Allow custom car icon image upload
It would allow anyone to have it's own car image instead of the arrow.

GPS coordinates
It would be great to have a GPS dashboard panel, displaying in the same screen:
- Longitude, Latitude & Elevation
- Velocity
- GPS status (fixed, not fixed, ...)
- Signal's strength

Voice commands when using Waze in Android Auto
Please update Waze so that I can use voice to report hazards. When using Waze on my phone, I can report hazards via Google assistant but it does not work when using Waze in Android auto. I have to look away from the road and touch screen 3 different time to report a hazard. Very dangerous

Return the displaying of FB friends on a map in app.
Most users are interested in where their friends are, not unknown people. Need to make FB friends be visible on the map all the time, not just when they are within 1 km. There is an invisible button for Confidentiality to compliance in the application.

Prevent drivers from spamming map editors with update requests (URs)
Waze volunteer map editors have, over a number of years, have raised concerns about the ability for app users, whether intentionally or unintentionally, to submit a high volume of map update requests through the app and other sources. This issue has been consistently raised by volunteer editors at all levels, including editors, area managers, state and country managers, as well as local and global champs who are on the ground editing the map daily. Stop automatically rerouting to Waze's preferred route
Your selected route should be "sticky" or require permission to change.
Waze is great, we all know that. But there is one issue that is almost service-breaking. When I select an alternate route, as opposed to waze's preferred route, if I make one minor change (such as backing out to the left when Waze expected me to go right), Waze will put me back on its preferred route.

Add 'beep only' option to the sound options
I now have the options: no sound / alerts only / sound on. I'd like a quiet mode, but I don't want to miss navigation cues. A beep only mode would be nice.

Lockscreen Route View
After using the new maps on iOS 6 I could only come up with a little amount of good new features the maps app has. The most helpful one is that the route you are following is displayed on our lock screen, so you can lock your cellphone to avoid people to use your phone while using the gps to get to a please, and also to save some battery. Voice actors from the popular kids show "Bluey" for navigation. This would be a hit.

Car on right or left side of the road
Letting drivers know what side of the road the car is on.
The first report os just "car is on the the side of the road," once reported the next wazer can confirm which side right or left.

Ability to switch speed/speed limit display.
The speed limit is the critical information. Currently it is the smaller of the two shown. Often, on a phone, the speed limit is too hard to read.

Stop using last direction of travel to determine directions on startup.
Waze should not use the last direction of travel for determining routes. Instead of routing 5 turns to go the opposite direction on a roadway, waze should just say "go east/west/north/south on xx" or just not have any audible direction and send you on the fastest path mid segment.

Mute voice guidance near home/work
Please have an option to mute the voice guidance in a radius of [X] distance from my home, and/or from work. Alerts should not be muted by this setting.
It's annoying that I have to listen to voice guidance near my home -- I know how to get from my house to the main road, thank you very much! But turning the voice off and on again during the drive (during every drive!) is a nuisance and a safety risk.
