Driver Safety Points: auto-reply to texts, speaker/bluetooth calls only, and speeding alerts.
It would be great if, when you signed into Waze, you were prompted to click on Driver or Passenger. If you are the driver, Waze puts the phone into drive mode, and it either auto-replies to texts with one of five pre-set messages (set up in settings), or it becomes completely voice activated, so it reads your incoming text aloud and allows you to respond via voice only (also set in settings per driver preference). Improve the Android Automotive version.
I would like the Waze version for Android Automotive to be as good as the mobile version, in addition to adding some options that are necessary while driving.
1-In the Android Automotive version, the radar alerts do not emit any sound, making it completely useless, as you won't be looking at the screen continuously while driving.
Moreover, the other alerts only emit a notification sound, and when it sounds, you have to look at the screen to know what danger is approaching, diverting your attention from the road.

recycling Feature
Dear Waze, I am a sixth grader at Spring Creek Elementary in Dallas, Texas. My robotics team and I are working on our project for the First Lego League City Shaper season. The goal of the project this season is to somehow improve our city. We are acknowledging that the world is having a hard time recycling. Low clearance feature
There should be a feature that allows you to select routes for oversized trucks- tractor trailers keep getting stuck in the sumner tunnel or moving trucks on storrow drive all the time!! This is Boston MA but I’m sure other places could benefit too

Set final the destiny in behalf of another user who is driving
My wife was driving and she could not change the place where I would like to meet her. My suggestion is to allow people within agenda set the final destiny in behalf of the user who is unable to change the destiny.

I would love to have a transparent overlay letting me know what area or community I'm driving through.
I live in L.A. and it would certainly be nice to see a light-toned overlay telling me what area I am driving through (e.g. "Echo Park," "Silverlake," "Sparr Heights."

Sunglare warning
Every morning, there are so many unnecessary accidents and traffic delays because people don't know how to put on sunglasses in the morning. Having a sunglare warning...and one that tells people to wear their sunglasses...might help...so people don't seemed shocked when they come around a curve and the sun is in their face again. Makes driving to work so frustrating when people seemed shocked every time. Please please please add a Sunglare Weather Hazard soon.

Bridge out
I was driving in an area where a bridge was out and under construction. The construction was showing up but there was no way to tell it that it was closed and for the navigation to use a different route. It kept trying to send me over the bridge. I tried several different ways to get the closure to show up.

Mark roads/routes safe for women travelling alone
I usually drive alone and as a woman travelling solo there have been some roads on which I have been somehow scared due to their lack of illumination/population nearby. I was wondering if you have ever thought about adding a feature that would flag roads safe for women travelling alone. For me, I would definitely feel safer knowing that the route is well lit/populated/does not go through dangerous neighborhoods and I wouldn't mind if it's not the shortest or quickest route as long as I feel safe. Stop search results from auto-updating too quickly while driving
Whenever I'm driving, using Android Auto and search for gas stations under the categories option, I'm really only able to view the first and second results. There are more results that are presented that I can scroll down to. However, after about a second or less, the results update and scroll back up to the top of the list. This only started happening in the last year or so. It used to work where you could scroll down through the results while in motion but this no longer works. Navigation Option: No notifications for a specified radius from home (Do I need turn directions to get out of my neighborhood?)
Allow a user defined radius where turn by turn instructions are not announce for areas familiar to the driver, i.e. driving out of their neighborhood or the route to the interstate. Allow warnings and alerts to be announced so driver may decide to reroute.

Display should change from bright to dark mode while driving through an tunnel
The waze app should change from bright to dark mode while driving through an tunnel.
Waze maps should know if the actual position is in an tunnel (calculated by the route as the is no position in tunnels) and when driving in an tunnel the display should change. After leaving the tunnel the screen should change back to bright mode, if bright miy was active before the tunnel and it bright mode should not be activated at this time (in regards the the configuration to change to dark mode automatically).

Support vans
Please please support speed limits for vans and give the option to drive to commercial vehicles speeds (VANS)
It really will help A LOT OF VAN DRIVERS in keeping to the different speed limits. It’s a great app but make it better by adding this feature.8 votes -
Help calculate ETA based on passive speeds of fellow Wazers
I'm not sure if it's already exists or not... But I'm wondering how calculations are done in terms of "estimated times of arrival"?
Is Waze passively tracking and analyzing the speed data from other Wazers while driving?
For instance, if everyone on the highway is doing 75 or 80 miles an hour ahead of you, Waze should be able to use those analytics to create a more accurate ETA.
Instead, I often find myself driving and arriving sooner than the ETA because traffic dictates driving a bit faster so as not to be unsafe.

Bring back events/sweets
I’ve been using waze from the start, creating roads etc but one thing I don’t see anymore since returning to waze is the sweet collection events. Always helped pass the time while driving about all day and getting a boost to your score. I liked unlocking milestones too and they need a refresh. Can this be done?

User Reporting - initial and more details
Add an option to email reporting user for more details when creating the report. The long press on report currently gives options for Police, Hazard and Traffic. My suggestion is to add one for 'email me' where the user can provide full details when they are not driving. Navigating to the Report, finding the correct option, before finding the Later option is not safe when you driving.
As editors, there are a lot of reports with minimal detail. Posting a request for the submitter to provide more details rarely gets a response.

Seperate speed limit warning for each vehicle type
Hi Waze team,
I have used Waze while driving motorcycle. But in my opinion, it would be good if we can separate the speed limit for each vehicle type because the speed limit may be different with cars on some roads. Maybe it's a good development route for supporting another type of vehicle like truck for example8 votes
