An error occurred while saving the comment I agree! I have posted this before, but the responses I got was questioning if I had voice/direction alerts on at all. I was trying to communicate that the turn alerts are not early enough ahead of turn, especially at freeway speeds. There maybe needs to be an accounting for speed limits on roads when determining the timing of turn alerts (i.e. at freeway speeds notify 3-6 seconds earlier).

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

What we are aiming to do here is speed based alerters.
Mebane, North Carolina is supposed to be pronounced “MEH-bin” but Waze pronounces it “Me-BANE,” which is frustrating. At one print in a beta build a year ago they introduced “Ben 2” and other names with a “2” like “Lisa 2” and those finally correctly pronounced most local towns like “Mebane.” But the developers took that feature away within a few days and it hasn’t been back since. So I know the potential for more accurate local pronunciation of names is available to implement.
