alert suggesting that I "ride to work with the top down"

Add option to alert to "Opposite Side" police reports
In most areas, even police with bumper-mounted radar heads can measure speed in different directions and differentiate between targets, and many departments (most, these days) equip front and rear emittors which work simultaneously. Unless this feature is exclusively to be used for situations where the threat is on the other side of a concrete barrier where there is no nearby onramp or turnaround, it makes no sense not to at least have the option to enable such alerts.

Import live Ka and Laser alerts from Escort Live and Valentine One
While Waze is doing a spectacular job at keeping the users informed of the surrounding through alerts reported by fellow commuters, it does not have a feature to report Radar or Laser threats. Escort Live automatically reports Ka radar and laser alerts through the connected Escort and Beltronics radar detectors. Similarly, YaV1 app reports alerts through V1 detector.
It would be awesome if Waze can tap into these apps and provide wazers with these Ka/Laser alerts. This way, wazers would be more aware of exactly where and when a traffic enforcement officer is trying to catch…

Audio alerts for speed and red light cameras
My audio alerts for speed and red light cameras stopped working a few months ago. I'm running waze directly on my phone (Google pixel 7) with the latest version of Android OS and waze app installed. My settings for alerts are correct. I see the flashing camera on the map and text alert on the screen but audio alerts are not working. I live in NYC where cameras are on every other block. Constantly monitoring the phone screen for visual alerts while driving is annoying and dangerous. I see lots of similar posts with replies from…

Taxi meter
I would be happy if you can integrate in your application one ficher of a taxi meter. You have the date time and distance only thing you need to add is the beginning of the meter by the country and Day & Night. I use taxis a lot, and I would love to know what the price of the trip before I go in a taxi, especially abroad.

Miss the road alerts!
The road alerts are no longer showing what they are it just shares a grouped number - “6 road alerts” ahead. In the past you could review exactly what each alert / hazard was. Please bring it back it was extremely helpful in planning my drive and looking for alternative routes. Thanks!

There needs to be more granularity on audio alert volume
Someone else said “Audio alerts without voice guidance”, but that’s only half, and actually, exactly opposite of what I’d like.
If there was separate volume slider for “Voice Guidance” and “Audio Alerts”, that would cover all bases.
My situation is different than the other suggestion - When i’m on my 3 hour commute, there are SO MANY VEHICLES ON SIDE OF THE ROAD that my podcasts get interrupted every 3 miles.
But because it’s 40 miles on one freeway, 35 miles on another, 45 on a third, and 30 on a fourth, i’ve zoned out and missed my…

Updated alternate route feature.
My account has been selected to use the updated alternate route feature.
Based on my experience, the UX/UI of the previous version is much better than the latest, I can easily compare the 3 routes on 1 page, but the updated alternative routes features require scrolling to do the comparison, I will need to remember the routes, total distance, arrival time before scrolling to the 2nd and 3rd route options for comparison and this defeat the purpose of the update?
Sorry to say that I don't see the benefit of this updated alternate route option.
