Issue Tracker: better filtering of Map Suggestions
In the issue tracker, we can filter Map Suggestions by status: Open, Closed, or All, with a few subcategories under Closed. However, "Open" suggestions include (a) suggestions with status "Lapsed" and (b) suggestions that can't be accepted or rejected because "Change already applied to the map." Please add filters that would allow us to exclude (a) and/or (b) from the Open category.

Manage closures in the Issue Tracker menu
Live closures are one of the most important contributions that editors can make to the Waze map
The functionality of viewing past closures on the map has recently been added, which adds complexity to the view.
This suggestion involves managing closures from the Issue Tracker, allowing you to filter those that have been completed, those that are about to expire, or those within a period of time; or by zones in the same way as the UR, PUR or MP
I guess this sug includes this one: https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/47514620-show-only-active-closures and this one https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59225-map-editor-suggestions/suggestions/45584869-move-closures-history-to-the-closures-tab164 votes -
Avoid Tunnels
New feature in the app and WME to avoid tunnels such as ferries, tolls…

Add general destination information to URs
URs have been improved by adding more information in WME 2.206, and it would be nice to continue to add information that doesn't jeopardize the privacy of the reporter.
My idea would be to add information on how the stop point of a user's route was obtained - whether it be a house number, house number interpolation, RPP, Google address, Waze place, Google place, etc. Specifics on the geographic location wouldn't be needed, it would just be very beneficial to know how the stop point was chosen. We get a lot of URs complaining about navigation ending at the wrong…

Allow editing TBR of segments covered by Junction Boxes
If a segment is fully or partially covered with a JB, we cannot add, remove or modify time-base restrictions for it. The only way to do that today is to delete JB, to edit TBR, and then to create JB anew. This limitation seems excessive.

Issue Tracker: Stop defaulting to All Issues - remember last saved filter selected
If you don't have a Pinned Save Filter, Waze should remember the last Save Filter selected rather than reverting back to "All Issues".
If I'm working on a Saved Filter, and need to refresh, it's more than likely I want to continue working on that same filter afterwards.

Default new users in US and UK to Imperial units
Since the wonderful new Edit Suggestions tool has been released, we have seen many (too many) suggestions from well-meaning users in the US to change speed limits to values like 16 or 31 mph. Obviously these users were set by default to use metric units without realizing it.
If a user tries to edit using the WME for the first time in a country that uses Imperial speed limits (which I believe is only the US, UK, Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, and the Cayman Islands), their units should automatically be set to Imperial by default.
52 votesGreat timing! We're currently working on defaulting new users in the US and UK to Imperial units. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

Allow combining chargers when merging EVCS
When merging EVCS, give users the option to include both sets of chargers. For some reason, some networks (ahem, ChargePoint) sometimes list multiple charger sites in the same parking lot or garage. If we try to merge them, we have to select one or the other set of chargers. Please add an option to include both sets.

Suggestions for seeing the number of users who viewed our profile on WME
As in the waze discuss profile we can see how many people have seen our profile
Can something similar be implemented in our profile on the Waze Map Editor https://www.waze.com/user/editor/user
so we can see how many of our wme profiles have been viewed by users
thank you

Add DPMs with the Paths feature
Instead of hassling around with segment types and names to get a DPM (Detour Prevention Mechanism) working, a more straightforward approach would be to create a Path, cycle through the possible routes and mark it as DPM. This would be great for intricate structures of parallel routes where you would want to define which routes are greatly preferred.

Parking lot type (motorcycles-only, cars-only, both)
It's very common, at least in Colombia, parking lots only for motorcycles and it's really dissapointing to arrive at a parking lot suggested by Waze, and realize that it's a motorcycle-only parking lot and you're driving a car.
Please add a new property in WME to choose the type of parking lot: motorcycles-only, cars-only, or both, and add a new feature in app to filter by parking lot type.51 votesThanks for your feedback. Allow forcing a closure to expire (instead of deleting the closure)
The WME shows now the status of all recently finished and all active closures. A deleted closure will not be visible anymore.
For that reason, we prefer to "finish" closures instead of deleting them.
It would be nice to have an option in the context menu of closures, to make the closure expire, by setting its end moment to now.107 votes -
Acceptance of adding a road closure without the need to manually specify the "event"
I often handle the addition and removal of road closures via phone, but when I enter the dates, I am required to specify the type of event for it to be accepted. I believe it would be better to make the option more seamless, so that if "Add" is clicked, the road closure is added. If there is an event, I will certainly add it, but there’s no need to force me to select the "None" option just to proceed with the addition.

Use URL to add external provider
Sometimes WME fails to locate a right matching place from Google Maps, but the place can be found with Google search engine. As a solution I suggest to enable WME to assign a matching place also by a known URL from Google Maps.

Road shields, ability to add different sign as override to the major one used for that street name
In Finland, we currently have named roads as "180 - Saaristotie" etc. and would like to get rid of the number in street name and just leave the shield. But that is not possible because we have quite a few locations where road number changes while road name stays the same. Another problem is when road category changes to minor road so that the number drops off completely.
So there is a need for feature where you could set an override shield to selected segments while the default sign for that road name stays active on other segments.

Inclusão de Semáforos, sem ou radar de velocidade.
I propose the implementation of marking all traffic lights, even those without speed radar, in the Waze app’s mapping system. This feature aims to enhance the navigation experience, provide greater driver safety, and enable more accurate and efficient routes.
Including traffic lights on the Waze map would allow:
Greater Accuracy in Route Time Calculation: By accounting for waiting times at traffic lights, Waze’s algorithm could offer more precise route estimates, preventing unexpected delays for users.
Suggestion of Faster and Safer Routes: With the location of traffic lights known, Waze could suggest alternative routes, avoiding intersections that require longer waiting times…

Move Previous Build Button
The small bar with tile build information moves and sometimes covers elements as different parts of WME are accessed. With the exception of my phone in landscape orientation, there seems to be an excessive amount of extra space on the tile bar. My suggestion is to move it to the tile bar on the left, near the settings button.

Message from a user reporting the end of a closure, does not indicate the location
As a map editor, we can sometimes insert numerous closures in one day, due to construction or traffic events.
When a user reports that a closure is no longer active, I, as the editor who created it, receive a message in my application. However, this message only indicates the information that the user reported. Example: “This road is not closed”
This does not provide additional information, such as the name of the road or even the location’s PL. If I create a lot of closures, I can’t identify which location it is.4 votes -
Move Ferry, Railroad and Runway/Taxiway road types away from road type fast selection buttons
Those mentioned road types are about as rarely needed as the walking trail so moving those away from the normal road type selection buttons would be reasonable, there's no sense to keep those there. Maybe make submenu of those + Walking trail to that part of Unify Action Area?
This would have 2 benefits, it saves a little more of that limited space on left panel and also it helps to prevent accidental clicks which change road type and may go unnoticed when editor hits Save.

Issue Tracker: within the Areas I Manage list, add an "All my areas" option
An All my areas option will give me a high-level view of all the areas I manage without selecting each area.
21 votesGreat timing! We’re currently working on adding an option to see the list of all the area you manage. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.
