  1. improve directions for intersection of Avenue Road and Glencairn Avenue, Toronto, Ontario

Traffic is not allowed to cross Avenue Road on Glencairn Ave., or to turn left - for both eastbound and westbound traffic. There have been many accidents at this site and signs are posted. Yet Waze sends vehicles across Avenue road in a manner that is contrary to local road laws. There is no light or stop sign at this intersection; traffic on Avenue Road is through traffic and not required to stop. Please stop sending vehicles across Avenue Road when they are traveling on Glencairn Ave. in Toronto, Ontario. The accidents cost all of us time and money.

  2. Flag when route contains tolls

Yesterday I was going from Kfar Saba to Tel Aviv in the morning and the route ended costing me over a 150 NIS.

I often use Waze and trust it so I put in the address and followed the route. At some point I realized that it was taking me to Road 6 (which I didn't want to take because I am with a rental car at the moment and they charge extra) it was too late to turn back at that point so I proceeded. Only to discover that the route was now taking me to the fast lane…

  3. Ask for Road Assistance

After helping some fellow drivers with changing tires (mostly women and old folks), I think it would be a nice feature if someone in distress can "raise" virtual hand, asking other drivers for help.

  4. Add vehicle on road ahead (currently only offers shoulder option)

Knowing if a vehicle is stopped on the road or on the shoulder is critical. This information could be life-saving. We recommend updating your navigation app to include this feature.

  5. ezpass only roads (I-66 VA)

Waze should pop up a warning to tell users you MUST have an EZPass to use this road. This is a new issue that applies to I-66 in northern Virginia between I-495 (beltway) and DC. Effective Monday, December 4, 2017 this critical highway in the DC area used by many out of state folks, tourists and business folks alike, you must have an EZPass to get on this road. The tolls are dynamic during rush hour and have no price cap. Tolls can be $40 or more. Waze should warn drivers of this. Given the complexity…

  9. Change “Watch Out” for cars on the side of road & watch out for construction (should only be used for POLICE)

Please change the loud scary phrase “Watch Out” for everything...should only be USED FOR POLICE OR POT HOLES! I jump every time it comes on. Maybe use approaching construction or approaching car on the side of the road.

  10. Use road posted speed limits plus user speeds for in route algorythim

This will help find a better route based on posted speed. Also if we could calculate average speed of wayze users in a route area to help adjust for traffic. as in this road has a posting of 50 MPH but average user speed is 25 this equals bad traffic and should re-route to a road that is 35MP with little to no traffic. to set aside from others who do this allow a setting to limite the number of in route routing adjustments. Some may become overwhelmed with to many re-directions on the fly.

    The direct route is not…

  11. Android Auto 2019 GUI - add speed display/warning/ road incidentsin footer

When no destination is set and Waze map is not selected, the footer only displays the Waze icon and leaves a large empty area -> additional minimized information can be added: road incident or current speed/overspeed information

  13. report on a road I'm not on

I would like to be able to report activity that I'm not necessarily in the middle of. For example, I just exited a parkway right before massive traffic which was being caused by an accident with a lot of police activity, but because I didn't stay on the road I'm not able to report it to help others.

  16. Why is the road works warning now a generic ‘Hazard’?

It’s important to give warnings as specific as possible so a driver concentrates on the road rather than studying a screen to find out what’s up. Forcing me to divert my attention to phone or display screen is downright dangerous. Please revert to specific warnings in the interest of road safety.

  17. Unpaved road warning

If a Waze user turns off unpaved roads and goes somewhere requiring their use, they should receive a pop-up warning before starting the route instead of taking them as close as possible. Something like: “All routes to [ADDRESS] require driving on unpaved roads. Would you like to continue?” The user should be able to temporarily opt out of avoiding unpaved roads.

Oftentimes, a user who turns off unpaved roads is routed far from the actual destination.

I edit in a U.S. state with over 50% unpaved roads. This addition would improve the user experience significantly,…

  18. Road closure navigation update

When driving and find that the highway you're about to get on is closed. You sit in traffic for 45 minutes. After you pass the highway it continues to try to navigate you onto the highway when it is closed due to an accident

  19. Avoid Small Road : Especially on car, we prefer bigger road, which will provide less accident risk, altought the distance increase.

Especially on car, we prefer bigger road, which will provide less accident risk, altought the distance and traffic could increase. Some of us aren't that expert drivers, and some of us also using luxury cars that we need to reduce accident probability at all

  20. Treat roads with RTC as routable pedestrian path

Right now, when trying to route to a destination on a closed road, it's pretty much like the road no longer exists and Waze will route to the nearest open road.

Sometimes, this means that users will be routed somewhere completely different, like to the middle of a highway, to the other side of a raildroad track into a completely different neighbourhood, etc.

Segments with RTCs on them should be treated as a routable pedestrian path: route the driver to the closest entry point.
