WME should indicate when a segment end overlaps but is not connected
Firstly, take a look at this image:
As per the screenshot, these segments are NOT connected but it looks like they are. It should be obvious in WME when segment ends are close but not connected. In this screenshot, the little dot on the green segment looks like there's a junction node there, but in reality, there is not.
Please make it clear that segments aren't connected when they probably should be.

WME Client simulator
With each additional functionality on WME (Paths / Far-Lanes / Jubra / Junction box / lanes / ....) gets increasingly difficult to map. This makes it more likely that us map editores will make some kind of mistake or don’t take something into consideration. Having a way to preview the changes before they are live on the map will made both editors and client less frustrated, with a more accurate map.

Associate permanent hazards with a path
When using permanent hazards, they sometimes only apply to some of the traffic on a give segment. An example would be a freeway segment where oncoming traffic from one ramp, and exiting traffic from the freeway merge on a specific segment between on and off ramps. If we add the multiple lanes merging hazard, it will alert for both groups but also all traffic that continues on the freeway even though it does not impact them. Instead, I have it mapped on the on-ramp but not for exiting traffic to alert to this often challenging merge zone. Add “Pedestrian Crossing Zone” Warning in WME Map Editor
💡 Idea Description:
I suggest adding a new warning option in the WME Map Editor named “Pedestrian Crossing Zone” to be used in areas with frequent pedestrian movement, such as:
Local markets and shopping centers
Hospitals and medical facilities
Schools and universities
Parks and recreational areas
In reality, there are visible pedestrian crossing signs in these places, but this warning option does not currently exist in WME. As a result, drivers are not alerted to slow down or pay attention to crossing pedestrians in these locations.
🚗 Importance of the Suggestion:
Adding this warning will help drivers to:
Reduce speed…

Show Permanent Hazard edit count on the editor profile page
Currently the editor profile page has the House Number edit count listed twice - the duplicate could be replaced with a total count of edits received from editing all Permanent Hazards. There are lots of hazard types now and editors would enjoy knowing the impact they are making by mapping them!

Map Problems: Detect overlapping segments
It is very difficult to identify two segments with the same elevation that are overlapping but not connected. Until you click them, you don't realise that they are not connected.
This can leads to routing issues and are not identified until there is a UR or by an editor (mostly by chance).
The Checker tool helps identifying these, but it would be really nice if the overlapping segments could be natively flagged by Waze and surfaced as MPs (Map Problems).

WME issues filter
Part of the daily work of map editors is to delete old URs via WME issues filter that have no activity.
Currently there is no way to filter URs older than N days and the only way to filter is to filter from date to date. This requires defining new dates each time and filtering cannot be saved.
The suggestion is to add a filter of "older than N days"22 votes -
Display summary of saved changes for all hazards in WME
In the current state when adding, modifying or removing any hazards (i.e. cameras, railway crossings, sharp curves, speed bumps, complex intersections, multiple lanes merging, toll booths, school zones and traffic lights) in WME, these edits show as pending changes when hovering over the save button.
However, after pressing the save button, the summary of saved changes does not show a summary of hazards added, modified or removed. It only says "saved".
I am suggesting to provide a list of changes made after pressing the saved button in WME.

Suggest an Edit - Accept/Reject to be rank locked by country
We noticed an issue recently where an L2 approved a few suggest an edit of his friend who was L1. While all work was good, I did not know that an L2 could approve suggested edits.
I would like to suggest that this be locked to either
a) Area manager as the minimum requirement as community have given these people an area
OR
b) Lock by country by level (Example India L3 and above can accept or reject a suggestion)16 votes -
POI statistics
Hello. It would be a great help and of interest to every community to have click statistics for POIs (points of interest). This would allow for greater attention and care when managing them, and even enable a specific lock level for a given POI based on its search popularity or click rate.

Ability to hide or move individually each native issue tracker filter
Please provide the ability to hide or move down the list, individually, each WME provided Issue Tracker filter.
WME has 4 supplied Issue Tracker filters
All issues
Starred
Unread
Actionable URsThis request is for WME to have a Hide button next to each filter tracker so that we could hide it in the drop down list. Alternately, please provide us with the ability to move these filters down the list.
For those of us who have created custom filters, we may want those filters at the top of the list (especially if we have many filters) so we want…

Drawing Major Event Polygon should not select Hazards and cease drawing
While drawing a major event polygon (specific area) should you click near a hazard the polygon drawing stops and you need to start from scratch. Polygons are complex and having to start from scratch is time consuming and frustrating. Drawing other polygons such as Place area or Map Note allows you to continue to draw a polygon.
Hazards are increasing particularly with traffic lights and this issue frequently occurs. You shouldn't need to turn of map layers to simply draw an event polygon.Video here of showing behaviour when drawing a event polygon vs map note or area place.

Choosing the Route Type (Economic, Fast, or Safe)
Today, navigation primarily prioritizes the shortest estimated travel time, but the fastest option isn't always the most suitable for the moment.
Each driver has different needs depending on the time of day, context, and purpose of the trip.
Proposal:
Allow the user to choose the route type before starting navigation:
1- Fast Route (default)
Total focus on the shortest estimated time. Maintains the current model.
2- Economy Route
Prioritizes constant flow. Reduces "stop and go". May suggest avoiding tolls. Ideal for long trips or cost reduction.
3- Safe Route
Prioritizes avenues and main roads. Avoids back streets and low-traffic areas.…

School Zone excluded segment ID option
Currently, we can exclude based on road types, which in most cases is sufficient. However, there are times that we may need to exclude a segment that is the same road type in the school zone because of cross traffic.
For example, in the image below, the school zone is on a mH. I can exclude the FWY with no concerns, but the 2 yellow arrows point out some mH segments that I can't currently exclude. The issue is that if I am driving either of those routes, I will get a School Zone alert, and eventually a reduced SL,…

Change the color of point Map Notes
Point map notes are practically invisible a majority of the time because small white circles easily disappear in aerial imagery. Any bright color other than white would be a better choice for point map notes.

schedulerEnable Use of Community Schedule for Road Restrictions in WME
Currently, in the Waze Map Editor (WME), road restrictions (TBR) must be managed manually. I’d like to propose integrating the ability to use community-created schedule — already available for school zones — to automatically apply restrictions based on dates, times, or days of the week.
This improvement would:
Reduce manual workload for editors
Increase restriction accuracy (e.g., roads closed only on Saturdays, during recurring events, or excluding public holidays)
Thank you for considering this request16 votes -
Issue Tracker support for .wkt "Specific area"
The Issue Tracker allows for specifying a scan area with 3 options - Map area, Managed area or Specific area. Adding the ability to provide a .wkt (Well-Known Text) file containing a POLYGON to the Specific area section would be very useful.

Update 'Actionable URs' filter
Update the logic of the 'Actionable URs' filter to show all actionable URs regardless of the number of consecutive comments left by the reporter. The UR should remain in the "Actionable" feed as long as an editor has not yet responded

None as default for street and city in new segments
Submitted on behalf of the IL community: Why isn't a default value of "no street", "no city" entered in the address field of a new segment? New editors don't always fill out the address field and it remains "no address", creating a need to contact them and explain to them how to choose "no" for the street name.
