Reduce the excessive frequency of too many warnings on the same stretch of road
Waze = Good morning.
I would kindly like to suggest an implementation of functions, regarding voice warnings, as they are truly TOO MANY and TOO FREQUENT on the same stretch of road! Very repetitive indeed, and so distracting!
In fact, constantly hearing the voice assistant that in a verbose way warns you every 200 meters, instead of just once, or at most twice, no longer makes you pay attention to any turns or changes.We couldn't even talk to each other in the car anymore, with that continuous non-stop voice every two minutes! Error/ommision within your Reporting functionality..
Latest Waze update on Android Auto. Reporting functionality. Okay, so you've changed 'Report car stopped' to 'Report VEHICLE stopped, which makes more sense BUT..
Where as before one could report Car stopped on road OR Car stopped on shoulder, but now one can only report Vehicle stopped on SHOULDER! (There is NO ability to report Vehicle stopped on ROAD (which is more important than a vehicle stopped on shoulder).
This is so with Android Auto, in my Astra.

police alert when they take pictures from a bridge
In my country we have police officers standing on bridges and take photos of ppl on their phones while driving.
An option to report and alert other drivers will make the driver stop being on their phone faster.2 votes -

Please improve the notification management for andoid auto. I would like to hear only some alerts, not all, and be able to manage the sound level.

"We have a shorter way" - Option available "Okay"
I intentionally choose NO TOLLS when I travel. It is less expensive and usually a more scenic route. I have been having trouble that the We have a shorter way pops up and I don't want to choose Okay because I already have the route I want so I ignore thinking that must default to keep as I'm going.
Seems it does it anyway because all of a sudden I'm on toll roads. I think you should have a yes or no option.

Ads too small to see while driving
Whenever I stop, an ad pops up on Waze. Of course I don’t want ads, but if you are going to do them make them much simpler and larger so the driver can read them. They are crowded with content and tiny which make them useless.

Good navigation only, do not patronize your users
Please stop showing messages and alerts saying things like “turn on your headlights” or “ drive with attention, requiring users to press OK” User are not children that need to be raised. Just keep on giving us excellent navigation, nothing else. Come on WAZE, you can do it

Option Police

Do not turn the map before you have actually turned.
Currently, when you arrive at a crossroads, the map turns as soon as you stop. If you are not looking at the screen, you will make a mistake. The same thing happens at small roundabouts. The vehicle could almost go straight ahead, but the map turns for no good reason.

Add option to "stop re-routing" once travel has begun, unless I deviate from it.
If you are like me, and like to review your route and prepare for it, especially in an unfamiliar place, sudden route changes that can save you 5 minutes can cause more trouble than it's worth. Let's add an option to "lock route" once you chose it and start driving, and don't recommend a quicker one unless I deviate from the preset route. This keeps you more comfortable on the route you have prepared for, so you don't have to worry about sudden changes in unfamiliar territory.

Disable Carplay notifications
I want an option to turn off Waze carplay notifications for next turn because they block UI of other apps like Spotify controls.
Also when you are stopped just before the turn the same turn notification pops continuously and this needs to be fixed as it blocks interfaces.

Map & Command more like Google!
PLEASE READ & VOTE!!
Instead of “Turn right / left in .1 miles” (esp. for in-town and city driving) change to Google-like commands (e.g.- “At the next light / stop sign, turn right/left) and SHOW Device - light or sign at corners - on the map, as such - sign or light).
Doing so also helps to know HOW MANY lights or signs remain between you and your next turn.
It’s impractical to watch your mileage in these conditions. It’s more “natural” - as when someone is telling you directions in the passenger seat - to look for the next…3 votes -

i want to use toll roads but i want to be able to block some of them because they are theif. please add option to avoid 1 toll road but use the other. please stop taking me to a toll road i hate to use.

No menu/No Nav – Allow use of Menu below 5mph and when stopped
Love you guys … but … the latest update … not so much.
Catch 22. My Android Auto doesn't startup Waze until I am moving forward and by that time the Waze Menu option is (now) no longer available. I then ask Waze to “Navigate to Home” and Waze responds with my Home address (BTW it is also saved), states “Oklahoma” (not “OK”) and then returns to “non-navigation”/map display mode. I also can’t get to the saved addresses. So overall, Waze mapping efficiency has dropped significantly.
So whereas it used to be (2022) a simple “3-second button press sequence”; 1)…

When listening to music thru Waze…. When you stop, the music window minimizes, and the ad pops up….. however, when you start driving again, the ad window minimizes…. But that’s it! Can we make the MUSIC WINDOW pop back up when we start moving again?

If possible, it would be interesting to add a marker to the screen informing how many km have already been travelled, with the option of resetting the marker when the car is refueled, for example. New alerts/reports
You should add some a like new report that an ambulance is stopped ahead, Hurricane/Earthquakes alerts also while driving because they might notice the earthquake or a big rain is oncoming, also add a anti-autoclicker because some Waxers uses them as points as possible.

Even better traffic diversion/lets make detours easier.
